Robert Wagner
MADISON - Robert Sheldon Wagner Sr., 75, of Madison, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Inn-Madison Health Center, Madison.
He was born May 6, 1926, in Cleveland, the son of Edward W. and Gladys (Sheldon) Wagner.
Mr. Wagner had been a resident of Madison since 1957.
He married Mary Lou (Smith) on July 20, 1948, in Akron.
Mr. Wagner was a retired Priest at Christ Episcopal Church in Geneva and St. Anne's in the Fields in Madison.
He was also a civil engineer at Meece Excavating in Cleveland.
Mr. Wagner was a 1950 graduate from the University of Akron, with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked at Goodyear. He graduated in 1957 from the Episcopal Seminary at Bexley Hall with a degree in theology.
Mr. Wagner's first parish was jointly Christ Episcopal Church and St. Ann's in the Fields.
He spent seven years in South Dakota on The Rosebud Native American Reservation. Mr. Wagner returned to the Cleveland area and resumed work serving churches in northern Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and participated in the battle of Okinawa.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; two daughters, Patricia Chambers of Smithville and Carol Bloom of Alexandria, Va.; son, Robert S. Wagner Jr. of Westlake; and four grandchildren, Laura and Katie Chambers, and Stephen and Chris Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathryn Brewster.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, 66 South Eagle St., Geneva, with the Bishop Arthur Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, Memorial Foundation, 66 South Eagle St., Geneva.
The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison is in charge of the arrangements.

Joan Beach
MADISON - Joan M. Beach, 59, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at her family home in Mercer, Pa.
She was born Feb.19, 1943, in Mercer, Pa., the daughter of David and Ruth Mabelle (Van Woert) Urey.
A long-time Madison resident, Mrs. Beach was a kindergarten teacher for more than 35 years at Homer Nash Kimball Elementary School, Madison.
Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Philson of Mercer and Mary Lu Weiland of Charleroi, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John, and a brother, David Urey Jr.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison, with the Rev. Luigi Miola of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Cunningham Funeral Home, 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer, Pa., and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Behm Family Funeral Home.

Christopher S. Kovacs
MADISON - Christopher S. Kovacs, 44, of Madison, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at his home.
He was born June 7, 1958, in East Cleveland, the son of Vera L. (King) and Richard M. Kovacs Sr. He had lived in the Thompson and Madison areas for more than 15 years.
Mr. Kovacs was an electrician at Cleveland MetroHealth Center for 24 years.
He married Donna McClung on May 1, 1982, in Chesterland.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and restoring cars.
Survivors include his father, of Russell; his wife; two sons, Christopher S. Kovacs Jr., and Vanden Kovacs, both at home; a sister, Vera Schwarten of Willoughby; and three brothers, Creighton Kovacs of Russell, Bryan Kovacs of Atlanta, Ga. and Richard Kovacs Jr., of Chardon.
Mr. Kovacs was preceded in death by his mother and a nephew, Christopher.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison. The Rev. Luigi Miola, church pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be at North Madison Cemetery in Madison.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, 44119.

Caroline Raquet
MADISON - Caroline Raquet, 94, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Geneva.
She was born Aug. 10, 1907, in Cleveland. She lived in Cleveland until moving to Madison more than 50 years ago.
Mrs. Raquet had been an executive secretary for Harshaw Chemical Co. in Cleveland and also for Robert Dempsey Sr. at the Dempsey Insurance Company in Madison.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. She enjoyed church, animals, crossword puzzles and knitting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1985; and sisters Viola Reardon and Ilene Bixler.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, officiated by the Rev. Luigi Miola of Immaculate Conception Church. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison. Burial is in Saybrook Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Assumption School Endowment Fund or Immaculate Conception Church.

Jesse R. Coon
MADISON - Jesse R. Coon, 65, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 26, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Robert and Grace (Rusnik) Coon and had been an Ohio resident for 50 years.
Mr. Coon was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of the Eagles Club and the Hungarian Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Majernik of Madison, Wendy Leonard of Dallas, Texas and Tammy Coon, Clearmont, Fla.; seven grandchildren, T.J. and Kenny Majernik, Justeena, Tiffney and Kaytie Leonard, Austin Coon and Jessica Divelbiss.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy Bertram and Mary Ann Swims.
Memorial reception is 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2278, 1820 North Ridge Road, Painesville.
No calling hours will be observed.
The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, has charge of the arrangements.

Sarah Rose LaBoe
MADISON - Sarah Rose LaBoe, the daughter of Aaron James and Jennifer Ann (Bagshaw) LaBoe, died shortly after birth Wednesday Jan. 30, 2002, at LakeEast Hospital, Painesville.
Survivors include her parents; a sister, Riley Nicole; a brother, Trevor James; maternal grandparents William and Nancy Bagshaw of Madison; paternal grandparents Jack and Teresa LaBoe of Concord Township; paternal great-grandmother Sarah Marzano of Painesville; paternal great-grandfather Jack LaBoe Sr. of Painesville; two maternal great-grandmothers, Rose Bagshaw and Ruth Roberts of Madison.
Service was held at St. Mary Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville, with the Rev. Patrick Henry officiating. Burial was in Madison Memorial Cemetery, Madison Township.
Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, had charge of the arrangements.

Mary K. Pacelli
MADISON - Mary Kapudja Pacelli, 97, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
She was born Sept. 20, 1905, in Cleveland, to Matt and Mary (Poppit) Intihar.
Mrs. Pacelli owned and operated several taverns and restaurants in Cleveland and Jefferson. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Svetek and Betty Ferra, both of Madison; a sister, Emily Mestnick of Bedford Heights; a brother, Vic Intihar of Bedford Heights; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gus Kapudja, in 1977, and her second husband, Frank Pacelli, in 1986; her parents; a grandson, Robert Svetek; three brothers; and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, and the Rev. Luigi Miola will officiate. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
The Potti Funeral Home, Madison, is handling the arrangements.
