Okey Lee Brown
GENEVA - Okey Lee Brown, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at University Hospital of Cleveland after an extended illness.
Mr. Brown was born Oct. 30, 1930 in Clay County, W. Va., the son of Theodore Walter and Dola Masel White Foster Brown.
He worked as an autoworker with the General Motors Corporation in Lordstown.
Mr. Brown was a Baptist by Faith, and a member of the United Auto Workers.
He enjoyed gardening, his grandchildren, and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Masel Pritt Brown; four sons, Donald Lee Brown of Mentor, Lloyd Wayne Brown of Charleston, W.Va., Michael Leo Brown of Geneva, and Walter Franklin Brown of East Liverpool; two sisters, Imogene Craze of Dixie, W.Va., and Eva Baker of Jodie, W. Va.; five stepsisters, Emogene Booth of Ashtabula; Radie Price of Florida, Mazie Markle of Michigan, Josephine Humphrey of Belva, W.Va., and Mildred O'Dell of Ravenswood, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Okey Calvin Brown; two brothers, Kermit Dale and Burn Brown; and a step-brother, Preston Foster.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pennington Funeral Home Chapel, Cauley Bridge, W.Va. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, W.Va.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Thelma A. Armstrong
GENEVA - Thelma A. Armstrong, 91, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
She was born April 7, 1909 in Painesville, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Gaines) Brown.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William (Barney) Armstrong in 1988; three brothers, Harold, Lloyd, and Kenneth Brown; and three sisters, Hazel Propper, Lola Brooks, and Mildred Lewis.
A private service will be held Thursday at the Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva. The Rev. Larry Wade of the South Park Street Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Kyle Allen Hopson Misch
GENEVA - Kyle Allen Hopson Misch, 11, of Geneva Township, died accidentally Saturday, July 26, 2003. He was born on April 20, 1992, in Painesville.
Kyle was to be a 6th grade student at Spencer Elementary in Geneva this fall. He was a Boy Scout, attended Assumption Church in Geneva, and enjoyed hunting, wrestling, and bike riding with his friends.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Eric and Jammi Misch of Geneva; sister, Kasandra Misch; half brother, Terry Hopson; half sister, Brittany Hopson; Maternal Grandparents, Gary and Sheila Taylor of Geneva; Paternal Grandparents, Phillip and Bonnie Misch of Perry; Maternal Great-Grandparents, Walter and Lillian Taylor of Mentor; Maternal Great-Grandfather, Carl Reagon of Texas; Maternal Great-Grandmother, LaVerne Marsh of Andover; and Paternal Great-Grandmothers, Charlotte Sole of Eastlake, and Marian Misch of Mentor.
He was preceded in death by Maternal Great-Grandmother, Mable Reagon; Maternal Great-Grandfather, Edward Marsh; and cousins Taylor, Dakota, and Emma Titus.
Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at the Chapel in Union Cemetery, Rock Creek, with the interment following in Union Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday (today), July 29, 2003, at the PAINE-SIMPSON FUNERAL HOME, 3119 West Water Street, Rock Creek, Ohio.
Billy W. Puffenbarger
GENEVA - Billy W. (Puff) Puffenbarger, 53, Centennial Street, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
Born Dec. 13, 1948, in Westerley, W.Va., he was the son of James W. Sr. and Elizabeth (Armes) Puffenbarger.
A Navy veteran, who served from 1967 to 1973, Mr. Puffenbarger attended New Life Assembly of God in Geneva. He worked General Motors on Coit Road, Parma, and Lordstown, and was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 17114.
He enjoyed his family, reading and animals, and he was a sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia, of Geneva; three sons, Dale and Dean Puffenbarger and Jonathan Samples, all of Geneva; his parents, of Geneva; and a brother, James W. Puffenbarger Jr., also of Geneva.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. Harry Pishcura, of New Life Assembly of God in Geneva, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Frank Krantz
GENEVA - Frank Krantz, 84, of Sherman Street, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at the Rae-Ann Nursing Home.
He was born April 29, 1918, in Cleveland, to Isadore and Josephine (Zabukovec) Kranjc, and was a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Krantz served in the Army Air Force during World War II in the European Theater with the 389th Bomb Group.
He married Maxine Markham Nov. 11, 1955.
Mr. Krantz was employed with the True Temper plant in Geneva until his retirement.
He was a member of the United Church of Geneva. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn.
Survivors include sister Anne Nowakowski of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2000, and sisters Frances Olenik and Alice Rhoads.
Graveside service for Mr. Krantz and his wife is 1 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva, officiated by the Rev. Robert Cunningham of the United Church. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6846 of Geneva will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mr. and Mrs. Krantzs' memory can be made to the United Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva.

Donna J. Amrick
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE - Donna J. Squibbs Amrich, 70, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at her home.
She was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Girard, to David and Gertrude McCale Andrews. She lived most of her life in the Girard and Hubbard area until moving to Geneva-on-the-Lake in 1992.
She married Lohman Squibbs in October 1948. He died April 1, 1986. She married John J. Amrich Jan. 28, 1988.
Mrs. Amrich was a homemaker and former member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard. She was a former member of the Hubbard VFW Ladies' Auxiliary and the Hubbard Boosterettes. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother.
She enjoyed ceramics.
Survivors include husband John J. Amrich; sons Lohman Squibbs of Edgewater, Fla., Jacob Squibbs of Fort Worth, Texas and Michael Squibbs of Hubbard; daughters Diana Emanuel of Texas and Sharon Decot of Masury; brothers David Andrews of Lake Milton and Thomas Andrews of North Jackson; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and parents.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, 709 N. Main St., Hubbard.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
