Nick Onyshko, 80, of Mentor and formerly of Macedonia, passed away Thursday at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. He was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Johnstown, Pa.
Nick served in the U.S. Army before being honorably discharged.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (McElhaney); children, Robin (Mike) Brunkala of Mentor, Jeff Onyshko of Hiram and John Onyshko of Chester Township; grandchildren, Sarah, Caitlyn, Brooke and Alison; and sister, Mary Hersh of Johnstown, Pa. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Peter Jr., John, Mike, Pauline and Anna; and his parents, Peter and Nellie Onyshko Sr.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Eileen L. Kotol, age 95, of Mentor since 2007, formerly of Garfield Heights, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at Heartland of Mentor. She was born Aug. 10, 1915, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Kotol was a packer at Rolero in Garfield Heights for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and her trips to Las Vegas. Spending time with her family was most important to her. The family of Mrs. Kotol would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Heartland of Mentor and Heartland Hospice of Independence for their constant care and compassion during this difficult time.
Survivors are her children, Tom Kotol of Garfield Heights, Kathleen (Robert) Borden of Mentor and Tim (Leslie) Kotol of Broadview Heights; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Kotol Sr.; and son, John C. Kotol Jr.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.

Funeral service for Barbara C. Brown (Shannon), age 103, of Mentor will be held 10 a.m. Friday May 28, 2004 at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Ave. Mentor.
Mrs. Brown died Monday May 24, 2004 at Manor Care in Willoughby. She was born September 25, 1900 in Troon, Scotland, she had lived in Euclid before moving to Mentor 6 years ago.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Mentor United Methodist Church, Mentor, 50 year member of Order of the Eastern Star Scocia White Heather Lodge, loved caring for and raising children.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara (Richard) Shramo of Columbus; son John (Carol) Brown of Mentor; grandchildren Daniel, David & Patrick Shramo, James (Lora), William (Lauren) & Robert (Lisa) Brown; great-grandchildren; Nicole, William, Sydney, Grace, Jack & Lily.
She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Brown; sisters May Cashmore & Margaret Phillips; brother Samuel Shannon.
Family will receive friends Thursday 4-8 p.m. at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Servcie 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Order of the Eastern Star service will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Cleveland, Oh.
Private family services will be held for Mildred R. Corbett, 84, of West Hollywood, Calif.
Mrs. Corbett died May 18, 2004, in Los Angeles. She was born June 20, 1919, in Cleveland, she lived in Chagrin Falls for more than 30 years before moving to West Hollywood seven months ago.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed entertaining and gardening. She was a charter member and founding member of the Rockefeller Garden Club.
Survivors are her sons, Keith Corbett Jr. and Richard Corbett; and sister, Winifred Tighe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Keith Corbett; and sisters, Mary Louise Rousscau, Catherine Rousseau and Eleanor Miller.

Funeral services for Robert W. Distler, 70, of Willoughby, will be 6 p.m. Saturday May 22, 2004 at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Distler died May 20, 2004, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby. He was born May 26, 1933, in Cleveland, he had lived in Willoughby for the past 33 years, wintering at his home in Cape Coral, Fla.
He was a 1952 graduate of Collinwood high School and was a member of Collinwood Memories Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion in Willoughby. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Northeast Ohio Walleye Association.
Mr. Distler was a driver and manager for U.P.S., retiring after 33 years of service.
Survivors are his wife of 23 years and reunited for the past four years Dolores (Ciborek); daughter, Amy (Ron) Richards of Willowick; sons, Robert E. (Anita) of Willoughby and Richard J. of Willoughby; grandchildren, Ashley, Jake, Rachael, John, Lindsey, Ronnie and Catie; mother, Molly Distler of Euclid; brother, Eugene (Virginia) Distler of Richmond Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
His granddaughter, Megan, is deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

A private service will be held for Jewel "Tuttie" Dreher, 80, of Mentor.
Mrs. Dreher died May 21, 2044, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby. She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Cleveland, she lived in Mentor for the past 44 years.
She loved taking car rides where she could enjoy the nature and scenery. She loved animals and doing ceramics.
Mrs. Dreher worked for Altercare of Mentor in Concord Township from 1991 to 2002 as the activity coordinator.
Survivors are her daughter, Darlene (Ralph) Perko of Mentor; grandchildren, James (Mary) Mosher of Sagamore Hills, William (Tamra) Mosher of California; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Tyler Mosher and brother-in-law and companion, Raymond Braidic of Florida.
Her husband, William D. Dreher in 2001; brother, Pete Helphenstine; sister, Dolly Helphenstine; and sister-in-law, Helen Braidic.
Entombment will be in Whitehaven Cemetery in Mayfield Village.
Memorial Mass for J. Dennis Landers, 62, of Painesville, will be 10 a.m. Saturday May 22, 2004 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, in Concord Township. Please meet at the church.
Mr. Landers died May 15, 2004, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby. He was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Cleveland, he lived in Painesville Township before moving to Painesville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He also enjoyed computers and was an avid reader.
Mr. Landers worked as a timekeeper at Bud Industry in Willoughby for 10 years.
Survivors are his stepdaughter, Jennifer Lazor of Eastlake; brothers, William (Phyllis) Landers of Concord Township, and Lawrence (Bonnie) Landers of Painesville Township; sister, Virginia (James) Stevens of Georgetown, Texas; nieces and nephews, James Landers, Jeffrey (Megan) Landers, Christine (Jaime) Salcedo, Michael Landers, and Rachel, Sarah, and Ryland Stevens.
His wife, Catherine C.; and parents, Joseph D. and Marcelline Landers, are deceased.
Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
