Margaret V. "Margie" Spinner, age 80, a longtime Mentor resident, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Summerville Assisted Living in Mentor. She was born April 30, 1929, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Spinner was an office manager at Curtis Industries for many years prior to her retirement. She was an avid reader.
Survivors are her daughter, Barbara (John) Juratovac of Mentor; three sons, Eddie (Kathy) Spinner of St. Louis, Mo., Dennis Spinner of Dayton, and Michael (Cheryle) Spinner of Plainfield, Ind.; grandchildren, Heather (Tom) Benson, Andrew Juratovac, and Eddie and Brian Spinner; great-grandchildren, Justin and Kyle Benson; brother, Eugene (Roberta) Matty; and sister, Jean Pike.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Spinner; and brother, Ronald Matulewicz.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday July 23, 2009 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

Funeral Mass for Hazel "Cookie" Krenicky, age 71, of Mentor, a homemaker, will be 10 a.m. Friday February 25, 2005 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Mrs. Krenicky died Feb. 22, 2005, at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born July 1, 1933, in Cleveland, she lived in Mentor for past 43 years.
She enjoyed various crafts including ceramics, macrame, and taking care of others and her family. She was blessed with 50 years of holy matrimony to her husband, Edward, celebrating their anniversary Jan. 29, 2005.
Mrs. Krenicky worked at Mentor Way Care Center as an activities director for 15 years, retiring in 1989.
Survivors are her husband, Edward; children, Cheryl Russell of Painesville, Thomas (Carrie) Krenicky of Willoughby, Kat (Gary) McClintock of Madison and Joseph (Jeanne) Krenicky of Painesville; grandchildren, Robin and Kate Russell, Valerie and Shannon Krenicky and Fallon and Charlie McClintock; great-granddaughter, Lily; sisters, Harriet (Wayne) Bartow of Stow and Eleanor (Robert) Tchudy of Macedonia; and brothers, Thomas Humphrey of Millersburg and James (Linda) Humphrey of Tennessee.
Her brother, Theodore Humphrey, is deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.

Private family services will be held at a later date for Mary "Mitzi" Badza, 82, of Willoughby. Mrs. Badza died April 22, 2008, at her residence. She was born May 8, 1925, in Cleveland, she had lived in Mentor before moving to Willoughby 30 years ago.
Survivors are her children, Jacqueline Marincic of Rifle, Colo., Jean (Claude) Powali of Willowick and Bobby Marincic of Australia; grandchildren, Michael, Tina and Theresa; great-grandchildren, Madison and Andrew; brother, Raymond (Pat) Fidel; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Marincic; second husband, Robert Badza; parents, Frank and Kathrine Fidel; and brother, Frank Fidel.
Jane S. (Bolles) Black, age 94, of Mentor passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Emeritus in Mentor. She was born March 31, 1917, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Black was a secretary for many years at local insurance companies. She was an avid bridge player and golfer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy R. Black.
Survivors are her four nephews, Roger (Shyla) Yarhouse, Neil Yarhouse, Donald (Ruth) Bolles and David Bolles; stepdaughter, Dr. Mary Jane Black; and other family members.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Governor's Port, 8460 Westport Dr., Mentor.
The family will receive friends and host a reception following the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Governor's Port.

Funeral service for Grover C. Yeary, 77, of Mentor, will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mr. Yeary died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Jonesville, Va.
He enjoyed anything having to do with the outdoors, including fishing, sports, especially the Indians baseball team, OSU and the Browns football team. He loved watching his family's sporting events. He was known as Mr. Fix-It, because he enjoyed, and could fix, just about anything. He was a former paratrooper in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Yeary worked for Skidmore-Wilhelm, the former Tri-Con in South Euclid. He also worked for the Mentor Board of Education as a custodian and the Cleveland Schools as a bus driver.
Survivors are his wife of 35 years, Lynette; children, Annita Kerns of Arizona, Earl (Francine) Yeary of Florida, Marlene (Barry) McCoy of Arizona, Larry (Linda) Yeary of Middlefield, Brian (Wendy) Yeary and Shawn Yeary, both of Mentor; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlene Combs of Virginia and Margaret Frymier of Kirtland; and brother, Paul Yeary of Geneva. He was preceded in death by two sons, Blaine and Darrell; and five brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
Memorial service for Lisa M. (Eldredge) Ward, age 44, of Painesville, formerly of Mentor, will be 4 p.m. Monday June 4, 2007 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Ms. Ward died May 31, 2007. She was born Sept. 9, 1962, in Painesville.
Ms. Ward was a hairdresser. She was an avid Cleveland Cavs and Indians Fan. She loved spending time with her family and going to the beach. She was a 1980 Perry High School graduate where she played softball and basketball.
Survivors are her children, Noah and Dylan Ward of Painesville; mother, Roberta (Larry) Cavallaro of Garden City, S.C.; sisters, Susan Eldredge of Elgin, Ill. and Shari (William) Tuomala of Georgia; twin sister, Tina (fiance Brian Bedford) Ramey; and brother, Dennis (Jan) Eldredge of Springdale, Ark. She is also survived by uncles, Jon Wainio of California and Richard (Betty) McCrone of Madison; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, stepbrothers and stepsisters. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Eldredge; maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Virginia Wainio; and paternal grandparents, Helen and Nelson Eldredge.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.

James Eric Rolf, 58, of Perry died Saturday October 30, 2010 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. He was born October 2, 1952 in Potsdam, NY.
Jim served in the U.S. Army before being honorably discharged. He was a was a former Commander at AMVETS Post 1971 in Perry. He was the Director of Maintenance for Fieldstone Farm and he volunteered for Lake Metroparks. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking and fishing.
Survivors include his children Eric (Kirsten Harvey) & Katy (Bryan) Horton of both of Perry; maternal grandmother Helen O’Brien Gaines; grandchildren Kyle, Max, Brian and Kiara; brothers John (Holly Heckler), Jeffrey (Bonnie Martin); sisters Cecilia (Chuck) Duer, Catharine (Thomas) Beal & Cristin Rolf, MD (Christopher Hellmann); 17 nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank P. Rolf and Eleanor (nee Gaines); paternal grandparents Frank P. Rolf, Paula Rolf & maternal grandfather Harold ‘Sparky” Gaines.
Funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday November 4, 2010 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, family will receive friend from 4-8pm Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave.
Interment will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
