Larry D. Mullin
PERRY - Larry D. Mullin, 59, of Perry, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at University Hospitals, Cleveland.
Born March 12, 1942, in Springfield, W.Va., he was the son of Adrian and Katherine (Kessell) Mullin.
Mr. Mullin had lived in Perry since 1963. He married Terry Smith on July 13, 1966, in Maryland.
He worked 11 years with the Lake County Buildings and Grounds Department.
He attended Painesville Assembly of God Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and taking "one-tank trips."
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Tammy Marie Mullin of Painesville Township, Michelle Lee Morano of Punta Gorda, Fla., Bobbie Jo Mullin-Prunty of Concord Township and Amy Sue Mullin of Perry; four grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, Andre and Ian; seven sisters, Lorrain Zurk, Helen Teets, Shirley Mullin, Cathy Evans, Joanne Kesster, Patricia Webb and Tina Doman; and three brothers, Adrian Mullin, Richard Mullin and Bill Mullin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and several infant brothers.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Transplant Unit, University Hospitals, in care of Lerner Tower, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland 44106.

James Oris
PERRY - James Oris, 86, died Saturday Sept. 23, 2000 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville.
Mr. Oris was born April 4, 1914 to James and Esther Oris, in Hemlock, and lived in Fairport Harbor, before moving to Perry 57 years ago.
He was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church and was an avid rabbit hunter.
He retired in 1976 from the Diamond Shamrock Corporation.
He is survived by a sister Mary Lesiacsek of Fairport Harbor; a brother Louis Oris of Painesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years on Feb. 1, 2000; son James Jr.; a brother Albert; and his parents.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Hungarian Reformed Church, 601 Plum St., Fairport Harbor. The Rev. Louis Medgyesi will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Potti Funeral Home, 538 Fifth Street, Fairport Harbor. An evening service will be 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Donations are suggested to the Hungarian Reformed Church Building Fund.

Ervin E. Brown
PERRY - Ervin E. Brown, 74, of Perry, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Lake Hospital System in Painesville.
He was born Dec. 4, 1925, in Braxton County, W.Va., the son of Willie and Velma Brown, and had lived in the Perry area for 38 years.
He was an Army veteran and worked as a brakeman for the B&O Railroad, retiring in 1989 after 32 years. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness congregation in Madison.
Survivors include his wife, the former Audivie Clutter; a daughter, Janiece Wendell of Geneva; two sisters, Mary Hull of Painesville and Annabell Newman of Perry; two brothers, Willard Brown of Painesville and Earl Brown of Madison; and two grandchildren, Michael & Holly Cochran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Brown; a brother, Clifford Brown Sr.; and a grandson, Richard Cochran.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brunner-Nixon Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 176 N. State St., Painesville. Burial will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry Township.
Calling hours is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

David B. Shearer
PERRY - David Booth Shearer, 56, of Perry, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at the Cleveland Clinic after a battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 12, 1946, in Painesville, the son of Basil and Lorine (Schoenbeck) Shearer, and had been a lifelong Perry resident.
He taught marketing education at Auburn Career Center for the past 26 years. Previously, he taught at the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School. He also owned and operated Dad's Old Store in Perry.
He married the former Linda Juergens on July 25, 1970, in Elmore.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, in Madison, and the Northeast Ohio Antique Dealers Association. A former member of the Jaycees, he served on the Perry Village zoning board of appeals.
He enjoyed golf, auctions, garage sales and gardening; his dog, Tally; and he was a fan of the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include his mother, Lorine; his wife; two daughters, Kerri Shearer of Willowick, and Kristi Shearer of Perry; a son, Matthew Shearer of Perry; and a sister, LaVerne Mazurik of Perry.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3050 McMackin Road, Madison. The Rev. Howard Davis, of Holy Cross Lutheran, will officiate. Burial will be at Perry Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, 44106.

Marjory S. Densmore
PERRY - Marjory S. Densmore, 69, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at her home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Painesville, the daughter of Helen (Reid) and Marcus Salchow.
A lifelong Perry resident, she was a homemaker.
Her memberships included the First Baptist Church of Perry, for more than 60 years; president of the local chapter of the American Baptist Women's Group; president of the Ashtabula Association of American Baptist Women; secretary of the American Baptist Women of Ohio; Perry Library Board of Trustees, for 37 years; American Legion Auxiliary; Perry PTA; and co-president of the Perry Band Boosters.
She was an accomplished seamstress and worked at Jo-Ann Fabrics as head of the sewing machine department.
Survivors include her husband, Donald J. Densmore, whom she married Aug. 23, 1952, in Perry; three daughters, Jane Steger of Euclid, Carole Cassidy of Lakewood, and Diane Brown of Litchfield; three sons, Richard Densmore of Strongsville, Thomas Densmore of Aurora, Ill., and Jon Densmore of Perry; 11 grandchildren, Ken, Ben, Alex, Peter, Colleen, Emily, Becky, Renee, Zachary, Nathaniel and Gabriel; two sisters, Susan Burhanna of Geneva, and Mary Salchow of Painesville; and a brother, Richard Salchow of Tom's River, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Salchow.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry. The Rev. Michael Cole, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
Instead of giving flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Memorial Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry, 44081.

Ethel M. Spence
PERRY - Ethel M. Spence, 66, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Mrs. Spence was born July 13, 1934, in Uniontown, Pa. She moved to Perry from Cleveland in 1969.
Mrs. Spence married Mayo Spence on April 29, 1968 in Cleveland and was a homemaker. She was a member of Madison Avenue Church of Christ in Painesville.
She is survived by her husband and a son, Mayo R. of Painesville.
Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mildred Carr.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison, with the evangelist Elmer Spence officiating. Burial will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5768 Heisley Road, Mentor 44060.

Allie G. Keener
PERRY ­ Allie G. Keener, 89, of Perry, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Western Reserve Nursing Home in Kirtland.
Mrs. Keener was born April 7, 1911, in Lost Creek, W. Va.
She was employed as a nursing home aide by the Ivy House in Painesville. She was a member of Christian Bible Church in Perry and was a former resident of Painesville.
Survivors include a son, James Hought of Thompson; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene of San Antonio, Texas, and Glen of Perry; six sisters, Mable Bickel of Kentucky, Madaline Enea, Betty Eubank and Ann Hamrick, all of Painesville, Mary Nuzum of Madison and Minnie Arbogast of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Emma (Root) Keener; two daughters, Kathryn Brown and Melvina Hamrick; one sister and three brothers.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. The Rev. Dan Arbogast will officiate. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Bible Church, 3613 S. Ridge Road, Perry.
