Judy Adams
BRACEVILLE TOWNSHIP - Judy Adams, 48, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at St. Joseph Health Care Center, Chardon, of renal cancer.
She was born May 29, 1953, at Corey Hospital, Chardon, the daughter of Edward and Charlene (Harrington) Gibbs and was a lifelong area resident.
She married Richard E. Adams on Aug. 10, 1974, in Middlefield.
A 1971 Cardinal High School graduate, Mrs. Adams worked as a finisher at Sajar Plastics, Middlefield, for more than 29 years.
She enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets, crafts and sewing.
She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Middlefield, and a member of Leavittsburg Church of God. She was a children church coordinator, special dinner events coordinator, a nursery coordinator, and a substitute for the Aunt Carol and Friends Traveling Ministry.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Teresa M. Adams; her mother; two brothers, Jeffrey and Jerry Gibbs of Middlefield; and a sister, Joyce Prinkey of Burton.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Charles; and her father.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, with the Rev. Carl D. Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
Casimir S. Archacki
NILES - Casimir S. "Casey" Archacki, 89, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Autumn Hills Care Center, Niles.
He was born Feb. 25, 1913, in Cleveland, to Ignatius and Sophia (Hojnizka) Archacki.
Mr. Archacki was a Niles-area resident since 1994, coming from Cleveland. He was a resident at the Manor of Autumn Hills since 1998.
He was a machinist for the J.W. Harwood Company in Cleveland for more than 23 years, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include daughter Betty J. Losh of Gustavus; son Bill J. Archacki of New City, N.Y.; sisters Clara Hosko of Parma, Agnes Putz of Parma and Theresa Herczog of Mentor; brothers Aloysius Archacki of Cleveland, and Chester Archacki of Cleveland; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Loretta (Schnell) and second wife Margaret (Gubanc); and brothers John, Eugene, Alex, Joseph, Zigmund and George Archacki.
Chapel mausoleum service for the burial of cremated remains will be 11 a.m. Friday at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
There will be no calling hours.
Baumgardner Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Dorothy M. Lees
NILES - Dorothy M. Lees, 95, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles.
She was born March 26, 1907, in Fostoria, the daughter of Albert J. and Barbara A. (Staub) Emerine. She also lived in Kinsman for a long time.
Mrs. Lees was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Mecca High School and Warren Business College.
She was an 80-year member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, where she served five years as an ordained elder, eight years as a deacon, and taught Sunday school for 38 years. Mrs. Lees was a 4-H leader, a charter member of the Golden Aires and a member of the Bayview Literacy Club in Kinsman.
She also was a 50-year member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kinsman Chapter 433, where she served more than 30 years as organist. She gave private piano lessons and was a seamstress for many years.
She married William J. Lees on May 28, 1925.
Survivors include her two sons, William J. Lees Jr. of Cortland, and Donald E. Lees of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Iannucci of Cortland; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Oct. 17, 1986; a sister, Claire Brugler; and three brothers, Joseph, John and Paul Emerine.
No calling hours or service will be observed.
Burial of cremains will take place in Kinsman Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Albert L. Holt
NILES - Albert L. Holt, Sr., 68, of McDonald Avenue, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren.
He was born June 15, 1934 in Petersburgh, Ky., the son of Mary E. Holt.
Formerly of Fowler, Mr. Holt had been a resident of Niles for five years.
He was an engineer for the OBL US Steel Corp., of Drovesburg, Pa., for more than 18 years, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Holt served in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years.
He served during the Korean conflict having been awarded a good conduct metal.
Mr. Holt enjoyed traveling and eating out.
He married Lois L. Ferguson on Jan. 20, 1978.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sandra L. Burris of Gallpolis, Alice M. Ramey of Rio Grande and Mary S. Midkiff of Huntington, W.Va.; a son, Albert L. Holt Jr. of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a son, Edwin L. Holt; and a grandson, Edwin M. Holt.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman.
Burial will follow in Dugan Cemetery, Fowler. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Georgia V. Gray
NILES - Georgia V. Gray, 85, a former Jefferson resident, died Thursday morning, June 12, 2003 at her daughter's residence in Niles, following a long illness.
Born November 25, 1917 in Tiltonsville, OH, the daughter of Thomas H. & Maude E. (Lutz) Gildersleeve and was a resident of the Jefferson area most of her life, before moving to Niles eight years ago. She was married to Robert A. Gray, Sr. on October 22, 1938 in Jefferson. Mrs. Gray drove a school bus for the New Lyme Schools, worked at White's Bakery and worked at area laundromats.
She was a member of the Covenant Assembly of God Church in Jefferson, but for the past eight years attended the First Assembly of God Church in Girard. For the past four years she attended the Heavenly Helpers Adult Day Care Center in Girard. She enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, and bowling.
Survivors include four children, Mattie Ellen (James) Giddings of Niles, Robert A. (Judy) Gray, Jr. of Huntington, MD, John H. (Donna) Gray of Ashtabula, and Edward W. (Linda) Gray of Saybrook Twp.; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Kenneth Gildersleeve of Chesterland; and a sister, Martha Rideout of Wixom, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 1998; a grandson, Lawrence Giddings; brothers, Fred, Robert, John, and Samuel Gildersleeve; and sisters, Alice Gnau, Divona Bonnie Gildersleeve, Louise McDaniel, Isabella DeSimo, Verna Nelson, and June Wetzig.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16, at the Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Pastor John Musgrave of the First Assembly of God Church officiating.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be directed to the First Assembly of God Church Memorial Fund, 6779 Belmont Ave., Girard, OH 44420. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
Jill K. Witt
NILES Jill K. Witt, 57, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at her home.
She was born October 3, 1945, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Michael C. and Margaret E. (Stoddard) Murphy.
Ms. Witt was formerly of Andover and had lived in Niles for the past 25 years. She was a 1963 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School. She served in the United States Air Force stateside during the Vietnam War. She had worked 17 years for the General Electric Plant in Niles.
She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, crocheting and framing.
Ms. Witt is survived by her mother of Andover; a son, Jason A. Witt of Niles; a brother, Richard C. Murphy of Iowa City, Iowa, Thomas M. Murphy of Kinsman; three sisters, Joy Ann Ledenican of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jan E. Boylan of Cincinnati and Joan M. Murphy of Hillsboro.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.
Calling hours are 12 to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at The Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.

Anna Amilia Kassay
NILES - Anna Amilia Kassay, 92, of Niles, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles.
She was born May 1, 1908, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Peter and Ursula (Gavin) Stanonis.
A homemaker, she also was employed at General Electric in Cleveland and Waid's Restaurant in Colebrook. She enjoyed gardening and making quilts.
Survivors include a son, Edward Kassay of Colebrook; a daughter, Dorothy Rodgers of Colebrook; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kassay, on Sept. 4, 1977; five brothers: Joseph, Francis, Peter, Benjamin and John Stanonis; and a sister, Mary Luckwitz.
There will be no service or calling hours.
