Memorial service for Minnie L. Lingo-McFarlane, age 79, of Painesville will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday July 12, 2004 at Brunner-Nixon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 176 N. State St., Painesville.
Following services, the family invites everyone to return to Union Community Church, 10959 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord Twp. for a luncheon.
Mrs. Lingo-McFarlane died Monday, July 5, 2004 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville. She was born December 22, 1924 in Louisville, Mississippi, she had lived in Painesville for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Lingo-McFarlane was a retired machine operator at Parker-Hannifin in East Cleveland.
She was a member Order of the Eastern Star; Member of Starlight Church in Cleveland where she was very active; Loved flowers and gardening; loved music, the Bible, reading, taking pictures and loved to travel.
Survivors include her husband Vincent of 13 years; son Jessie Floyd of Oklahoma City; daughter Ellen Floyd of Euclid; sisters Nellie M. Daily and Arlena McKinley both of Chicago; brother Sam (Ernestine) Daily of Michigan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; stepsons Marc McFarlane of Painesville and Vincent (Chung) McFarlane Jr. of Newport, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lynn P. and Ellen Daily; 7 brothers.
The family wishes to thank all those who have remembered through their prayers and deeds.
Memorial service for David R. Thomas, 61, of Madison, will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mr. Thomas died Friday, April 25, 2008, at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1947, in Uniontown, Pa., he had lived in Mentor before moving to Madison nine years ago.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and restoring his 1985 Mustang. He loved spending time with his pet Yorkie and Chihuahua. Mr. Thomas worked for PCC Airfoils for 31 years, retiring in 2005.
Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Diana; children, Tammy (Colby) Sigl of Perry, Dave (Chris) Thomas II of Mentor-on-the-Lake, and Ron Thomas (Linette Sullivan) of Madison; grandchildren, Summer, Skyler and Mikalah Sigl, Ronnie Thomas and Nick Sullivan; and sister, Sharon Thomas of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Thomas.

Services for Lee D. Myers, 67, of Leroy, a retired sheet metal fabricator, will be 10 a.m. Saturday July 31, 2004 at Grace Lutheran Church, 8091 Plank Road, Thompson.
Mr. Myers died July 28, 2004, at Heartland of Mentor.
Born June 4, 1937, in Croyle Township, Pa., he lived in Kirtland for 32 years before moving to Leroy 13 years ago.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thompson, and St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chester Township. He loved to garden, hunt, fish and enjoyed restoring many different items.
Mr. Myers worked at Reliance Electric in Euclid for 35 years before his retirement.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Lois (Croyle); daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Kenyon of Leroy and Cheryl Bean (Rick Verscheure) of Clarkston, Mich.; son, Bruce (Paula) Myers of Orrville; grandchildren, Derek, Paul and Mark Kenyon and Lee and David Myers; and brothers, Wendell (Fern) Myers of Summerhill, Pa. and Donald (Shirley) Myers of Fullerton, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Lula Myers; sister, Florene Hettle; and brother, Robert Myers.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.

Beloved husband of 33 years to Christine (Kavanaugh). Dearest father of Katy (Steven) Franklin, Scott Douglas Brian Wheeler. Dear son of D. Brian and Helen Wheeler and son in law of William and Kathryn Kavanaugh. Brother of Terry (Mandy) Wheeler and Dr. Keith (Sue) Wheeler.

Funeral Mass for Eugene "Gene" Politzer, age 81, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township. He will be celebrated by Fr. Pausche.
Mr. Politzer died Aug. 28, 2010, at Hospice House after a short battle with lung and bone cancer. He was born in Cleveland and has lived at his present home in Concord Township since 1963.
Gene was active in his community, having served for 22 years on the Lake County Planning Commission. He was a member of the Lake County RSVP program and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. He also volunteered for Lake Hospital System.
Gene was active in Concord Township government, having served on numerous committees, and was chairman of the 1996 Concord Comprehensive Plan Committee. Gene was honored for his service by being named Concord Citizen of the Year in 1994.
He was a charter member of St. Gabriel Parish and served on the first ever Parish Council by the founding pastor, Fr. Bernard Brady, and served again when called in 1994-95. Gene was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in a helicopter squadron during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1953.
Gene was retired from Bowman Distribution in Cleveland after a successful 33-year career in information systems.
Gene leaves behind Rita, his beloved wife of 60 years; daughters, Laura (Jack Melvin) Hart and Julie (Ed) Kunas; grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler and Michelle Hart, Megan Mahne and Molly Kunas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, Adel and Alex; brother, Lawrence; and grandson, Joseph Politzer, are deceased.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.

James J. Cahill, age 63, of Streetsboro since 2004 and formerly of Richmond Heights, died Oct. 22, 2010, at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Worcester, Mass.
Mr. Cahill, a U.S. Army veteran, was an assistant track coach at the former Regina High School in South Euclid. He attended St. Joan of Arc in Streetsboro and St. Paschal Baylon in Highland Heights, where he served as a lector. He was in the choir at both and was a part of the contemporary Christian play, "Compassion," which traveled to various churches in the area.
Mr. Cahill had worked as a controller for Rapid Maintenance Solutions, prior to that, he worked as a CPA for the former Synthetic Products in Cleveland.
Survivors include his daughter, Laura (Ted) Hoffman of Concord Township; grandson, Teddy Hoffman; brothers, Bob (Tilla) Cahill of Florida, Fran (Sharon) Cahill of Massachusetts and Rick (Brenda) Cahill of Massachusetts; and former wife, C.K. Cahill of Mentor-on-the-Lake. He is also survived by many other loving family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Cahill; parents, William and Marcelle Cahill and uncle, Fr. Fran Costa.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday October 26, 2010 at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights.

Funeral services for Marie "Peggy" (Frabotta) Schmidt, 80, of Lyndhurst, will be 11 a.m. Thursday July 29, 2004 at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Schmidt died July 23, 2004, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township. She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Cleveland, she had lived in Lyndhurst for 50 years.
She was a poll volunteer for South Euclid-Lyndhurst, a volunteer with the Lake County Humane Society, and a member of the Ladies Club. Mrs. Schmidt assisted the Blossom Hill Independent Living residents with painting and craft work. She enjoyed traveling, collecting nautical themed items and all types of jewelry. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Schmidt was an employee of Beachwood schools for several years, prior to that she worked for Hathaway Brown and Brush High School.
Survivors are her children, Cynthia Lynn (DeLoss H.) Martin of Mentor, Randolph Paul (Terri) Schmidt of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Pamela Marie Schmidt of Willoughby; grandchildren, Arny (Christina), Larissa, Sean, Stacey, Christopher, Patrick, Lance, and Derrick; cousins, Dorothy (Don) McCampbell and Bill Stahlnecker.
Her mother, Grace Stahlnecker; and father, William Frabotta, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
