GENEVA -- Jane L. Goff, age 81, of Garfield St. Geneva died Thursday, January 12, 2006, at her home.
She was born June 21, 1925, in Ashtabula County the daughter of Henry and Florence (Libert) Coy and has been a lifetime area resident.
She enjoyed playing cards, yard work and spending time with her family.
Surviving her are three daughters, Donna Reigert of Geneva, Cheryl (Lynn) Page of Geneva, and Robin Leon of South Carolina; three sons, Richard Goff, Randy Goff and Daniel (Louise) Goff all of Geneva; two brothers, Perry Coy and Henry K. Coy of Geneva; five sisters, Annabelle Goff, Betty Bowser, Alta Coy, Edith Coy and Hazel Coy all of Geneva; grandchildren, Steve, Jason, Stephanie, Denise, Cindy, Michael, Tim, Dawn, Alyson, Tracy, Cassandra, Daniel, Samantha, Trista and Sara Jane. Great Grandchildren,, Devin, Kurt, Kylie Jo, Marley, Brett, Tyler, Kreig, Hunter, Troy, Kalli, Jenna, Kobe, Javier and Marlena. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald in 1972 two brothers, Robert Libert and David Coy and a sister, Gertrude Coy.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at 11 a.m., at the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS GENEVA HOME, 323 South Broadway, Geneva with Rev. Larry Wade of the Park St. Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
Calling hours will be Monday, January 16, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
David James Cole

David James Cole, age 15, E. Main St., Geneva, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at his residence.
He was born December 1, 1995 in Ashtabula, the son of Redina R. Cole and Phillip Colton and has lived in the Geneva area all of his life. David was a ninth grader at Geneva High School. He was an adventurous person that enjoyed camping, drawing, working out and riding his bike.
He is survived by his mother, Redina R. Cole of Geneva, his father, Phillip Colton of Dorset Twp., grandparents, Marilyn & James Cole of Geneva, an uncle, Jerry Cole of Geneva, an aunt, Laura (Mark) Ward-Conn of Tucson, AZ and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 P. M. at the Geneva Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva with Pastor Jason Hockran, associate pastor of the Andover United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 P. M. at the funeral home. Contributions may be directed to the family, in c/o Redina Cole, 450 E. Main St., Geneva, OH 44041, envelopes will be at the funeral home.
JEAN M. KING
AUSTINBURG -- Jean Meredith King, age 80, of Geneva, former resident of Painesville, Born June 18, 1925, in Alliance, Ohio, died January 13, 2005, at Austinburg Nursing and Rehab Center, Austinburg, Ohio.
She was a member of the Saybrook United Methodist.
She was retired from the Geneva Library where she worked in the genealogy dept.
Survived by her daughter Jan (Wayne) Jones of Geneva; son Phillip King of Denver Co; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Preceded by a brother James H Meredith Jr.
Services will be Tuesday, January 17, 1006, at 11 a.m., at the Saybrook United Methodist Church, Depot Street Saybrook Rev. Donna Vantrees will officiate.
Burial will be in Perry Cemetery Friends will be received at the JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME, 368 Mentor Ave. Painesville (Opposite Lake Erie College) on Monday, January 16, 2006, 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Ruth E. Camp

Ruth E. Camp, 93 of South Broadway, Geneva died Friday (Sept. 30th) at the Geneva Villages Retirement Center. She was born December 31, 1918 in Harpersfield, Ohio the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Chapman) Dusenbury.
She had been employed as an Executive Secretary at the Battelle Institute in Columbus, Ohio and with International Harvester in Florida.
She had been a member of the Town and Country Club in Geneva. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and she enjoyed being around people.
Surviving her is a sister, Helen Matteson of Geneva and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Boice Wayne Camp in 1963; two sisters, Viola Belconis and Alta Dusenbury and two brothers, Fred and Ernest Dusenbury.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, (Oct. 4th) 6:00 PM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 South Broadway Geneva with Rev. Roger Zale, Chaplain of Hospice of the Western Reserve officiating. Burial will be at Glen Rest Cemetery in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Roy G. Sweeney
October 16, 1938 - November 1, 2011

Roy G. Sweeney, 73 of Lake Rd East, Geneva died Tuesday (Nov. 1st) at his home. He was born (October 16, 1938 in Paris, Kentucky the son of William L. and Thelma L. (Bradburn) Sweeney.
He had served in the Army during the mid 1950’s and while stationed in France he received the French Medal of Honor and also the Congressional Medal from the United States. Following service in the Army he served 11 years with the Ohio National Guard with the 107th Armored Calvary.
He was employed as a Iron Worker and Welder with Local #17 Iron Workers Union for 35 years retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #112 of Madison; VFW Post #6846 of Geneva and the Audubon Society. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, sky diving, scuba diving and white water rafting.
Surviving him are his son, Patrick “Rick” (Edna) Sweeney of Geneva; a daughter, Lena “Penny” (Robert) Gething of Austinburg; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Sweeney of Leroy, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jason, Alisha, Christine, Joe, Ashley and Christopher; three great-grandchildren, Jason, Trishtin and Ryan; and a sister, Jane (Charles) Rought of Ashtabula. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice L. Sweeney in 2007’ by two sons, Timothy R. Sweeney in 1987 and James A. Sweeney in 2008 and by three brothers, Paul Sweeney, Frank Thomas Hicks and James Sweeney.
Funeral service will be Friday (Nov. 4th) at 11:00 AM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 South Broadway, Geneva with Pastor Phil Pearson of the Lake Erie Church of God officiating. With military rites by Geneva VFW Post #6846 following the service. Burial will take place at later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.

Clouris M. Arden

Clouris M. Eller Arden, 94 of South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio died Monday (Nov. 14th) at University Hospitals of Geneva. She was born December 6, 1916 in Madison, Ohio the daughter of Lawrence and Waitee (Schroeder) Eller and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army.
She is a member of the Geneva First United Methodist Church. She is a member of the Robert Beutler Chapter of OES of Tallahassee, Florida where she was past Worthy Matron twice. She was also a member of the Florida Grand Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her family and she was always a happy and helpful person.
Surviving her is her sister, Maxine King of Geneva and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Arden in 1968; three brothers, Larry Eller, Clarence, Eller and Merrell Eller and seven sisters, Mabel Wolcott, Susie Maltby, Mildred Beers, Lela Pethtel, Ethel Cosgrove, Vesta White and Lula Beaber.
Funeral service will be Saturday (Nov. 19th) at 11:30 AM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 South Broadway, Geneva with Rev. Paula Marbury officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Geneva VFW Post #6846. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Madison, Ohio.
