Thomas Buse
GENEVA - Thomas W. Buse, 73, of Morrison Street, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at the Rae Ann Nursing Home.
Born May 14, 1928, in Cleveland, he was the son of Waldo and Minnie (Haddick) Buse.
A resident of Geneva since 1991, Mr. Buse retired from Len Chemical as a chemical operator. He also worked for Industrial Rayon, Painesville, and True Temper, Geneva.
He was a 1948 graduate of Madison High School.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; a daughter, Theresa Swick of Geneva; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Myers of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside service will be held with the family at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva, with lay pastor Gordon Emerson of Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.

Julia M. Holmes
GENEVA - Julia M. Warren Holmes, 102, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at her home. She was born June 1, 1900 in Ashtabula.
She was a lifelong Geneva resident and worked at the Geneva 5 & 10, Champion Hardware, Industrial Rayon, Geneva Savings and Trust and Kauvar’s.
Mrs. Holmes gradated from Geneva High School in 1918. She was the oldest member of Geneva First United Methodist Church, which she attended for 89 years. She was in the choir, keystone class and Miriam-Esther circle there.
Survivors include two daughters, Nola Morey of Geneva and Margaret Harcourt of Grangeville, Idaho; a stepdaughter, Joyce Howard of Geneva; and ten grandchildren, Sherry Gleason, Terry Bevans, Edwin, Jeff and Julie Harcourt, Janice Vincent, James Morey, Susan Bliss, Cathy Lipmert and Jerry Howard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clarence C. Warren in 1940; her second husband, Donald Holmes in 1980; five brothers, Thorpe, Charles, George, Louis and Elmer Miller; two sisters, Florence Reynolds and Marjorie Benbow.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Hugh Hookway of Geneva First United Methodist Church officiating.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Anne P. Ward
GENEVA - Anne P. Ward, 78, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 at Rea-Ann Geneva nursing home. She was born Oct. 4, 1924, the daughter of Eugene and Lucy (Corrado) Pasqualone.
Mrs. Ward graduated from Geneva High School in 1942 and attended the Spencerian Business College. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva and the Jim Beam Bottle Club. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and putting jigsaw puzzles together.
She married Donald Ward on May 15, 1954 in Geneva. She owned and operated the Avalon Tavern with him.
Survivors include her husband, a son, John Ward of Port Richey, Fla.; a daughter, Sandy Dillingham of Port Richey, Fla.; a granddaughter, Megan; a sister, Norma Martin of Bay Village; a brother, Peter Pasqualone of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ozzie Pasqualone; and a sister, Doris Kessler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Church., 594 W. Main St., Geneva with the Rev. Paul Tobin officiating.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.

Sherry L. Jones
GENEVA - Sherry L. Jones, 48, of North Avenue, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. She was born Jan. 11, 1955 in Painesville, the daughter of Charles S. and Donna V. (Winters) Hall.
Mrs. Jones lived in Geneva since 1969. She was a homemaker but worked two years as a secretary at Rae-Ann Geneva nursing home.
She married Gary A. Jones Jan. 4, 1974 in Geneva. She enjoyed baby-sitting, spending time with family, cross-stitching, sewing and playing bingo. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Geneva.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Melissa Kennedy of Geneva; two sons, Michael Jones and Steven Kennedy, both of Geneva; her parents of Geneva; five sisters, Sheila Vincent, Becky Coachman and Joy Jahn, all of Geneva, Dana Bayless of Ashtabula and Amy Hamrick of Austinburg; three brothers, Charles S. Jr., Mark A. and Rob L. Hall, all of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. Hugh Hookway, First United Methodist Church of Geneva, officiating.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
Doris L. Kothe
GENEVA - Doris L. Kothe, 71, of Geneva, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at her home.
She was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Geneva, the daughter of Clyde and Elva (Klinger) Kothe, and had been a lifelong city resident.
She was a 1948 graduate of Geneva High School.
She worked 17 years as an operator at Mid-Continent Telephone in Geneva, and was also employed at the Geneva Bakery and Al's Snow White Bakery in Geneva. She was a 20-year volunteer at the Geneva Hospital gift shop.
Survivors include several cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Service is 2 p.m. Friday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. The Rev. Bob Cunningham, of United Church in Geneva, will officiate. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling hour at the funeral home is 1 p.m. Friday until the time of service.

Margaret L. Craig
GENEVA - Margaret L. Craig, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Sunset Manor, Geneva.
Mrs. Craig was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Saybrook, the daughter of Clair and Blanche (McClair) Wright.
She lived in the Geneva area most of her life, where she worked at Erb Dry Cleaners. She was a member of The United Church of Geneva, and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Craig of York, S. C., Doug Craig of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; six sisters, Thelma Mercer, residence not given; Doris Rosenlof of Geneva; Betty Berly of Austinburg; Ilene Spade, Lura Douglas and Ruth Russell, all of Geneva; three brothers, the Rev. Richard Wright, address not given; and Dewane and Ronald Wright, both of Geneva.
Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl Craig, who she married April 9, 1936 in Westfield, N.Y.; son Roger Craig; three brothers, Wilber, Orville, and Clair Wright; two sisters, Leona Clement and Emogene Crandal; two siblings were stillborn and one died in infancy.
Calling hours are 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. The Rev. Larry Wade of Park Street Christian Church will officiate the funeral at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saybrook Cemetery.
