Robert ''Birdie'' Worrell

Robert Lee ''Birdie'' Worrell, 54, Cadiz, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at his home. He was born January 2, 1952 in Wheeling, West Virginia a son of Adrian Worrell of Cadiz and the late Mildred Harris Worrell.
He attended the Minksville Church of Christ, was a member of the Jefferson County Coonhunters Club, and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the VietNam Era. He was an Equipment Operator for Nottingham Twp., and was a part time Farmer.
He was preceded in death in addition to his mother, by a stepdaughter Wendy Stock and a brother Jack Worrell.
He is survived in addition to his father; by his wife Agnes ''Aggie'' Ksiazek Worrell of Cadiz; a son, Doug Worrell of Florida; a stepson, Joe Stock of Harrisville, Ohio; a grandson, Justin Worrell of Smithfield, Ohio; a brother, Ross Worrell of Freeport, Ohio; a sister, Patricia Smith of Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Augi.
Calling hours are Thursday, 4-7 and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Noon at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Rev. Charles Mehl officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Hopedale American Legion.
Elizabeth Louise Lee

Elizabeth Louise Lee, 92, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at her home in Cadiz. She was born Luisa Giangiacomo on June 17, 1913 at Plum Run (Rhodesdale), Jefferson County, Ohio, the daughter of Abramo and Rosina Pezzopane Giangiacomo, both natives of Onna, Italy.
She was a gradutate of St. Clairsville High School, a housewife by occupation, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz and the Harrison County Historical Society.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Anita Jean Lee; her husband, William Albert Lee, Sr. in 1996; and by her sisters: Clara Giangiacomo, Grace C. Calovini, Leona G. Furste, and Lillian G. Logan; and brothers: Felix G. James and Dr. Arthur G. James.
Surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline Elaine Wallace and her husband Charles of Cadiz and Mary Margaret ''Peggy'' Moreland and her husband Jack of Westerville, Ohio; a son Dr. William Albert Lee, Jr. and his wife, Collette of Madison, Wisconsin; a sister Mrs. Clara Mae Jacobs of Cincinnati; a brother Vincent G. James of Holly Pond, Alabama.
Other survivors include grandson John Lee Wallace and wife Sheila of New Albany, Ohio and their children Victoria, Alexandra, and Katherine; granddaughter Dr. Jennifer Lee (Wallace) Willett and husband Dr. Daryl N. Willett of Hilliard, Ohio and their children Caitlin, Cullen, and Holden; granddaughter Joanna Lee (Wallace) Gilicinski and husband Mark of Dublin, Ohio and their children Nicholas, Caroline, and William; Christa (Moreland) Tobin and husband Dr. Evan Tobin of New Albany, Ohio and their children Sophia and Noah; grandsons Tim and Dan Moreland of Columbus; granddaughter Beth Marie (Lee) Casey and husband Christopher of Edgerton, Wisconsin; and granddaughter Trisha Alana Lee of Chicago, Illinois. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and her very spoiled cat Matilda.
Friends may call Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio. Rev. Dr. David Rice will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Earle L. Kimmel

Earle L. Kimmel, 90, of Jewett, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Harrison County Home, Cadiz. He was born September 22, 1915 in Archer Twp., Harrison County, Ohio, a son of the late Rupert R. and Anna P. Chalfant Kimmel.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Jewett; a graduate of Jewett High School; a member of the American Legion and the Jewett Sportsman's Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virbel M. Russell Kimmel, whom he married March 9, 1937, in 1988; two brothers, George and Royal R. Kimmel; two sisters, Helen and Ruth Kimmel; and an infant brother.
Surviving are a son, Edward Kimmel of Ft. Wayne, IN; three daughters, Donna Abel of Cottonwood, AL, Linda Bake and her husband, Abe, and Ruth Blackburn, all of Jewett; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and two sisters, Mary Hamilton of Dennison and Edna Morris of Uhrichsville.
Friends may call Monday from 6-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Victor Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jewett.

Karen Louise Reed

Karen L. Reed, 55, of Cadiz, died Thursday, January 6, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born January 6, 1951 in Steubenville, a daughter of Donald and Mary Paulin White of Jewett.
She was a Corrections Officer at the Belmont Correction Institution in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Reed, Sr. on January 30, 2006.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her son, James F. Reed, Jr., of Cadiz; two step-daughters, Jamie Reed of Washington, PA and Monica Kramer of Monessen, PA; three step-grandchildren, Joshua, Isaik and Solomon James; a sister Pam and her husband, Wayne Dulkoski of Jewett; a brother, David White of Steubenville; and several nieces and nephews.

Ethel Evelyn Dandridge

Ethel Evelyn Dandridge, 79, of Cadiz, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Christian Nursing Home in Cincinnati. She was born January 20, 1927 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late John and Etta Mae Gross Doubt.
Sis was a member of St. James AME Church, where she sang in the Choir and was active on several committees and boards. She also attended the House of Prayer Apostolic Church in Cincinnati. She was a member of the Arch Jackson Post, VFW, Auxiliary, and was a Domestic Engineer for several families in the Cadiz area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice F. Dandridge in 1986; a son Steven M.; sister, Martha Mae West; brothers-in law, Ellsworth West, Harry Lester Dandridge and Walter Dandridge.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Gary of Chesapeake, VA and Lynette Enoch of Cincinnati; an adopted daughter, Carla Powells of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Erma Pla of CA, Myrtle Dandridge of NYC, and Shirley (Ann) Dandridge of Cadiz.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1:00 until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at St. James A.M.E. Church, 300 E. Market St., Cadiz, Ohio. Rev. L.A. Gatewood will officiate. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Arrangements are by Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz.
Tessie L. Ward

Tessie L. Ward, 86, New Athens, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Harrison County Home.
She was born December 29, 1919 in Auburn, Indiana a daughter of the late Joseph and Daisy May Gudgeon Lane.
She was a member of the House of the Shepherd in New Athens, a former employee of G.M. Plant 6 in Anderson, Indiana and a former employee of Dr. Mederis in Arcadia, Califorinia.
She was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by her husband John Harry Ward on July 16, 1998.
She is survived by her close friends: Pete and Jean Tuchek of New Athens, Billie Jean McDonald of Richmond, Ohio, Bill and Betty Roe, and serveral nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Pete Tuchek officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Kathryn V. Moore

Kathryn V. Moore, 91, of Cadiz died Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born March 4, 1915 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Alvin C. and Mary Fox Richards.
She was the retired owner and operator of the Richards Printing Shop in Cadiz, and was a member of the First Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred F. Moore in 1951; four brothers, William, Jess ''Pete'', Carl, and Charles Richards; and six sisters, Elizabeth McCue, Lucille Best Bell, Sarah Carter, Margaret Stark, Mary Thomas, and Helen Richards.
Surviving are a son, Charles Moore and his wife, Linda of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Michael Moore of Hopedale and Jodi Norris and her husband, Chad of Wintersville; two great grandchildren, Jared and Brennon Norris; and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis Jane Heavilin Wallace
June 18, 1917 - March 31, 2006
Phyllis Jane Heavilin Wallace, 88, Cadiz, passed away Friday, March 31, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio following a brief illness. She was a member of the Deersville United Methodist Church, the Brushy Fork Homemakers club for numerous years, and served as a 4-H advisor for 56 years. She enjoyed teaching many, many young people how to sew. She was also an accomplished amateur artist, of which she has shared with her family and friends. Phyllis was born in Stock Township, Harrison County where she attended Laceyville School. At a young age her family moved to Arizona until her fathers's death in 1929. Upon returning to Harrison County, Phyllis graduated from Scio High School in 1935. She attended Kent State Tuscarawas Campus from 1983-1984. On October 26, 1936 she married Max E. Wallace and became a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Phyllis was the oldest child of Robert Park and Winifred Bargar Heavilin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Max E. Wallace. Also preceding her in death were her brothers: Eugene, Vance, and Dee Heavilin, a daughter, Faith Anne and 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by a large loving family. Children: Faith Anne Knight, deceased (John), Linda May (Robert), Rebecca Lipinski (Theodore), Jane Ellen Willis (Dan), Sandra Hoyte (Barry), Keith (Jayne), Stanley (Delma), Melora Mencer (Roger), Kevin (Pam), Tenley Telfer (Keith). Grandchildren: Bradley, John Max (dec.), Jeffery, and Anthony Knight, Devanie (Knight) Gladman and Stephanie (Knight) Bujag; Robin (May) Palmer, April, Ryan, and Amity May; Gregory, Natasha (dec.), and Douglas Lipinski; Matthew Willis and Sara (Willis) Brown, Thane (dec.); Seth and Thor Hoyte; Kyle, Lucas, and Samantha Wallace; Alisha (Wallace) Baxter, Lance and Brett Wallace; Nathaniel Mencer and Megan (Mencer) Hilligas; Brian Wallace and Maggie (Wallace) Clark; Kelsey, Keila, and Kallie Telfer; 37 great grandchildren complete the family. One brother Robert Heavilin of Canton, Ohio.
