Teresa A. “Terri” Dean, age 58, Lake Rd. West, Saybrook Twp., died early Tuesday morning, August 14, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family following a short courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 1, 1954 in Ashtabula and has been an area resident most of her life. Terri was a 1972 graduate of Edgewood High School.
Terri thanked God for all of the friends and blessings she was privileged to enjoy. She loved horses, the New York Yankees, traveling and crafts. Terri worked a variety of places, as a pre-school teacher, real estate with Tim Taylor and waitressing, including Quinn’s and Lou’s Billow Beach, loving them all.
Survivors include her father Tom (Willa) Dean of Geneva, two sisters, Jan (Tony) Myers of Ashtabula & Julie Kehoe of Newport Richey, FL, a surrogate sister, Emily Harley of Kingsville, step-sister, Rhi (George Nagle) Rock of North Kingsville, step-brother, Ron (Renee) Gruening of North Kingsville, an aunt, Patty Bowdler Simonson of Cleveland Hts., nieces, Jana Nagle & Julie (John) Carlo, nephews, Ben (Jennifer) Cerny, Tom (Jodi) Toddy, Tim Toddy, Steve Rock & Dan (Alicia) Gruening and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly (Bowdler) Dean, a sister and brother both in infancy, Debra & Jeffrey Dean, grandparents, Harold & Irene Dean and Leroy & Catherine Bowdler and an uncle, Terry Bowdler.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 11:00 A. M. at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45, Rock Creek, OH 44084 with the Pastor Bill McMinn officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 A. M. prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Rachel M. Anthony
January 12, 1916 - August 27, 2013
Rachel M. Anthony, 97 of Saybrook Township died Monday (August 27th) in the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1916 in Madison, Ohio the daughter of Dan B. and Mary Ellen (Gifford) McMackin.
She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashtabula and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tatting, reading and genealogy.
Surviving her are her son, John (Sandy) Anthony of Gilbert, Arizona; a daughter, Allison (William) Cole of Ashtabula; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee Anthony and a brother, Jay McMackin.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Madison at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.

Louis D. Bush
October 13, 1930 - August 13, 2012

Louis D. “Red” Bush, age 81, Sherman St., Geneva, died unexpectedly Monday morning at his residence.
He was born October 13, 1930 in Ashtabula, the son of Howard & Florence (Colby) Bush and has been an area resident all of his life. He was a graduate of Kingsville High School. Mr. Bush was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving two enlistments, 1951-1960 during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the U. S. Postal Service for 37 years, retiring in 1991 as a mail carrier with Geneva.
Mr. Bush was a member of the American Legion Post #124 and the Postal Union. He was an avid bowler, winning the County Bowling Tournament in 1963; he has also recorded a 300 game and was active with the Geneva Recreation Dept.
Survivors include two step-brothers, Norman (Roberta) Hopkins of Geneva & Howard (Kathy) Kennedy, Jr. of Ashtabula and a step-sister, Bonnie McKelby of Ashtabula and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, Howard & Florence, his step-father, Ernest Morgan and sister, Delores Lett, all preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4:00 P. M. at the Geneva Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock of the Geneva United Methodist Church officiating. Geneva Post #6846 of the V. F. W. will provide military honors immediately following the service. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-4 P. M. at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will be Monday, August 20, 2012 at 11:00 A. M. at Evergreen Cemetery. Ralph E. Kemmerer

Ralph E. Kemmerer, age 71, W. Satin St., Jefferson, died Tuesday afternoon at University Hospitals in Cleveland where he had been a patient the past three weeks.
He was born March 21, 1941 in Cyclone, IN, the son of Michael & Mary (Rice) Kemmerer and has lived in the Jefferson area since 1971, coming from Indiana. Mr. Kemmerer was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving eight years during the Vietnam Era. He was married to Alberta F. Taggart on September 3, 1966 at the Dorset Baptist Church. He was a retired employee from Rock Creek Aluminum.
Mr. Kemmerer was a former member of the American Legion and the Eagles Club, he liked going to auctions, golfing, fishing, watching old movies and having his morning coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta, two children, Albert E. Kemmerer & Rachel M. Kemmerer, both of Jefferson, a grandson, Aerick McCollough of Jefferson and a sister, Alta Jane Torrez of Frankfurt, IN.
His parents and three brothers, Clarence, William & Frank Kemmerer all preceded him in death.
At Mr. Kemmerer’s request no services or calling hours will be held. The Jefferson Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson is handling arrangements.
Francis A Brewer Sr

Francis A. Brewer, Sr. 79 of North Bend Road, Saybrook Township died Sunday (May 13th) at his home. He was born August 4, 1932 in Geneva, Ohio the son of Francis “Tom” and Pauline Brewer.
He was a veteran of the United State Army and then was transferred to the United States Air Force when it was formed.
He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Crafts workers. He was the owner of the first Hydro-Glide Harley - Davidson motorcycles in Ashtabula County. He built and flew for different planes when he lived on Myers Rd. He was a member of the United States Parachute Association and made over 100 jumps’ he enjoyed sailing and raising farm animals.
Surviving him are his wife, Jeanette (Camp) Brewer whom he married November 8, 1958; two sons, Andrew (Patricia M. Lewis) Brewer of Rock Creek, Francis A. Brewer, Jr. of Geneva; a daughter, Gail Brewer of Modesto, California; four grandchildren, Jessica, Steven, Francis III, and Sarah ; a great-grandchild, Hailey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Nate and Harold Brewer and a sister, Artha Rose.
Funeral service will be Thursday (May 17th) at 1:00 PM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with Hans Miggo, Chaplain of the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post #103 officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville with the American Legion Post #103 conducting Military Rites.
Calling hour will be Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Thelma J. Reeve
March 24, 1928 - September 29, 2011

Thelma J. Reeve, age 83, died early Thursday morning at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.
She was born March 24, 1928 in Montville, the daughter of Burlyn J. & Veronica H. (Bogden) Trask and has been a resident of this area all of her life. Mrs. Reeve was a retired hairdresser. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she loved to dance.
Survivors include three children, Jacqueline A. (Richard) Fox of Painesville, Cathy M. (Ed) Williams of Jefferson and Alan J. (Jennifer) Reeve of Marion and seven grandchildren, Candice (Steve) Ellsworth, Christopher Williams, Shaun (Amber) Williams, Katie Williams, Alex Reeve, Madison (Isaac) Kateregga & Maggie Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James A. Reeve in 1998 and a brother, Edwin C. Trask.
The funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 12:00 P. M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3409 N. Main St., Rock Creek, with the Rev. Fr. David Weikart officiating. Burial will be in Eagleville Cemetery.
