Kenneth Patrick Rejonis, 18, Deersville, Ohio died Monday, February 22, 2005 near Jewett, Ohio the result of an automobile accident. He was born March 17, 1986 in Wheeling West Virginia a son of Frank Rejonis of Deersville, Ohio and Minnie Rockaway Rejonis of Marietta, Ohio.
He was a junior at the Harrison Career Center in Cadiz where he specialized in diesel mechanics; he loved the outdoors, especially hunting and archery; he was a two time National Archery Champion; and was a Methodist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Paige Rockaway.
He is survived by his father: Frank Rejonis of Deersville and companion Anita Wolf of Dennison, and his mother Minnie Rejonis and her companion Edgar Dodds of Marietta; a brother, Derek (Boo) Rejonis of Deersville; paternal grandparents, Emily and Frank Rejonis of Shadyside; maternal grandmother, Fay Cross of Moundsville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours are Friday, February 25, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Scott United Methodist Church, 817 East Market Street, Cadiz, with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery, Deersville, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kenneth Rejonis Memorial Fund, c/o of National City Bank, 235 South Main Street, Cadiz, Ohio.

Jacqueline Atkins Akers
October 24, 1962 - February 20, 2005
Jacqueline Akers Atkins, 42, Hopedale, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born October 24, 1962 in Steubenville, a daughter of Jack and Pat Ward Atkins of Hopedale, Ohio.
She was a former employee of Custer Pharmacy in Cadiz and was a aid at Harrison Hills City Schools.
She is survived in addition to her parents; by her husband, Warren L. Akers; a daughter, Leah Akers of the home; a son John (J.R.) Phillipson of Cadiz; 3 sisters: Tammy Mattern and her husband Nip of Cadiz, and Tina Hill and her husband Harold and Lisa Schultz and her husband Scott both of Hopedale; father-in-law, Roger Akers of Adena; and mother-in-law, Deanna Akers of North Royalton, Ohio; and 8 nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday, February 22, 6-9 and Wednesday, February 23, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. J. Hugh Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio.

Madeline Watson Lewis
August 05, 1909 - February 08, 2005
Madeline Watson Lewis, 95, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Cadiz, OH, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Worthington Christian Village. She was born August 5, 1909 in Belmont Co., OH, a daughter of the late Jerome and Anna Yoho Watson.
She was a retired teacher, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz. She was also the Past Matron of the Flushing Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Lewis in 1986; a grandson, Paul Lewis; four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Kendall Lewis and his wife JoAnn of Vermillion and E. William Lewis and his wife Kristine of Columbus; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Watson of Akron.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 12 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkalnd Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio with Rev. William Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison Community Hospital Foundation, 951 E. Market St., Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
Arrangements are by Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohah

James Lee Barker
August 22, 1937 - February 07, 2005
James Lee Barker, loved son and loving father, 67, Carrollton formerly of Cadiz, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at Trinity West, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born August 22, 1937 in Cadiz, Ohio a son of the late James Albert and Eliza Ellen Kennedy Barker.
He was a Melchezdik Priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Wintersville, a union construction worker for nearly 40 years in the Eastern Ohio area, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by a son, Kevin Barker of Scio; a daughter, Faith Norris of Scio; a brother, John Barker of Barnesville; 2 sisters: Maxine Mills of Cadiz and Louise Norris of Scio; 3 grandsons; and his companion Bea VanCamp of Jewett, Ohio.
Calling hours are Friday, February 11, 11-1 and 2-4 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Cadiz Union Cemetery with David Bailey officiating.

Ethel Mae Bunton
February 02, 1938 - February 07, 2005
Ethel Mae Bunton, 67, Cadiz, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at her home. She was born February 2, 1938 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late John Henry and Loretta Albright Milliken.
She was a former employee of Consol.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by a sister Shirley J. Quail.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Bunton; 2 daughters: Cindy Watson and Liz Lubeck both of O'Neil, Nebraska; 2 brothers: Roy Wayne Milliken of Cambridge and Jeffery Milliken of Weirton, West Virginia.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz in charge of arrangements.

Larry R. Jones
October 25, 1938 - January 23, 2005
Larry R. Jones, 66, Cadiz, died Sunday at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born October 25, 1938 in Cadiz, a son of the late Richard and Edith Bell Jones.
He was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church, Cadiz where he served as a trustee; and was a retired railroad emplyee.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by a son, Mitchell Lee Jones; and a brother, James.
He is survived by a son Jay Roger Jones of Steubenville; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 5 brothers: Dickie Jones of Pittsburgh, Gordon, Fritz, Jerry, and Michael Jones all of Cadiz; 7 sisters: Ellen Olmstead and Donna Brooks both of Cadiz, Elaine Wilson and Joanne Hython both of Steubenville, Sharon Cooper of McIntyre, Toni Wheeler of Atlanta, Georgia and Roberta West of Pittsburgh, PA.
Calling hours are Tuesday, January 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. James AME Church, Cadiz with Rev. D'Wain Wales officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Mary A. Hall
July 07, 1901 - January 23, 2005
Mary Hall, 103, of Cadiz, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the Harrison County Home, Cadiz. She was born July 7, 1901 in Moorefield Twp., Harrison Co., Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry and Alice Christy Wilson.
She was the oldest living member of the Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz, where she was a member of the Mary Ruth Circle. She was a former co-owner of the Cadiz Drive Inn Theater and was a volunteer at the Harrison County Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester B. Hall in 1986; a twin sister, Carrie Henderson; and two brothers, Talmadge and Eldridge Wilson.
Surviving are a daughter Bettie Sedgmer and her husband, Robert of Cadiz; a granddaughter Beckie Lewis and her husband, Alan of Copley, Ohio; and two great granchildren, Trevor and Shelby Lewis.
A private family service will be held at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison County Home or Scott United Methodist Church.

Samuel E. Taylor
July 08, 1930 - January 22, 2005
Samuel E. Taylor, 74, Cadiz, died Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 8, 1930 in Cadiz, Ohio a son of the late Samuel and Daisy Davis Taylor.
Sam was a deputy auditor for Harrison County; a member of the Fairway Golf Club; a former member of Cadiz Village Council; and was a member of the Cadiz Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his first wife Lois Bush Taylor in 1985.
He is survived by his second wife Sandra Blanchard Taylor; stepchildren: David Williams and Rachael Williams; Lynn Weaver of Indianapolis, IN; Shawn Stewart of St. Petersburg, Florida; Yvonne Hocker, Dawn Stewart, Heather Dokes all of Martins Ferry, Ohio; several cousins including Clyde Williams, Jr. Betty West, Charles Williams and Margaret Chrisitian; a number of stepgrandchildren.
Calling hours are Wednesday, January 26, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rudy Puskarich officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Judith Steible Kowalski
April 09, 1944 - January 20, 2005
Judith Steible Kowalski, 60, of Cadiz, died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born April 9, 1944 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Leo Dexter Steible and the late Margaret Judkins Steible Wiggins.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, where she sang in the Choir for many years, and was a member of the Board of Stewardesses. She was a Child Care Provider in the Cadiz area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, James Wiggins.
Surviving are three sons, Gerald (Wendy) Kowalski of Dade City, FL, William (Lisa) Kowalski of Springfield, IL and Edwin Kowalski of Springfield, OH; a daughter, Patricia Kowalski of Carpentersville, IL; six grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Dexter Steible of Reynoldsburg, OH and Alan Steible of Dayton, OH; and a sister, Barbara Conter of Reynoldsburg, OH.
Friends may call Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Monday, January 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. William Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
