Funeral service for Daniel J. Moran, age 91, of Painesville Twp. will be held 8:30 p.m. Monday July 28, 2003 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Graveside service will be held 12 p.m. at Blendon Central Cemetery, 6330 S. Hempstead Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43081. Section D.
Mr. Moran died Saturday July 26, 2003 at his residence.
He was born October 7, 1911 in New Orleans, La., he had lived in New Orleans, LA., Richmond Va. and Columbus before moving to Painesville Twp.
Mr. Moran was a district sales manager for former Myrtle Desk Company in Highpoint, N.C. for 18 years retiring in 1979, prior to that he worked for the Boling Chair Company in Siler City, N.C. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church in New Orleans for 45 years also attended St John’s Lutheran Church in New Orleans, Bethlehem Lutheran church in Richmond Va., Zion Lutheran church in Columbus and Zion Lutheran church in Painesville.
Survivors include his daughter Kathleen Moran of Painesville Twp; son Daniel (Catherine Marshall) Moran of Marina, Ca.; sister-in-laws Ruthie McMichaels and Dorothy Grosse and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Esther.
Family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral service for Lori (Sedar) M. Morrison, age 33, a lifetime resident of Eastlake are pending for Saturday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Morrison died Tuesday July 15, 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born May 10, 1970 in Willoughby.
Mrs. Morrison was a sales associate for Wal-Mart in Mentor for the past 4 years, prior to that she had worked as an assembler at the Dirt Devil plant. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and 2 sons as well as cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 7 years Reggie; sons Derek and Tyler; sisters Debbie Sedar of Willoughby and Donna (Rick) Omerza; brother Walt Edelburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ilis Sedar.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family of John C. Opp, age 55 of Concord Twp. will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Saturday July 12, 2003 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Opp died Wednesday, July 9 at University Hospital, Cleveland.
He was born April 26, 1948 in Cleveland, he was a lifelong Concord Twp. resident.
Mr. Opp worked as a laborer and LD Operator for General Electric for 34 years. He loved golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his wife: Dianne Colagross; daughters: Janette (Matthew) Hanula of Eastlake, Laurie Moriarity of Mentor, Lynda Colagross of Mentor and Christina (Nader) Soliman of Mentor; three grandchildren: Danielle Hanula, Zachary Colagross and Nathan Soliman; and brother: Robert (Judy) Opp of Eastlake.
His parents,Carl and Gladys Opp, are deceased.

Peter Scherbak, 88, of Mentor for the past 60 years, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Golden Living in Kirtland. He was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Minsk, Belarus.
Mr. Scherbak worked at Merkel & Sons Greenhouse as a boiler operator from 1952, until his retirement. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors are his children, Nina (Russell) Oinonen of Mentor and Michael (Sherry) Scherbak of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, David, Michael (Wendy), Laura Oinonen, Christopher and Darci Scherbak; and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Paige and Mitchell Oinonen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria; his parents; and siblings.
Funeral services will 1 p.m. Wednesday August 18, 2010 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday. Interment will be held at Mentor Cemetery.

Graveside services for Elmer G. Buchs, age 81, of Grand River will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 2003 at Evergreen Cemetery, 501 E. Main St., Painesville, Division B.
Mr. Buchs died July 10, 2003 at Homestead II Nursing Facility in Painesville.
He was born May 6, 1922 in Marlboro, Ohio, he lived in Grand River for more than 50 years.
Mr. Buchs worked for Diamond Alkali Company for 30 years retiring in 1976 and then for Ohio Rubber Company in Willoughby for 10 more years.
A US Army WWII Veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post #336 in Painesville and enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise (nee Borden); (1) daughter: Sherri (Ronald) Liggett of Madison; (4) sons: Rex (Diane) Buchs of Painesville, Gary (Linda) Buchs of Painesville, Kevin (Michelle) Buchs of Fairport Harbor and Eric (Laurie) Buchs of Fostoria; (5) grandchildren: Lisa, Christopher (Jenny) Liggett, Donovan (Jennifer) Buchs and Aaron and Rachel Buchs; (3) step-grandchildren: Rhonda (Karl) Kropko and Heather and Lynne Irvine and (5) great grandchildren: Cody, Logan, Jon, Tyler and Cole and (1) step great grandson: Matthew; brother: Irvin (Norma) Buchs of N. Benton and sister: Irene Collier of Chardon and many nieces and nephews.
His brothers Ernie and Howard Buchs are deceased.

Funeral Mass for Cindy (Hamski) Moscato, 50, of Mentor, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township. Mrs. Moscato died Monday, May 5, 2008, at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born Feb. 8, 1958, in Cleveland, she had lived in Columbus, Chardon, Lyndhurst and Garfield Heights before moving to Mentor 23 years ago.
Mrs. Moscato was a 1976 graduate of Brush High School and received her B.S. in nursing from The Ohio State University. She was a member of St. Gabriel Church in Concord Township. She was a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic Colonoscopy Center in Cleveland, and a former nurse at Notre Dame Healthcare in Chardon, University Mednet in Mentor and the former Mount Sinai in Cleveland. She loved caring for people, cardio workouts, yoga, skiing, scrapbooking, theatre, choir and tennis.
Survivors are her husband of 26 years, Neal Moscato; three children, Brittany Lynne Moscato of Orlando, Fla., Caitlin Moscato of Mentor and Sarah Moscato of Mentor; parents, Norm and Barb Hamski of Jefferson; brothers, Rick (Karen) Hamski, Ron (Missy) Hamski and Rob (Stefanie) Hamski, all of Jefferson; nieces, Brenna, Ashley, Kaly, Natalie, Samantha, Nicole, Christine, Jennifer, Meredith and Marianne; nephews, Michael and Dominic; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Mary Moscato; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Louie) Guagenti; and brother-in-law, Jim (Chris) Moscato, all of Lima.

Memorial service for Jurgen Von Tresckow, age 52, of Kirtland, will be 11 a.m. Friday November 5, 2010 at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills, 44094. Mr. Von Tresckow died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born Sept. 10, 1958, in Frankfurt, Germany, and moved to the United States at the age of 16 as a student.
He received his master's degree in Public Administration. Mr. Von Tresckow was a program development specialist at Deepwood Center. He enjoyed biking, hiking, walking his dog and skiing. He was a ski instructor for Brandy Wine and coached skiing in the Special Olympics. He was an active member of the Ohio Education Association on the state and local levels. Jurgen was a 30-year member of Willoughby Hills Friends Church.
Survivors are his wife, Kathleen (nee Borovich); brother, Konrad (Dena) Von Tresckow; sister, Margaret Boemke; parents, Rudiger and Mechthild Von Tresckow; mother-in-law, Elsie Borovich; sisters-in-law, Debbie McKinney and Carol Kaye; nephews, Eric and Jesse; and niece, Jessica. Nadine and the late Harry Percival, Jim, Joel, Jeff and Sarah Wichman.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
