Funeral Mass for Roberta Fisher, age 60, a lifelong resident of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday May 7, 2008 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township. Mrs. Fisher died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. She was born Feb. 4, 1948, in Painesville.
Mrs. Fisher was an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group in Willoughby for many years. Roberta volunteered with the Food Bank in Lake County and was a member of the Lake County Business Women's Association and the Little Mountain Garden Club. She enjoyed Slovenian polka, the Cleveland Orchestra, Ballet and Playhouse, traveling, golfing and her dog, Lilly.
Survivors are her son, Capt. Bradford (Casey Edmisten) Fisher of Mentor and daughter, Brittany Fisher of Mentor; sisters, Dorothy Kekic of Cleveland, Theresa (William) Kovacic of Thompson, Catherine (Robert) Ostrunic of Euclid and Carolyn Baker of Thompson; brother, Joseph (Denise) Miller of Raleigh, N.C.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Norman Fisher M.D.; second husband, Dr. Richard S. Zerinsky; two sisters, Josephine "Chickie" Reeves and Ann "Butchie" Abranovich; two brothers, John J. and William Miller; and her parents, John and Mary Miller.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment at Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.
The family suggests contributions be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, 44060 or Hospice House, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, 44119, or a charity of one's choice.

Memorial service for Jeanne E. Fracci, age 83, of Painesville Twp., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday May 3, 2008 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mrs. Fracci died Saturday April 26, 2008 at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born June 9, 1924 in Cleveland, she had lived in Mentor before moving to Painesville Twp., 6 years ago.
Mrs. Fracci was a former wedding coordinator for Fracci Florist in Mentor. She loved her family and was always helping people out.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leonard; granddaughters Staci (Todd) Music of Concord Twp. and Jodi Shuber of Mentor; great grandchildren Sarah, Kelsey and Tyler Music. She was preceded in death by her daughter Leni “Corky” Fracci Kern; parents Ralph and Nellie Butler; sister Audrey Wilson.
Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment Mentor Cemetery.

Memorial service for Mary Ann "Grandma Red" Lawrence Centnar, age 71, a lifelong Mentor resident, but who lived in Houston, Texas from 1978 to 1998, will be 1 p.m. Friday May 16, 2008 at Mentor Plains United Methodist Church, 7271 Lake Shore Blvd., Mentor. Mrs. Centnar died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born March 29, 1937, in Willoughby.
She was a member of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She loved to watch Swan's in all their natural beauty, especially at Granger's Pond. She also loved to do crafts. Mrs. Centnar worked as a hairdresser at Raun's Hair Salon in Kirtland.
Survivors are her husband, Richard Centnar of Fairport Harbor; daughters, Dawn (Tom) Hilscher of Mentor and Lynne Rogers of LaPorte, Texas; sons, John (Lisa) Lawrence of Mentor and Spank (Nancy) Lawrence of Mentor-on-the-Lake; two stepdaughters; four stepsons; seven grandchildren, Felicia and Chelsey Hilscher, Che and Chris Rogers, and Braden, Eric and Josh Lawrence; sister, Wini Lyman of Willoughby; brothers, John (Jane) Vorel of Florida and David (Betty) Dann of Painesville; and former son-in-law, Tom Rogers of LaPorte, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Eleanor Dann.

Funeral services for David J. Austen, 51, of Concord Township, will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mr. Austen died suddenly Saturday, April 19, 2008, at his residence.
Born Sept. 18, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he had lived in Mentor and Willoughby before moving to Concord Township five years ago. He enjoyed motorcycles, nature, camping, spending time with his family and physical fitness. David held a special devotion to his Lord and found joy in serving others.
Mr. Austen was an officer for the Ohio Highway Patrol and the Willoughby Police Department for 18 years, serving as patrolman, sergeant, lieutenant, detective lieutenant and reached the rank of assistant police chief before his retirement in 2000. He won many law enforcement awards including the Blue Coat Award, Officer of the Year, Education Award, Combat Cross and many recognition awards.
Survivors include his children, Amanda Austen of Willoughby Hills, Jennifer Austen of Willoughby and Kenneth "K.C." Austen of Mentor; mother, Maxine Austen of Concord Township; and brother, Dwight (Janet) Austen of Willoughby. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Austen Jr.; and brother, Kenneth Austen. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Concord Township Cemetery.
Contributions in Mr. Austen's name are suggested to Teen Challenge of Greater Cleveland, P.O. Box 115, Perry, OH 44081.

Private family services will be held at a later date for Mary "Mitzi" Badza, 82, of Willoughby. Mrs. Badza died April 22, 2008, at her residence. She was born May 8, 1925, in Cleveland, she had lived in Mentor before moving to Willoughby 30 years ago.
Survivors are her children, Jacqueline Marincic of Rifle, Colo., Jean (Claude) Powali of Willowick and Bobby Marincic of Australia; grandchildren, Michael, Tina and Theresa; great-grandchildren, Madison and Andrew; brother, Raymond (Pat) Fidel; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Marincic; second husband, Robert Badza; parents, Frank and Kathrine Fidel; and brother, Frank Fidel.

Funeral Mass for Robert H. "Bob" Baker, 60, of Mentor, will be noon Saturday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township. Please meet at the church.
Mr. Baker died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his residence. He was born Aug. 11, 1947, in Cleveland and lived in Eastlake before moving to Mentor in 1978.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. He loved golfing, fishing, building and carpentry. Mr. Baker was an inspector for General Motors Fisher Body Plant for many years prior to his retirement in 1989.
Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Patricia; four children, Robert (Andrea) Baker of Mentor, James (Lisa) Baker of Concord Township, Stacey Barrett of Mentor and Scott Baker of Texas; 10 grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Brittany, Christina, Nicole, Amanda, Tyler and Britlynn Baker and Alyssa and Casey Barrett; brothers, Michael (June) Baker of Georgia and Henry (Marianne) Baker of Cleveland; sisters, Linda Baker of Arizona and Pamela Tallman of Georgia; and nieces and nephews, Michael, Matthew, Michelle, Jack, Gina, Gia, Dena and Megan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen Baker.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Entombment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic, One Clinic Center, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44197.

Funeral service for Hazel A. Banker, age 68, of Perry, will be 11am Monday, May 5, 2008 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mrs. Banker died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville. She was born July 14, 1939 in Denison, Ohio, she lived in Grand River until moving to Perry 32 years ago.
Mrs. Banker was a homemaker and a housekeeper for many area families. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed caring for her home and family. She took pride in flowers, gardens and bird watching.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Rev. Lloyd G. Banker; children Kathy (Thomas) Fratino, of Georgia, Mary Washington of California, Lloyd A. Banker, Sr. of Perry and Paul (Darlene) Banker of Concord Township; nine grandchildren Stephen Diffenbacher, Tommy Fratino II, Anthony Fratino, Misty (Matt) Valverdi, Lisa (Allen) Parra, Amanda (Mike) Crelin, Lloyd A. Banker, Jr., Christopher Banker and Melinda Banker; five great grandchildren A.J., Trenton, Hudson, Devin and Hanna; mother Mary E. Bailey of Florida; two sisters Louise Ditto of Florida, Ginny (Vern) Miles of Mentor and two brothers Richard Bailey of Willoughby and Bill Bailey of Florida. She was preceded in death by her father William E. Bailey and son in law Carl Washington.
Family will receive friends from 5-8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Interment, Perry Cemetery, Perry Township.

Memorial services for Jacquin M. Zentner Bodemer, 93, of Mentor, will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mrs. Bodemer died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Salida Woods in Mentor.
Born July 5, 1914, in Dayton, she had lived in Mentor the past 57 years. She was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church in Mentor, PEO Club (Philanthropic Education Organization), Miscellany Club, Wildwood Garden Club and Mentor Women's Club. She was graduate of East Tech High School. She loved to read, garden, sew and solve crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Bodemer was a retired secretary from the former Cleveland Crane & Engineering.
Survivors are her stepdaughters, Linda (Phil) Torer of Mentor and Lois (Dale) Dunlap of Mentor; stepsons, William (Debbie) Bodemer of Willoughby and David (Barbara) Bodemer of Stow; five grandchildren, Michelle (Drew) Toth, Steven (Amy) Torer, Joshua Dunlap, Julie (Steve) Snyder and Cheryl (Randy) Barsic; and four great-grandchildren, Alex, Eric, Tommy and Caden.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Werner Zentner; and second husband, Clayton Bodemer.
Friends may call from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
