Virginia Deurlein
MADISON - Virginia Deurlein, 83, of Madison, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at her daughter's home in Montville.
He was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Wilkensburg, Pa., the daughter of Fred and Reba (Yingling) Carruth, and had lived in the area more than 40 years.å
She was a graduate of Grove City, Pa., High School, and attended Grove City College. She worked as a secretary to the dean of students at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland for more than 25 years.
Her lineage can be traced back to the American Revolution through her Gardner, Yingling and Whitehill ancestors. Known to friends and family as "Ginny, " she enjoyed golf, playing bridge and Cleveland Indians baseball.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Coyle of Montville, and Janis Frick of Ashtabula; a son, Gary Deurlein of Perry; a sister, Marian Loytty of Venice, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael, Stephen and Stacy Deurlein; and three step-grandchildren Jill Williams, and Gerry and Donald Frick Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard C. Deurlein, whom she married Jan. 22, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Nancy E. Deurlein; a son, Thomas A. Deurlein; and a sister, Dorothy Mitchell.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Road, Madison. The Rev. Vernon Shepherd, of the Chapel United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison.

Ila Cole
MADISON Ila "Polly" Cole, 48, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
She was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Painesville, the daughter of Ruth (Kidder) and Albert Doing Sr.
Mrs. Cole married Richard Cole June 8, 1991, in Madison.
She worked at PCC Airfoils in Willowick.
Mrs. Cole was a member of ABATE CMRO Region 13 motorcycle group and enjoyed horseback riding and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Cole; two daughters; Linda Nicholson and Christine Moore, both of Painesville; two sons, Dale Doing of Ashtabula, and Richard L. Cole Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Judy of Painesville, Rosie, Mary Lou, Leona and Debbie, all of Ashtabula County; and five brothers, Albert, Wayne, Joe, Tom and Steve, all of Ashtabula County.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Sunday at the Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison.

Donna Roth
MADISON - Donna Eileen Roth, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at Madison Health Care Center, Madison Township.
She was born June 1, 1918, in Fostoria, the daughter of Joseph and Stella (Boday) Kroetz.
She had been a resident of Madison for the past 63 years.
She married John Roth on June 1, 1937, in Madison.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Roth was a member of the Progress Club and the Order of Eastern Star. She worked for many years in the kitchen at Homer Nash Kimball Elementary School and was a founding member of the Madison Historical Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Sidley of Painesville; two sons, Jack and Robert of Madison; seven grandchildren, Kim Babic, Scott, Jeffrey and Thomas Roth, Elizabeth Safick, Kathleen Parks and Christine Crouch; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Mehling of Euclid and a brother, Harold Kroetz of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 1980; a sister, Lois Jersey and a brother, Howard Kroetz.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with the Rev. Jeff Allen of Leroy Community Chapel officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Madison.
Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Colleen P. Sullivan
MADISON - Colleen P. Sullivan, 47, of Madison, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1954, in Cleveland, the daughter of Joseph Sr., and Patricia ( McGraw) Flynn.
Mrs. Sullivan was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and spending time with her children.
Survivors include her parents; three sons, Christopher Sullivan of Mentor, Cory Sullivan and Sean Sullivan, both of Mentor; a daughter, Carrie Pratt of Mentor; two granddaughters, Kira and Breanna; a sister, Sharon Radley of Madison and brother, Joseph Flynn Jr., of Perry.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with the Rev. Robert Osborne of Painesville Baptist Church, Painesville officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Madison.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pauline J. Clawson
MADISON - Pauline J. Clawson, 93, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Inn-Madison Health Center.
She was born April 9, 1909, in LaFollette, Tenn., to Henry and Cordelia (Longmire) Tiller. She married Fred Clawson March 27, 1931 in Clinton, Tenn. She lived in Madison since 1960, previously living in Knoxville, Tenn.
Mrs. Clawson was a homemaker. She taught elementary school and was a guardette at the Oakridge Tennessee Atomic Energy Plant. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, and she enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Survivors include daughter Betsy Bowers of Madison, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982, daughter Mary Clawson, son Jack Clawson, and brothers Robert, Luther and Arnold Tiller.
Funeral is noon Friday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, officiated by the Rev. Robert Ladygo of Bible Baptist Church, Madison. Burial is in Madison Memorial Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Grace M. Getch
MADISON - Grace M. Getch, 98, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 at Lake East Hospital. She was born April 19, 1904 in Sytesville, Pa., the daughter of John and Julia Martinik.
Mrs. Getch was a Madison resident since 1997, and previously lived in Euclid.
She had worked as a cosmetic buyer for May Co. and Halles in Cleveland.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Virginia Getch of Perry and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Getch in 1977, six sisters and her parents.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville, with the Rev. Louis Medgyesi of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor, officiating.
Calling hours are 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
