Theresa H. Raschella
AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP - Theresa H. Raschella, 84, of Route 45, Austinburg, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born March 9, 1918, in Ellwood City, Pa., the daughter of Dominic and Mary Raschella.
Mrs. Raschella was a self-employed beautician in several states, including California and Ohio.
Survivors include her two nieces, Betty Scott of Jefferson, and Ann Montanari of Baltimore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mack and John Raschella; and a sister, Jean Curcio.
A service will be observed at the convenience of the family. The Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, is in charge of arrangements.
Einar G. Ahlman
AUSTINBURG - Einar G. Ahlman, 84, of Route 307, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Ahlman was born July 6, 1918, in Cleveland, the son of Ernest and Lavida (Larson) Ahlman and was an area resident for many years.
He attended Louisiana State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving four years in England during World War II with the 93rd Bomb Group of the 8th Army Air Corps.
Mr. Ahlman was employed for 32 years by the Ashtabula Rubber Co., retiring in 1983. He was a longtime member of the First United Church of Christ in Austinburg.
He enjoyed reading, music and working on his farm. He especially enjoyed being with his family and was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.
Survivors include his two sons, Richard E. Ahlman of Austinburg and Leland M. Ahlman of Plano, Texas; a brother, Eldon G. Ahlman of Austinburg; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Robert Ahlman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Erickson) Ahlman, in 1990; and his parents.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at the family grave site in Austin Cemetery, Austinburg Township, with the Rev. Gretchen Wagner, of First United Church of Christ in Austinburg, officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ in Austinburg.

Edna V. Canfield
AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP - Edna V. Canfield, 73, formerly of Creek Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born April 18, 1928, in Monroe Township, the daughter of Wilbert and Laverne (Reeves) Shreve. She had lived in the area all her life.
Mrs. Canfield had been employed for several years by the Goodwill Industries in Conneaut.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God and enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting.
Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Dalrymple of Monroe Township and Josephine Dyzert of Linesville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; a sister, Marguerite Miller; and three brothers, Albert, Forrest and Victor Shreve.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Kelloggsville Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Woods, Pastor of the Conneaut First Assembly of God, will officiate, assisted by The Rev. Donald Matthews.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.
Jean A. Banning
AUSTINBURG - Jean A. Banning, 59, of Forman Road, Austinburg, died Monday Feb. 4, 2002, at her home after a long illness.
She was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Meadville, Pa., the daughter of Howard and Clara (Thompson) Hudson.
She had been an area resident most of her life.
Mrs. Banning was a graduate of Pierpont High School and Kent State University, with a degree in Education.
She was a teacher in the Ashtabula Area City Schools at Chestnut Elementary, as a teacher until her illness.
Mrs. Banning was a member of the TOPS Club and the Ashtabula Garden Club.
She enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, animals, collecting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her mother, Clara Olin of Pierpont; her husband, Merle Banning, Jr.; a son, Scott Banning of North Royalton; a daughter, Kelly Lynn Scoville of Geneva; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Abbey Jean and Seth; two brothers, Paul Hudson of Pierpont and Duane Hudson of Saybrook Township; and a sister, Vera Andrews of Bethel Park, Pa.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Virgil Reeve of the First Baptist Church of Ashtabula officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County or Dialysis Center at the Jefferson Geriatric Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Abbie Miller
AUSTINBURG - Abbie Miller, 96, a former resident of Rock Creek, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at the Royal Meadows in Austinburg.
Born Monday, September 15, 1906, in Williamsfield, Ohio, the daughter of Dudley R. and Rose Roberts Morse.
Abbie was a retired school teacher and a member of the Rock Creek Methodist Church.
She married William G. Miller in 1929.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Ronald and Nancy Miller of Madison, Keith and Dianne Miller of Euclid, Rose and John Novak of Hamilton, N.Y., and Dorothy and Jim Faber of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, in 1989.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at the Paine-Simpson Funeral Home, 3119 W. Water Street in Rock Creek. A memorial service in the Rock Creek Methodist Church will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18. Interment will be in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.

Anna R. Hackathorn
AUSTINBURG - Anna R. Hackathorn, 73, formerly of Gore Road, Saybrook Township, died Saturday, August 10, 2002, at the Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Hackathorn was born January 9, 1929, in Richwood, Ohio, the daughter of Fred Elliott and Maude Van Lowen, and had been a resident of Ashtabula County for most of her life.
Mrs. Hackathorn was a homemaker and was a great collector of things, especially puzzles.
Survivors include her two children, Susan Land and Steve B. Hackathorn, both of Ashtabula; a sister, Lois Gormley, of Ashtabula; nine grandchildren, Amanda and Meghan Land, Jason, Michelle, Joseph and Steve Hackathorn, and Deborah Harding, Shannon Gillean and Cheryle Mosteller; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy L., in 1992; a son, Harold, in 2001; and a brother, Norman Elliott.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, at Childs and Williams Funeral Home, 1440 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Burial will be in Saybrook Cemetery, Saybrook Township.
