Miro R. Turk, Sr.
HOLLYWOOD, FL - Miro R. Turk, Sr., 75, of Miramar, FL, died Saturday, November 29, 2003 in Memorial Regional Hospital, Hollywood, FL.
He was born in Conneaut on November 20, 1928, son of the late Frank and Frances (Slegovec) Turk.
Mr. Turk was employed by the former Nickle Plate and N&W; Railroads in the maintenance department for 47 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean war. He was a member of the St. Frances Cabrini Church.
Mr. Turk enjoyed woodworking and mechanical repairs.
He is survived by a daughter Denise Marie Costello of Pompano Beach, FL; his son, Miro R. Turk, Jr. of Southwest Ranches, FL; and two sisters, Flora DeNunzio of Conneaut, and Mary Kuzna of Croatia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Delores.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville. Reverend Raymond Thomas, Pastor of the St. Frances Cabrini Church, will be officiating.
Arrangements will be handled by the THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main Street, Conneaut.
Helen Beverly (Rappold) Moffatt
EVANS, GA - Helen Moffatt, 70, beloved wife of Thomas Moffatt, entered into rest on Thursday, November 13, 2003, at her residence in Augusta, GA.
Helen was the last remaining daughter of the late Marion (Lintala) Robertson.
A native of Conneaut, she was a graduate of Conneaut High School, class of 1951. Her last visit in 2001 was to attend her 50th class reunion.
Mrs. Moffatt was a member of the Greater Atlanta Violet Club, a senior judge with the National African Violet Society, a senior council member of the Georgia State African Violet Council, and was previously involved with several African Violet clubs throughout California before moving to Augusta.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Thomas Charles Moffatt. Local relatives include a nephew, Tom Shubitowski of Conneaut.
Andre´ Smith, Jr.
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE – Andre´ Smith, Jr., infant son of Andre´ and Amanda (Petro) Smith, died at home Monday, May 31, 2004.
He was born January 21, 2004 in Ashtabula.
Survivors include his parents, Andre´ and Amanda (Petro) Smith and a sister, Kalaya Marie Smith, of Geneva-on-the-Lake; paternal grandparents, Joyce and Bennie Smith, of Chicago; paternal great grandmother, Rev. Minnie Means, of Chicago; paternal great grandfather, N.L. Means, of Chicago; maternal grandmother, Lissa Petro, of Geneva-on-the-Lake; maternal grandfather, James Petro, of Dixon, IL; and maternal great grandfather, Albert Bell, of Geneva.
Graveside Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 7 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva with the Rev. Minnie Means of Chicago, IL officiating.

LILLIE M. STILTNER-BALL
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE -- Lillie M. Stiltner-Ball, age 90, a resident of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio, died Thursday, February 9, 2006, at UHHS-Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
Born in Logan, West Virginia, she was the daughter of John C. and Susan K. (Thornhill) Wright and has been a Ashtabula County resident since 1965. On April 22, 2000, she married Hayward P. Ball in Ashtabula.
Mrs. Ball was an assembler for General Instrument and had also worked in the Ashtabula County Home Dietary Department.
She attended Church of the Living God in Ashtabula and Free Pentecostal Fellowship Church in Geneva.
Lillie enjoyed crocheting, gardening, music, reading the Bible, and Nursing Home Ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Hayward "Pete" Ball of Geneva-on-the-Lake; daughters, Mary Pratt of Ashtabula, Martha (Victor) Baker of Jefferson, Nancy (James) Rose of Alexis, North Carolina, Elva (Doyle) Cobble of Burkburnett, Texas, and Della (Miles) McCoy of Kernersville, North Carolina; sons, James A. (Deloris) Stiltner and Roy (Earline) Stiltner, both of Ashtabula, and Charles (Sherri) Stiltner of Conneaut; stepchildren, Katherine (Danny) Hessley of Geneva, Charlotte Sheetz of Maple Heights, and Richard "Rick" Ball of Paragold, Arkansas; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, James W. Stiltner; a son, John Calvin; granddaughter, Patricia Rose; great-grandchild, Dakota Rose; her twin brother, Lonnie Ray Wright; and brothers Willard, Silas, Paul and Walter.
Calling Hours were held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2006, at the C. A. WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, February 14, 2006, at the Free Pentecostal Fellowship Church, 3138 North County Line Road, Geneva, with Reverend Robert Falke, of Church of the Living God, and Sister Janie McGee, of the Free Pentecostal Fellowship Church, co-officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.

SALVATORE PALMA III
GENEVA -- Salvatore Palma III, age 13, of Oak Hill, FL, died Saturday, December 24, 2005, in Geneva, OH.
He was born on February 5, 1992, in Painesville, OH, the son of Angela Futch and Salvatore Palma.
Salvatore was a 6th grade student at New Smyrna Beach Middle School in Florida.
He loved Nintendo games, playing football, four squares and working on his bike. He loved animals including his five cats.
Survivors include his mother, Angela Futch of Oak Hill, FL; father, Salvatore (Melissa) Palma of Geneva, OH; brothers, Vincent Palma and Joseph Palma of Oak Hill, FL; sister, Alisha Palma of Geneva; maternal grandparents, Virginia Miller of Painesville and William Rowan of Oak Hill, FL; maternal great-grandfather, Sonny Shepard of Oak Hill, FL; paternal grandparents, Jean and Salvatore Palma of Madison.
He was preceded in death by Anthony Michael Palma, who died in the same accident.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2005, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 26 River St., Madison, OH.
Funeral service will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Volusia County, FL.

JAMES J. DOVALOSKY
GENEVA -- James J. Dovalosky died Saturday, December 24, 2005, at Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Geneva. Son of Joseph Dovalosky. James learned the trade business from his father, who came to this country at the age of 18. His father was the founder of Tatra Savings and Loan Co., in WoodHill, and the First Catholic Slovak Union. He built churches in Pittsburgh, PA, and Cleveland, and built homes in Lakewood. James entered the service at 26, spending 5 years in the Merchant Marines during World War II. After the war, he spent 3 years in Las Vegas, building game rooms.
Celebration of Life is Friday, December 30, 2005, 7 to 9 p.m., at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
CLARENCE A. ROSE
GENEVA -- Clarence A. Rose, age 82, of Geneva Twp., died Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at UHHS-Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
He was born April 23, 1923, in Saybrook Twp., the son of Bert and Grace (Williamson) Rose, and had been a lifetime Geneva-area resident.
Mr. Rose served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a machinist at True Temper in Saybrook and Geneva; was a member of The United Church, Geneva; and a Life member of the Geneva VFW Post 6846, and Geneva FOE #2243.
Mr. Rose enjoyed gardening and was a sports fan.
On September 5, 1998, he married Rita M. (Howard) in Geneva.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; one daughter, Judath Hale DuBois of Geneva; a stepdaughter, Sandra (Jeff) Patton of South Webster, OH; two stepsons, Gary (Nyla) Nichols of Geneva, and Jerry (Tammy) Nichols of Ashtabula; a granddaughter, Janice (Ken) Allds of California; three grandsons, Lou (Pam) Hale, Jason (Cindy) DuBois of Geneva, and John Hale of Mississippi; 10 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ardythe (Brewer) Rose, in 1992; his parents; grandson, Nathan in 1994; seven brothers, Bert Jr., Lee Arthur, Albert, Wilmer, Franklin, Frank and Robert; five sisters, Ruth Dayton, Velma Spargo, Maudie Jacobs, Myrtle Rerko and Violet Rose.
Calling hours will be today, December 15, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2005, at the funeral home, with Rev. Bob Cunningham of The United Church, Geneva, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
