Doris L. McIntosh
MADISON - Doris L. McIntosh, 93, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at her granddaughter's home in Jefferson.
Born February 20, 1908, in Washington Court House, she was a daughter of Rose (Eihlers) and Frank Madora. She had lived in Madison since 1948, having moved there from Euclid.
She was an officer of Madison Electric Products and the owner of Quaint Corners Gifts and Antiques Shop in Madison for over 35 years.
She was a member of Central Congregational UCC, where she was a former trustee and deacon. She was instrumental in developing the church's Yuletide Fair. She also was a member of the Plymouth Seminar, the Madison Garden Club and enjoyed collecting antiques and doing counted cross stitch. She was an exhibitor for many years at the Yankee Peddlar Craft Show.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet McIntosh of Grosse Point Woods, Mich.; one son, Stuart McIntosh of Madison; two grandchildren, Troy McIntosh of Mentor and Robyn Dodril of Jefferson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1970; her parents; and one sister, Marie Hutchinson.
Service will be 11 a.m. today at the Central Congregational UCC, 71 River St., Madison.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.

Timothy R. Gibson
MADISON - Timothy Ray Gibson, 53, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at his home.
Born Nov. 2, 1948, in Conneautville, Pa., he was the son of Harvey Raymond and Dorothy (Slobodjnak) Gibson.
A Madison area resident for past six years, Mr. Gibson had been a driver for Hostess/ Wonder Bread since 1971.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6846, Geneva; American Legion, Conneautville; and the Moose Club of Ashtabula.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Delores; a daughter, Kimberly Reagle of Belaire, Md.; a son, Michael of Belaire, Md.; a stepson, Garett Pecjak of Arizona; a sister, Debbie Sisle of Sagertown, Pa.; four grandchildren, Brandon, Josh, Morgan and Hannah; and former wife, Sally Loucks Gibson of Conneautville, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, Pa. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Conneautville, Pa.

Roger B. Kennedy
MADISON - The Rev. Roger B. Kennedy, 79, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Lake East Hospital in Painesville.
He was born April 28, 1923, in Syracuse, N.Y., the son of Alta May (Canfield) and Sherman Lloyd Kennedy. After spending 18 years in Jewett, he moved to Madison four months ago.
He entered Syracuse University in 1941, but his education was interrupted by military service. He served in the Second Armored Division in Germany, and worked in the division post office in occupied Germany.
He attended Cambridge University in England for one semester. He was discharged from the military in 1946, and returned to Syracuse University, graduating in 1951.
He attended Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, Texas, between 1951 and 1954.
An ordained Methodist minister since 1955, his first appointments included service in a handful of New York communities. In 1964, he transferred to the Northeast Ohio Methodist Conference, where he served at Green Springs, Pleasant Ridge, Wellsville, Brilliant, Rush Run and Nova. After a sabbatical leave between 1974 and 1976, he served at Pavonia, Olivesburg and Melmore before retiring from the church in Jewett.
He married the former Gloria Schanzle June 5, 1955, in Marcellus, N.Y.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce Kennedy of Ashley, Stephen Kennedy of Angier, N.C. and David Kennedy of Robbins, N.C.; two daughters, Dawn Spangenberg of Madison and Sharon Kendall of Ashland; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Laurel Chapman of North Syracuse, N.Y. and Martha DeSeyn of Warners, N.Y.; and brothers Sherman Kennedy of Kansas City, Kan., and Hugh Kennedy, Cheyenne, Wyo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2000; a brother, Neil Kennedy; and a sister, Amoret.
Service is 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. The Rev. William G. Alvey, of Park United Methodist Church, Madison, will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Jewett.
Calling hours are 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A service will also take place 11 a.m. Monday at Jewett United Methodist Church in Jewett
Carol Wilgus
MADISON - Carol "Joyce" Wilgus, 71, died Monday, March 31, 2003, at her home.
She was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the Rev. John and Hazel (Smeltz) Taylor. She was a Madison resident since 1977, moving from Lima.
She married Al Wilgus Aug. 18, 1951, in Angola, Mich.
Mrs. Wilgus was a teacher for the Head Start Program.
She loved the Lord and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Perry. She was involved in Bible study, Joy Circle, T.O.P.S. and the Madison Garden Club.
Mrs. Wilgus loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crafts, quilts and interior decorating.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Ann Wilgus, of Ashtabula; three sons, Albert W. Wilgus Jr. of Rochester Hills, Mich., the Rev. Richard A. Wilgus of Madison, and John C. Wilgus of Madison; and five grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda and Jonathan Wilgus of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Jessica and Julia Wilgus of Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry. The Rev. Michael Cole of the church will officiate. Burial will be in North Madison Cemetery.
Calling hour is 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Maudie L. Chaffee
MADISON - Maudie L. Chaffee, 83, lifelong resident of the Lake County area, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Lake East Hospital, Painesville.
A 1936 graduate of Mentor High School and a graduate of the Cleveland School of Cosmetology, she was born Oct. 5, 1917, in Hillsboro. She married Norman C. Chaffee Sr. of Sept. 16, 1938, in Painesville.
She operated a beauty shop from her home in Mentor.
Mrs. Chaffee was a long-time employee of J.C. Penney Co. Inc., from where she retired. She was an administrator for Mary Ann Rutherford's Lake Erie Academy of Cosmetology.
She was an active advisor with 4-H Clubs.
Survivors include three sons, Norman of Madison, Dale of Byesville, and Roy of Madison; a daughter, Darla Brant of Perry; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in October 2000; a sister, Bessie Stackhouse; and two brothers, Leslie and Frank Johnson.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison. The Rev. Robert Gaston, Chaplain of the Lake Hospital Systems, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Anna M. Woodland
MADISON - Anna M. Woodland, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Inn Madison.
Arrangements will be announced by the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
Ethel M. Zelna
MADISON - Ethel M. Zelna, 85, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Lake East Hospital in Painesville.
She was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Cleveland, the daughter of Ethel (Erdeley) and Joseph Hangody.
She worked as a office manager and bookkeeper, retiring from Pintar Plumbing in the early 70s.
She and her husband teamed up for activities involving their children including being leaders and advising for scouts and 4-H, among others.
Survivors include a daughter, Ethelann (John) Whitely, of Madison; sons Denis P. (Carole) of Virginia Beach, Va.; and Robert (Carolyn) of Willoughby Hills; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. in 1978; a sister, Barbara; and a brother, Joseph.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday, at Immaculate Conception Church, Hubbard Road, Madison. Rev. Luigi Miola of the church will officiate.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
