Correna E. Spieth
MENTOR - Correna E. Spieth, 87, of Johnnycake Ridge Road, died Thursday Dec. 5, 2002 at Aftercare of Mentor. She was born March 18, 1915, the daughter of Lottie Mae (Burr) and John W. Kyle II.
A former long time Andover resident, Mrs. Spieth has lived in Mentor for the past several years. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Richmond Township. She was a former longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover, a member and past matron of the former Order of Eastern Star Relief Chapter #546, Pierpont, a member of the Farm Bureau for many years and a member of numerous Andover clubs. Mrs. Spieth enjoyed crafts, music, reading, gardening and canning.
Mrs. Spieth married Albert E. Spieth Aug. 30, 1934, whom preceded her in death May 16, 1980.
Survivors include three sons; Robert E. Spieth of Concord, Harry K. Spieth of Cherry Valley Township and Ronald A. Spieth of Henderson, Nev.; two daughters, Sandra J. Brown of Reynoldsburg and Ruth A. Barnes of Medina; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandsons; David L. Spieth and Larry A. Spieth, one brother; John W. Kyle III and four sisters; Sally Walters, Pearl Yakubec, Gladys Hillier, and Marge Hoagland.
Service is noon Saturday, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, with the Rev. Jeffrey Stoll officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery in Ashtabula at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. Saturday, until the service starts.

Robert F. Rinehart
MENTOR - Robert F. Rinehart, 56, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Euclid Meridia Hospital.
Mr. Rinehart was born Sept. 29, 1945, in Geneva.
He enjoyed working on his No. 91 Figure Eight racecar and racing at Painesville Speedway.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol, Diane and Joyce; 11 grandchildren; and former wife, Dorothy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ururada Rinehart.
Service is 1 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James J. Robinson
MENTOR - James Jay Robinson, 69, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at his home.
He was born March 13, 1932, to Wilbur P. and Marjorie M. (Cooper) Robinson, in Ashtabula. He lived in Mentor 37 years and Ashtabula for five years. He moved back to Mentor in July 2001.
Mr. Robinson was most recently employed by the Western and Southern Life Insurance Co. for 11 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Charles T. Raymer-Covenant Lodge 683 F. & A.M., the Order of the Eastern Star Willoughby Chapter 202. He was past worthy patron in 1990 and taught swimming at the Lake County YMCA Central Branch in Painesville.
Mr. Robinson was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Kirtland Hills and a former member of St. Peter Episcopal Church in Ashtabula.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Sue Anne (MacKenzie) Robinson; sons Michael D. Robinson of Cleveland, Mark D. Robinson and Steven L. Robinson, both of Mentor, and Scott J. Robinson of Ashtabula; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral is 6 p.m. Wednesday at Davis Trust 100 Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, officiated by the Rev. Harper McAdoo Turney, rector of St. Andrew Episcopal Church. Eastern Star services will be 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home, performed by Willoughby Chapter 202. Calling hours are 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Private internment will be in the columbarium at St. Andrew Episcopal Church.

Geneva Frances (Dowell) Walker
MENTOR - Geneva Frances (Dowell) Walker, 79, of Mentor, beloved wife of Norman B. Walker, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2003.
Born on December 19, 1923, in Kentucky, Geneva worked in Washington, D.C., where she met her husband, Norman. They were married on January 12, 1946.
They relocated to Mentor, OH, where together they raised their four cherished daughters, Norma Schenk, Judy (Charles) Eddy, Lynn (Rick) Johnson, and Beverly Platt (Gene Hadlock). She also left behind her sister, June Goff of Baltimore, MD; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Geneva was a member of the Amvets Women's Auxiliary Post #109; she loved gardening, reading, writing poetry, and watching baseball.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Brother.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at 12 p.m. at the McMAHON/COYNE/ VITANTONIO FUNERAL HOME located at 6330 Center Street (Rt. 615), Mentor, OH 44060. Immediately following the services, family and friends may gather at the VFW Post #9295, located at 8682 Mentor Avenue (Rt. 20), Mentor, OH 44060, for a small congregation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve-Mentor Branch (440 951–8692).
Selma E. Megley
MENTOR - Selma E. Megley, 91, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at Chardon Quality Care Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1911 in Crystal Falls, Mich.
Mrs. Megley was a resident of Mentor for more than 50 years and was a member of Leroy Community Chapel.
Survivors include her daughter, Arlene Miner of Chardon; a son, Robert Santti of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Chapman of Crystal Falls, Mich.; and a brother, Walter Toivo Rosenlot of Crystal Falls, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lambert Santti in 1945 and her second husband, John H. Megley in 1994.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, with the Rev. Jeffrey Allem from the Leroy Community Chapel officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville.
Lynn M. Verdi
MENTOR - Lynn M. Verdi, 73, of Mentor, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at his home.
She was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Ashtabula, and moved to Mentor six months ago from Eastlake.
She retired as manager of Uncle Bills in Mentor in 1984.
She was member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Willoughby; attended Willo-Hill Baptist Church in Willoughby; volunteered at the Eastlake Public Library, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School and the Lake West Hospital; was mother of the Bread Man at Great Harvest Bread and former Booster Club member at Eastlake North High School.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Mario "Phil" Verdi; six sons, Mark Verdi of Kirtland, the Rev. Frank Verdi of Marietta, Ga., Robert Verdi of Madison, Randy Verdi of Mentor, Phillip Verdi of Geneva, and Rusty Leech; a daughter, Melodie Lippold of New Jersey; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Johnson of Jefferson, and Donna Weiss of Perry.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Lippold; sisters Cora Jean Mosier and Barbara Herle; and a brother, Ben Mosier.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Willo-Hill Baptist Church, 4200 Route 306, Willoughby. Burial will be at Saybrook Cemetery in Saybrook.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
