USA High School Yearbooks by State and County

Ronald J. "Ron" Sternot, age 59, a longtime Lake County resident, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born Dec. 9, 1951, in Cleveland.
Mr. Sternot was a millwright at TECT (T.R.W.) in Euclid for many years prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a former U.A.W. Local 2562 president. His favorite hobby was fishing.
Survivors are his two sons, Zachary and Spencer Sternot both of Concord Township; three brothers, Raymond (Connie) Sternot of Painesville, Robert (Jan) Sternot of Painesville and Richard Sternot of Willowick; sister, Ann Marie (Robert) White of Denver, Colo.; and many other loving family members. He is also survived by his dear friend, Jackie Sternot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ann Sternot.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord, Township.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
A reception will be held immediately following the burial at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Reception Center (located on property at the funeral home).

Robert N. Timbrook age 84 of New Port Richey, Florida, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at Community Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida. He lived 27 years in Florida and over 50 years in the Lake County area in Ohio. He was born July 13, 1917 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He was a retired department head of coning from American Cyanamid Textiles where he worked for 33 years. He was a 1935 Graduate of Perry High School in Perry, Ohio; U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II, Inducted October 22, 1943 at Amphibious Training Base in in Little Creek, Virginia; military schools attended-U.S. Navy, University of Illinois Diesel School and advanced classes at Camp Bradford in Norfolk, Virginia. His rank was Motor Machinist Mate, First Class; ships served on were Landing Craft LSM-23 and LST-965; U.S. Navy Awards received American Area Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Medal-1 Star, Phillipine Liberation Medal-2 Stars and Victory Medal; Honorable Discharge January 7, 1946 from Toledo, Ohio. Served as a Special Deputy with the Lake County Sheriffs Dept for 10 years; member of Lodges and Club, Past President of IRC Management Club, Life Member of Painesville Elks Lodge #549, past President of Homeowners Association Seven Springs, Florida, Charter Member of Veterans Village and American Legion Post #345 in Seven Springs, Florida.
Survivors include his loving wife Helen Gertrude Leggett Timbrook whom he married October 20, 1962 at Painesville Methodist Church in Painesville, Ohio; dear father of Robert Douglas Timbrook and Susan (Richard) Timbrook-Freeze both of Florida; grandchildren Tim, Bryan and Scott Timbrook and Michael R (Michelle) Freeze; great-grandchild Jacob M Freeze; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Mary Ann Vinkovich.
He was preceded in death by his son Raymond James Timbrook in 1992, his parents Newton and Edythe Timbrook, step-mother Iris Penhollow Timbrook, sisters Arretta Martin and Helen Spanley and sister-in-law, Helene G Leggett.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Family suggests contributions be made to the R.J.T. “Ray of Hope” Fund, c/o Fifth Third Bank, 6675 Center St, Mentor, Ohio 44060 in memory of his son, Raymond J Timbrook or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Rd, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Mary K. Toma, age 87, of Willowick for the last 45 years, formerly of East Cleveland. Mrs. Toma died Monday Nov 26, 2001 at Heartland of Mentor in Mentor. She was born June 25, 1914 in Pennsylvania.
A secretary at Towmotor in Mentor prior to that she worked for TRW in Euclid and for Murray Ohio in Cleveland.
Survivors include son Jack (Dorothy) Toma of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren Lisa Nabulsi, Michelle (Phillip) Toma-Harrold and Michael Toma. Great Grandchildren Leanna Nabulsi, Danielle and Emily Toma- Harrold. Brother Paul Kluznik of Euclid. Survived by nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Toma is preceded in death by daughter Nancy Coffield. Sisters Helen, Katherine and Evelyn. Brothers Michael, Jim, Steve and John.
Memorial Service will be held 1p.m. Thursday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland, 3601 S. Green Rd, suite 100, Cleveland, Ohio 44122.

Grant A. Covill, age 68, of Mentor for the past 41 years, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby.
He was born June 19, 1940 in Pittsburg, N.H.
Mr. Covill was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby. He was a retired welder for Lincoln Electric in Euclid, where he worked for 33 years before retiring in 2002.
Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Paulette; daughter, Christine Covill of Mentor; sons, Dan (Janet) Covill of Thompson and Philip Covill of Mentor; five grandchildren, Mark, Crystal and Grant Covill and Sarah and Deanna Campbell; sisters, Erma (David) Libby of Maine, June Phillips of New Hampshire and Myrna (Ernie) Pearson of Massachusetts; his brother, Larry (Sheila) Covill of New Hampshire; aunt, Pauline (Dean) Gilbert of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Covill; grandson, Michael Covill; granddaughter, Reanna Covill; parents, Reginald and Jose Covill; sister, Madeline Dion; and brother, Keith Covill.

Kathy L. Waldron (Bradley) age 36 of Euclid for 10 years formerly of Mentor died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1965 in Richmond Heights.
Mrs. Waldron was a medical transcriptionist for University Hospital. She enjoyed playing the violin. Mrs. Waldron enjoyed gardening around the house and decorating the house. She was a prolific cross-stitcher.
Survivors include her husband William P. of 12 years; father Robert Bradley of Tennessee; uncle Joseph Gray of Burton; cousins Joe and Rick Gray.
She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Bradley and her aunt Martha Gray.
Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor.
The family will receive friends 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Inurnment Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.

Funeral service for Mary C. Ferree, age 79, of Mentor-on-the-Lake for the past 40 years, formerly of Cleveland, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday August 13, 2008 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mrs. Ferree died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Mentor-on-the-Lake. She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Germantown, Pa.
Mrs. Ferree was a retired lab technician at Millrose Industry. She enjoyed bingo and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Constance (John) Ingersoll of Mentor, William Ferree of Willoughby Hills, Richard Ferree of Willoughby Hills and Joanne Ferree of Akron; grandchildren, John, Paul and Mark Ingersoll, Shannon and Jesse Ferree, Michael Wallace and Halle Brazis; great-grandchildren, Mahri Bledsoe, John Rogers and Marissa and Karly Wallace; and sister, Helen Ryel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Ferree; her parents, Michael and Mary Kozer; sisters, Pauline Mego and Irene; and brothers, William and Michael Kozer.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.

Memorial service for Merle E. Allsopp, age 83, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Allsopp died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Summerville, Mass., she lived in Cleveland before moving to Willoughby more than 45 years ago.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, gardening and watching birds. She was a member of Willoughby Eagles and was an aide with the Lake County Council on Aging.
Mrs. Allsopp worked for the Painesville parking garage for more than 10 years, retiring in 1985, as manager.
Survivors are her son, Gary (Sandra) Allsopp of Mentor; daughters-in-law, Rose Allsopp and Jeanette Allsopp, both of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norval Allsopp; daughter, Grace Diane Humes; sons, Dewayne and Robert Allsopp Sr.; grandson, Robert Allsopp Jr.; sister, Barbara Nichols; and brothers, William, Lorimar, Jack and Robert Silk.
Inurnment will take place in Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Cranberry Township, Pa.
Contributions in Mrs. Allsopp’s name are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 W. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119.
