Memorial mass for Richard D. Giovannelli, age 71, of Mentor will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday February 24, 2005 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. (Please meet at the church).
Mr. Giovannelli died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. He was born January 20, 1934 in Canton, Ohio.
Mr. Giovannelli was an Electronic Lab Technician at Republic Steel Corp. in Cleveland for 26 years. Following that he was a maintenance supervisor at Packaging Corporation of America in Mentor for 11 years retiring in 1997. U. S. Naval Reserves veteran. member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor; avid gardener and wine maker. He enjoyed cooking and making homemade pasta. Loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife JoAnn of 47 years; son Rick (Selena) Giovannelli of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren Cecilia and Matthew Giovannelli; brother Ronald (Donna) Giovannelli; uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Denise Giovannelli; sister Yvonne Manos.
Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Funeral service for Sarah Fay Blevins, age 66, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be 11 a.m. Monday February 21, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Blevins died Feb. 17, 2005, at her residence. She was born March 26, 1938, in Warrior, Ala., she lived in Willoughby before moving to Mentor-on-the-Lake 45 years ago.
She enjoyed fishing and camping at the Lake County Rod and Gun Club.
Mrs. Blevins was a homemaker. She was employed by Eye Lighting International in Mentor for five years.
Survivors are her husband of 48 years, Billy; children, James (Lydia) Blevins of Mentor, Billy (Lillian) Blevins of Perry, Gina (Tim) Allred of Russell Township and Ricky Blevins (Michelle Swanson) of Mentor; grandchildren, Michael and Kathy Blevins, Amy Allred, Jeff Marunowski, Ashley and Nathan Blevins and, Alyssa and James Swanson; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Dean and Jonnie Young, both of Alabama; and brothers, Charles "Bill" Grantham of Mentor and Bart Grantham of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday February 20, 2005 at the funeral home.
Interment is at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
Funeral mass for Dorothy J. (Voorhies) Apicella, age 79, of Mentor, for 12 years, will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday February 23, 2005 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
Mrs. Apicella died Saturday February 19, 2005 at Lake Med Nursing and Rehabilitation in Painesville Twp. She was born April 12, 1925 in Cleveland, she had lived in Willowick before moving to Mentor.
Mrs. Apicella was a secretary for the Catholic Social Services for 27 years retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Mentor, AA, an avid pinochle player and a devoted wife, mother, grandma and great grandma.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years Peter; children Mary Braddock of Virginia, Peter Apicella of Cleveland, Richard Apicella of Willoughby Hills, Marcia Kren of Willoughby, Patricia (James) Sottosanti of Mentor and Barbara (Tim) Fahey of Mentor; grandchildren Jennifer (Dennis) Lawler, Andrea Kender, Nicholas (Michelle) Apicella, Kristen, Richard and Michelle Apicella, Jessica Sottosanti and Patrick Fahey; great grandchildren Anastasia and Josephine; sister Lee (Ray) Rainone of Euclid; sister in law Bonnie Voorhies; survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Christine Voorhies; son in law Frank Kren; brothers Wesley and Roy Voorhies.

Mrs. Hribar died Thursday March 3, 2005 at Heartland of Mentor in Concord Twp. She was January 3, 1933 in Cleveland, she had lived in Collinwood before moving to Euclid where she lived for 23 years.
Mrs. Hribar had attended St. Vitus Catholic Church in Cleveland and she was a 1950 graduate of the former St. Francis High School in Cleveland.
Survivors include her daughter Linda (Dave) Wallace of Perry Twp.; mother Christine (Basca) (Mehlberg) Duche of Westlake; sister Rosemary (Donald) Kalfas of N. Olmstead; survived by many other loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J.; father Elmer Mehlberg.

Funeral service for Maryellen (Young) Karnes, age 81, of Marion, will be 1 p.m. Saturday February 26, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Mrs. Karnes died Feb. 23, 2005, at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Newbury. She was born June 2, 1923, in Thompson, she had lived in Kirtland and Baltimore, Md., before moving to Marion eight years ago.
Mrs. Karnes was an executive secretary at Magnif Corporation in Painesville. She was a graduate of Andrews School for Girls, taught conversational English to Chinese students in Baltimore, and was an administrative assistant to a minister in Indiana, Pa.
Survivors are her daughters, Joanie (Sandy) Lerner of Estes Park, Colo., Cappy (James) Higgins of Baltimore, Md., and Karen (Martin) Sandel of Solon; sons, Robert (Terry) Isley of Seattle, Wash., John (Giselle) Isley of Seattle, Wash., and David (Patrice) Isley of Marion; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Philip (Peggy) Young of Dewey, Ariz., and Sam (Gert) Young of Jackson, Tenn.
Her husband, John Karnes; grandchildren, Kevin Gage and Timothy Isley; sister, Virginia "Babe" Williams; brother, Frank Young; and parents, Percy and Katherine Young, are deceased.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
Memorial service for Mary Jane Stadler, age 76, of Mentor will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Stadler died Friday, January 28, 2005 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. She was born April 2, 1928 in Crown, Pennsylvania.
She attended St. Bede the Venerable Church, she also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Leonard of 56 years; children Jack (Suzanne) Stadler of Painesville Twp., Mary Rose Armitage of Painesville Twp., Jerry (Peggy) Stadler of Austinburg, Bernard Stadler of Mentor, and Debbi (Jesse) Anderson of Concord; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, 2 sisters, 4 brothers and her parents William and Mabel Culp.

Funeral Mass for Alyce Mary (Trunkely) Carrish, 80, of Eastlake, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday February 15, 2005 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Mrs. Carrish died Feb. 11, 2005, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby. She was born April 5, 1924, in Collinwood, she had lived in Euclid before moving to Eastlake 10 years ago.
She was a member of the Meat Packers Union and Elks Lodge 18, in Willoughby. She was also an avid bowler and enjoyed dancing.
Mrs. Carrish worked as a meat wrapper for Fazio Foods for 25 years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors are her sons, Jeffrey Carrish of Erie, Colo., Gregory Carrish of Crystal Beach, Fla., Timothy (Cindy) Carrish of Mentor and David Carrish of Irvine, Calif.; and grandchildren, Tracy, Chris, Evan, Dustin, and Brandon.
Her husband, Joseph Carrish, is deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
