Walter A. Siekkinen
VIENNA - Walter A. Siekkinen, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1914 in Williamsfield to John and Hilma (Paanen) Siekkinen. He married Ruth Grant in 1953.
Mr. Siekkinen was employed 12 years as a paint line operator, and retired in 1980 from Van Huffel Tube in Warren. He also worked for the New York Central Railroad and was a self-employed farmer.
He was of the Lutheran faith, enjoyed traveling, and was devoted to his family.
Survivors include wife Ruth; daughter Darlene Mack of Vienna; stepdaughters Wanda Siekkinen of Girard and Karen Howard of Kinsman; stepsons Thomas Howard of Bristolville and Richard Howard of Sharon, Pa.; sisters Florence Stevens of Wayne and Irene Darno of Warren; brother Harvey Siekkinen of Lake City, Fla.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters Ellen Case and Theresa Siekkinen and brothers Art, John and Edward.
Service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, Hartford. Calling hours are 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Vienna Township Cemetery.

KINSMAN - Raymond A. Fitch, 83, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at his home.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

DICK SWITZER
KINSMAN - Dick C. Switzer, 81, of 9354 Ridge Road, Kinsman, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at his residence.
Mr. Switzer was born on July 11, 1922 in Gustavus Twp., Ohio.
Mr. Switzer will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Baumgardner Funeral Home, Kinsman, is handling the arrangements.
Barbara L. Verina Krupsa
KINSMAN - Barbara L. Verina Krupsa, 48, 817 Esther Dive., Champion died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000.
Mrs. Krupsa was born Jan. 28, 1952 in Warren the daughter of James and Fran E. (Prior) Verina.
Formerly of Kinsman Mrs. Krupsa was a Champion resident since 1970. She worked for WCI Steel, formerly Republic/LTV Steel, since 1971 in the treasury department as credit and collections technician. She also worked for Blue Cross for three years during a payoff period.
Mrs. Krupsa was a 1970 graduate of Badger High School in Kinsman. While living in Kinsman, she was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, and was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren.
She was a member of the Venture Investors' Club and was on a bowling team at Crest Lanes in Warren for 29 years. Her hobbies included flower gardening, bowling, shopping and collecting angels, Barbie dolls, Precious Moments figurines and Beanie Babies. Most of all, she loved being a mother to her two sons.
Mrs. Krupsa married David G. on Nov. 27, 1970.
She is survived by her husband; mother; two son: Jeremy J. and Adam J. both of Champion; a brother, Jim F. Verina of Kinsman; and a sister, Diane D. Clay of Youngstown.
Preceding her in death is her father in July 1999.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, with the Rev. John Koza officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Robert R. Arnold
KINSMAN - Robert R. Arnold, 79, of Kinsman-Nickerson Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1921, in Wayne Township, the son of Carl C. and Gertrude (Davis) Arnold and was a lifelong Kinsman-area resident.
He was a 1939 graduate of Kinsman High School, and served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked at the former Mullens Manufacturing, Warren, for 24 years.
He attended Kinsman United Methodist Church and was past master of the Kinsman Grange. He enjoyed gardening, sports and picking up hickory nuts.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (Miller), whom he married Feb. 23, 1946; a daughter, Linda of Kinsman; a son, Robert C. of Kinsman; a brother, Lloyd of Kinsman; and grandchildren Carl and Chris Arnold.
He was preceded in death by sisters Ruby Arnold and Ruth Schwarzenberg, and a brother, Arthur.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, with the Rev. Kenneth Kubichek officiating. Burial will be in Kinsman Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Elva C. Gilmore
KINSMAN - Elva C. Gilmore, 88, of State Road in Kinsman, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at the UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Chardon.
She was born April 8, 1914, in Conneaut, the daughter of Oren L. and Mary C. Alvord, and had been a Kinsman resident since 1938.
A 1932 graduate of Conneaut High School, she married Fern C. Gilmore on Sept. 9, 1938.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Greene Congregation. In her leisure time, she enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, knitting, tatting, embroidery and crocheting.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Reinhardt and Harriett C. Steponavicius, both of Fort Myers, Fla., and Mary Charlene MacKernan of Sierra, Nev.; a son, Bliss L. Gilmore of Kinsman; a grandson and caregiver, John J. Gilmore, of Kinsman; 10 other grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Nov. 27, 1981; a sister, Ethel S. Alvord; and a brother, Earl L. Alvord.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman. Burial will be at Williamsfield Center Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Valerie L. Post
KINSMAN - Valerie L. Post, 43, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at her home after an extended illness.
She was born July 18, 1958, the daughter of Robert and Sarah (Murphey) Springer and had lived 20 years in the Gustavus/Kinsman area.
She was married to Michael Post for 20 years and was a graduate of Berkshire High School, Burton, and was a graduate of the Kent State University nursing program.
Mrs. Post was a registered nurse for three years at Briar Hill Health Care Residence as well as other nursing homes.
She enjoyed traveling and taking care of her children.
Survivors include two sons, Josh Earls of Farmdale and Jeremy of Kinsman; two daughters, Stacey Post of Kinsman and Kasey Post of Kinsman; her mother; three brothers, Robert Springer of Huntsburg Township, Scott Springer of Mesopotamia and Brad Springer of Huntsburg Township; and one grandchild, Cody Michael Champ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, and her father.
No funeral or calling hours will be observed. The body is to be cremated.
