Frances L. Allen
GENEVA - Frances Louise Allen, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at UHHS-Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
Mrs. Allen was born June 23, 1914, in Geneva, the daughter of Georgia Pearl (Bower) and John Leslie.
She worked as a secretary for the Geneva Food Pantry and the church board.
She was a member of the Park Street Christian Church since 1929, where she was an organist for more than 50 years. She also was a member of the Eastern Star for 67 years.
Mrs. Allen played keyboard in the Grace Notes Kazoo Band. She was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns and loved Scrabble, golf and bowling with her friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Allen of Lakewood; granddaughter, Meghan Augsburger of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Allen; daughter, Charlene Rader; brother, Gurdon Leslie; and sister, Erritta Kristler.
Service is11 a.m. Wednesday at Park Street Christian Church, 97 Park St., Geneva, with the Rev. Larry Wade officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Scott G. VanDervort
GENEVA - Scott G. VanDervort, 73, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at University Hospital, Cleveland.
He was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Bristolville, the son of William R. and Margaret I. (Goshorn) VanDervort
A 1947 Orwell High School graduate, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1948 to 1953
He and worked as warehouse manager for 30 years at Panasonic in California.
An avid reader, he enjoyed gambling, horses, flower gardening, and his family.
Survivors include four brothers, Dale of Blytheville, Ark., William B. Vandervort of Geneva, Dick of Lakewood, and Cliff of White Pine, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in North Church Cemetery, Orwell.
No calling hours will be observed.

Grace Mary Hull
GENEVA Grace Mary Hull, 76, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Esther Marie Nursing Home in Geneva.
She has been a resident of Geneva since 1972.
Born Oct. 29, 1924, in Rochester, N.Y., she was the daughter of Carmella DeBiteto and Fred Tarasco.
Mrs. Hull worked as a punch press operator for American Rolled Form, retiring in 1984.
She was active at Ashtabula Senior Center and enjoyed reading, arts and crafts.
Survivors include a daughter, Tarry Palm of Geneva; a son, John of Geneva; two grandchildren: Andrea and Ashley; a sister, Peg Candeleri of Rochester; and a brother, Dom Tarasco of Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joe Cassuano.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at The Behm Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Paul Tobin of Assumption Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

Anna R. Sprague
GENEVA - Anna R. Sprague, 85, of Spencer Circle, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Shelbyville, Ind., the daughter of George and Emma B. Koohns, and had been an area resident most of her life.
She was retired from Mid-Continent Phone Co., Ashtabula, as a customer service supervisor. She also worked at the Geneva Phone Co., as a waitress at Chapman's Restaurant, and at the Geneva True Temper plant.
She was a member of the United Church, Geneva, where she was chairman of Blanket Sunday and chairman of church material aid missions; was chairman of the United Ciarcle and served as church treasurer for more than 25 years.
She was a member of Grace Chapter 11, Order of Eastern Star, for more than 38 years, and served as treasurer. She was Past Matron; in 1978 was deputy grand matron for Ohio's District 1; was a member of Galley Shrine 41; and a member of White Shrine of Jerusalem.
She enjoyed reading and embroidery.
Survivors include a son, Richard of Gambrills, Md.; three stepdaughters, Linda Stern, Louise Ebanito and Leverne Lewis, all of Ashtabula; and a granddaughter, Toyia-Marie Sprague.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd "Slim, " in 1990; three brothers, William, Robert and Frank; and two sisters, Mary and Catherine.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Bob Cunningham of The United Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be observed at 7:45 p.m.

Joan Bernard
GENEVA - Joan "Lucy" Bernard, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
She was born April 15, 1936 in Spangler, Pa., the daughter of Angelo and Bernadine (Artuso) Yanitelli.
She married Anthony Bernard Feb. 28, 1956, in Patton, Pa.
Mrs. Bernard was a homemaker. She enjoyed serving Sunday family spaghetti dinners, reading her Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She attended Geneva Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Anthony Jr., John, and William, all of Geneva, and Ronald of Concord Township; two daughters, Ruth Ann Cuccaro and Linda Jackson, both of Geneva; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Thomasine Freeman and Mary Pompa, both of Patton, Pa., Emily Petrakis of Modesto, Calif., Pauline Lacey of Willoughby, and Dolly Mangold of Cressen, Pa.; and one brother, Sam Yanitelli of Northfield, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel; her parents; and two brothers, Joseph and Frank.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Joshua R. Ankney

GENEVA - Joshua R. Ankney, age 22, died Wednesday Feb. 25, 2009, at UH-Conneaut Medical Center, following complications from injuries sustained in an ATV accident on Nov. 30, 2008.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 30, 1986, the son of Samuel and Belva (Kaufman) Ankney.
Joshua was a hard working mechanic and painter. He was very active with 4-H of Ashtabula County and was also a member of the Boy Scouts when he was growing up.
He is survived by his parents; mother, Belva (Ted Wojtonek) of Trumbull and father, Samuel of Defiance, Ohio; his brother, Joseph of Defiance; his maternal grandfather, F. Wallace Kaufman of Trumbull; paternal grandmother, Barbara Ankney of Paulding, Ohio; and step-brothers, Ted and Ken Wojtonek.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elsie R. Kaufman in 1997; and grandfather, Donald Ankney in 1998.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Geneva Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 323 S. Broadway.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
