Belvie Barrett
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Belvie Barrett, 74, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at her home.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Chapmanville, W. Va., the daughter of Eddie and Oilla (Mullins) Adams. She had been an area resident since 1988.
She married Harrison L. Barrett on April 3, 1978, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Barrett was a factory worker for General Electric. She enjoyed cards, crossword puzzles, stamp collecting and reading.
She attended the United Methodist Church in Mesopotamia.
She is survived by a son, Frank Farmer of Mesopotamia; a grandson, Danny Farmer of Mesopotamia; a granddaughter, Leslie Wolford of Mesopotamia; a great-granddaughter, Logan Wolford; and a sister, Georgia Jarrels of Euclid.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers Jennings Thompson, Everett Adkins, Cecil Mullens and Bob Adams; and sisters Elvie Turner and Ina Wells.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mesopotamia.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Annie M. Miller
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Annie M. Miller, 79, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at her home in Mesopotamia Township.
She was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Lancaster, Pa., the daughter of Christian and Malinda (Riehl) King. She lived in the Mesopotamia Township area for 41 years.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.
She married John S.C. Miller on Nov. 10, 1988, in Mesopotamia Township.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include her husband; 14 stepsons; six stepdaughters; three brothers; six sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by death by her parents; a brother; and her first husband, Ervin N. Byler on March 23, 1988.
Service will be 9:30 a.m. Sunday at 4579 Gates Road, Mesopotamia Township, with the Rev. Joe Bricker officiating. Burial will be Wilcox Cemetery in Mesopotamia Township.
Visitation will be anytime at the residence.
Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, Middlefield, is in charge of arrangements.

Enos J. Shrock
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Enos T. Shrock, 75, of North Girdle Road in Mesopotamia Township, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at University Hospitals in Cleveland. He died of complications from hip surgery.
He was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Troy Township, the son of John H. and Fannie (Yoder) Shrock. He was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Shrock was a retired printer and school teacher in the Amish Parochial Schools.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with the grandchildren.
Mr. Shrock was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include his wife Mary (Mullet), whom he married Jan. 25, 1951; four sons, Joe, Enos and Lester, all of Mumfordsville, Ky., and John of Middlefield; seven daughters, Martha Mast, Ada Wengerd, Susie Stutzman, Mary Miller, Sarah Kauffman and Leah Byler, all of Middlefield, and Rhoda Miller of Burton; 64 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at 8960 N. Girdle Road in Mesopotamia Township. The Rev. Wallace J.S. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Wilcox Cemetery in Mesopotamia Township.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.

Regina Barnhart
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Regina Barnhart, 58, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
The daughter of James Wilford and Evelyn Lucille (Jordan) Roush, she was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Barnhart was a homemaker, and a former member of King James Baptist Church in Newton Falls. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and knitting.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Birl A. Barnhart; her mother; three daughters: Peggy Pequignot, Terri and Dawn all of Mesopotamia Township; three sons: Stephen of Orwell, Douglas and Wayne, both of Mesopotamia Township; 14 grandchildren; four sisters: Mary Hood, Nancy Butler and Dorothy Brown, all of Newton Falls, and Geraldine "Sue" Winland of Leavittsburg; and one brother, James of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, with the Rev. Thomas Purchase, of Grand Valley Church of the Nazarene in Orwell, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mesopotamia.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Eli E. Byler
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Eli E. Byler, 69, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital, Claridon Township.
Born Oct. 21, 1930, in Middlefield, he was a son of Eli and Lydia (Weaver) Byler and had been a lifelong area resident.
He married Fannie Mae Troyer on March 25, 1954.
Mr. Byler worked at Geauga Industries, later known as Carlisle Corp. for many years.
He also skidded logs for a time.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include his wife; four brothers: Andy of Quaker City, Dan of Spartansburg, Pa., Ben of Middlefield and Joe of Burton; a four sisters: Emma Hostetler of Spartansburg, Pa., Jemima Troyer of Garrettsville, and Clara Coblentz and Lydia Troyer, both of Jackson Center, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Service is 10 a.m. Thursday at 7951 Parkman-Mespo Road, Mesopotamia, with Mervin Detweiler, bishop, officiating. Burial will be in Wilcox Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia.
Calling hours are any time at the residence.

Rebecca S. Richards
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Rebecca S. Richards, 90, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.
Ms. Richards was born June 25, 1911, in Windsor, the daughter of John and Willow (Syme) Richards.
A graduate of Mesopotamia High School, she worked for Dr. H.E. Shafer in Middlefield and Johnson Rubber Co. before retiring in 1976.
She enjoyed playing the piano and loved music, gardening and her flowers. She was a member of Mesopotamia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Carl J. Richards of Middlefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl and Winfield; and two sisters, Mildred Seibert and Lois Ford.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, with the Rev. Gary Mitchel of the Mesopotamia United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mesopotamia Township.
Calling hours are 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mesopotamia United Methodist Church.

Ervin W. Byler
MESOPOTAMIA TOWNSHIP - Ervin W. Byler, 83, of Parkman-Mespo Road, Mesopotamia, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at his home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Middlefield, to William J. and Malinda D. (Byler) Byler, and was a lifelong area resident.
He married Jemima Miller on April 13, 1944.
Mr. Byler was a farmer, and his hobby was woodworking. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Crist and Bill of Middlefield, and Ervin Jr. and Lester of Mumfordville, Ky.; two daughters, Linda Troyer and Martha Miller, both of Middlefield; three brothers, Dan and Bill, both of Middlefield, and Jake of Burton; two sisters, Mattie Fisher and Katie Miller, both of Middlefield; 35 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
Funeral is 9:30 a.m. Saturday at 7851 Parkman-Mespo Road, Mesopotamia, with Bishop Allen Byler officiating.
Burial will be in Wilcox Cemetery, Mesopotamia Township. Visitation is anytime at the residence.
The Russell Funeral Service, of Middlefield, is handling the arrangements.
