Donna F. Piper
JEFFERSON - Donna Francis Piper, 72, of Chestnut St., Jefferson, died Friday, May 23, 2003, at her home.
She was born on February 2, 1931, in Lenox, OH, the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Housel) Anderson, and has been an area resident all of her life.
Mrs. Piper enjoyed traveling, cooking, country music, and most of all, her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall, whom she married May 7, 1948, in Greenup, KY; two children, Cheryl English of Jefferson, and Rodney Piper of Sommerville, TN; two brothers, Carl of Dorset and Larry of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Clarice Franklin of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren, Cortney, Linsey, Brandon, Ryan, Lonnie, and Michele; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Kim Piper, on April 13, 1999; one brother, Donald Anderson; and a sister, Arlene Easton.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Ducro Funeral Services-Jefferson Home, 17 N. Market St., Jefferson, with Rev. Meredith Coleman, pastor of Jefferson United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 27, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ducro Funeral Services-Jefferson Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County, 2412 Lake Rd., Ashtabula, OH. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
RAYMOND KADERLY
NEW LYME - Raymond Kaderly, 85, of Dodgeville Rd., died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at his home. He was born on July 3, 1917, in Dover, OH, the son of Homer and Amelia (Kappler) Kaderly, and has been an area resident since 1948.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Ducro Funeral ServicesJefferson Home, 17 N. Market St., Jefferson. Burial will follow at Brownville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be today, May 26, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Ducro Funeral Services.
John Recher
MELBOURNE, Fla. - John Recher, 63, of Melbourne, Fla., died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Wuesthoff Medical Center, Rockledge, Fla.
He was born March 27, 1939, in Cleveland, the son of Frank J. and Margaret (Gromofsky) Recher.
A 1958 graduate of Spencer High School in Geneva, Mr. Recher served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was an oil exploration technician and traveled throughout the world. He was an avid reader.
He is survived by his mother, of Geneva; two brothers, Frank Recher of Melbourne, Fla., and Louis Recher of Richmond, Va.; four sisters, Mary Laffey of Ashtabula, Chris Kohli of Harpersfield, and Connie King and Vicky Whelpley, both of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his father, in 1993; and a sister, Betty Perry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 W. Main St., Geneva, with the Rev. Paul Tobin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Harpersfield Township Cemetery.

Lillie M. Jones
JEFFERSON - Lillie Mae Jones, 104, of East Beech Street, Jefferson, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at University Hospitals, Cleveland.
She was born Oct. 30, 1896, to Walter V. Jones and Della J. (Gharky) Jones in Ford, Ohio.
Ms. Jones was employed by National Acme in Cleveland. She also worked for Bay Shore Village and Art Vogel Dry Cleaners in Andover. She enjoyed fishing in Canada, playing cards and raising sheep.
Survivors include two sons, Karl S. Jones of Garfield Hts. and Ronald E. Jones of Lady Lake, Fla.; three daughters, Juanita E. Payne of Kingsville, Phyllis S. Coy of Dorset and Marcella L. Slozat of Linesville; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Christopher Hicks, one great-great granddaughter, Angel Coy; two brothers, Paul and William Jones; two sisters, Mildred Prample and Daisy Jackson.
Funeral will be Friday at noon, at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. until noon.
Burial will be in Shadyside Cemetery, Auburn Township.
Thomas J. Kohl
JEFFERSON - Thomas J. Kohl, 79, of Elliott Avenue, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at his home.
Born March 27, 1923, in Lakewood, he was the son of Frank and Otilla (Burgert) Kohl and had been a Lakewood resident most of his life before moving to Taos, N.M., in 1987, and then returning to Jefferson in 1999.
Mr. Kohl was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force. A graduate of Mississippi State University, he married Dolores M. Lambert on Sept. 2, 1950, at St. Clement's Church, Lakewood.
Mr. Kohl worked as a loan supervisor with National City Bank for 27 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the 25-Year Club at National City Bank. While in Taos, he enjoyed mountain climbing, metal detecting, hunting arrowheads, collecting art and making jewelry. Several of his pieces are on display in galleries in Taos.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Lisa E. Murray of Nokesville, Va., Susan M. Kohl of Taos, and Joan D. Thompson of Jefferson; five grandchildren, Julie, Christopher and Stacey Murray, Marie Kohl and Mia Sollard; and a sister, Mary Lou Gaydos of Middleburg Heights.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard.
Cremation will take place at the Care Group Cremation Center, Jefferson, with his ashes to be scattered in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains around Taos. No other services or calling hours will be observed.
The Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, has charge of the arrangements.
Mary I. Delgrosso
ORANGE PARK, Fla. - Mary Irene Delgrosso, 88, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Orange Park Hospital.
Mrs. Delgrosso lived in Geneva until moving to Jacksonville, Fla., in 1974.
Survivors include a son, Joe Delgrosso; three daughters, Patricia Kananen, Marilyn Sackett and Marlene Taylor; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Kananen.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, Fla.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fla.
