Herbert E. Dillinger
Herbert E. Dillinger, 84, of Bartlett, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Marietta Rehab Center.
He was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Nelsonville, a son of the late Herbert E. and Lucy A. Mansfield Dillinger.
Mr. Dillinger was a radio operator/communications for Capitol and United Airlines for 35 years. He attended Bartlett High School and Ohio State University and was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church, Capitol Airlines Retired Employees Association, Bartlett Senior Citizens, Bartlett Cinch Club, and Bartlett Horseshoe Pitchers.
He is survived by his widow, Norma A. Stacks Dillinger, whom he married June 11, 1974; one step-daughter, Brenda Holby of Southbridge, MA; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Dwight and Meredith; and one sister, Esther Wilson.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Rev. Helen Kline officiating.
Burial was in Bartlett Cemetery.

Ronald Jack Herrmann
Ronald Jack Herrmann, 65, of Malta, died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Bellingham, WA, a son of the late Alva Gayle.
Mr. Herrmann was a proud member of the United States Army for 18 years and was a member of OV-1 Mohawk Association, and was later a member of the VFW. He was a sales representative for RMAX Inc. of Dallas, TX.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joan Kenney Herrmann; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Jim and Christy of Florida, Joe of the home, Jeff and friend, Raylee of Malta, Jerry and Toni of South Carolina, and John and friend, Kim of South Carolina; a daughter, Judy (Mike McPeak) of McArthur; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Brad and Jerry; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family members; and two dear friends, Anna Mae and Missy.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McKendree Cemetery, near McConnelsville with military rites by the Morgan County Veterans.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Starkey memorial service
A memorial service will be held Gary Starkey II beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at the home of Karolyn Starkey, 4559 St. Rt. 669, McConnelsville.
Everyone who knew him, is invited to come and share a memory with his family.
Starkey died as the result of an accident at his home on Saturday, June 7, 2003.
Ronald L. Knox
Ronald Leroy Knox, 58, of Zanesville, died at 1:58 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003, at his home.
He was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Morgan County, a son of Christine Best Knox of McConnelsville and the late Bernard Knox.
Mr. Knox was a machine roll operator for Owens-Corning Fiberglass Co. He was a member of the Meigs Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge in McConnelsville and loved to build cars for the Demolition Derby.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his widow, Ethel Binkley Knox, of the home, whom he married April 6, 1973; four daughters, Rebecca Pruitt of Jasper, AL, Ethel Knox, Christy Knox, and Ronda Knox, all of Zanesville; three sons, Ronald and Bernard Knox, both of Zanesville, and Brent Masterson of Jasper, AL; six grandchildren, Ronald Steven Thomas, Brittany Thomas, Kevin Smith, and Mark Knox of Zanesville, and Kaleb Pruitt and Cody Masterson of Jasper, AL; five sisters, Joan Davis of Canton, Eileen Ralston and Donna Sands, both of Zanesville, Mary Fleming of McConnelsville, and Bernita Smith of Pennsville.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There was no funeral service, and a caring cremation took place.

Delma E. Jackson
Delma E. Jackson, 92, of McConnelsville, formerly of Blue Rock, died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at Mark Rest Center.
She was born July 15, 1911, in Washington County, a daughter of the late Henry E. and Myrtle Sellers Norris.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ethel and Ronald Wyer of Blue Rock; and two grandchildren, Ronald P. Wyer Jr. and Ethel D. Wyer, both of Zanesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hillis and Hardwick Funeral Home in Zanesville.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Terry Newman officiating.
Burial will be in Barnett Ridge Cemetery, Belpre.
Elsie J. Koehnle
Elsie June Patterson Koehnle, 69, of 6589 N. SR 669, McConnelsville, died at 4:29 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born June 21, 1934, in Enon Valley, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond J. and Edrie Wiley Patterson.
Mrs. Koehnle was a retired school bus driver and was a member of The Living Word Assembly of God Church. She was also a past member of Madison Grange 819 of Madison, where she was a lecturer for four years.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Frank L. Koehnle, Sr.; five sons, Frank L. Jr. and Violet Koehnle , David E. Sr. and Wanda Koehnle, and Patrick O. Sr. and Brenda Koehnle, all of McConnlesville, Raymond C. Sr. and Beverly Koehnle of East Fultonham, and B. Rex and Connie Conley of South Zanesville; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Ray Patterson, and William H. Patterson; step-brother, Thomas Torcie of Zanesville; and step-sister, Carol Lavinski of Dresden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-sister, Jean Elizabeth Swisher.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday), at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at the Living Word Assembly of God Church in Gaysport, with Revs. Melvin Sydebotham and Floyd Loy officiating.
Burial will be in McConnels-ville Cemetery.
Aiden John Short
Aiden John Short, 2 weeks, died at 3:29 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Children's Hospital in Columbus.
He was born July 18, 2003, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus to John and Erica “Kati” Short.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one twin sister, Halle Ann Short; paternal grandparents, Sandy and John Short of Union City, OH; maternal grandparents, Mitchell and Rhonda Mayle of McConnelsville; paternal great-grandmother, Odine Starbuck of Union City, IN; maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Gloria Mayle of Chesterhill and Iva L. Mayle of Zanesville.
Service will be held at a later date in McConnelsville Cemetery.
Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville was in charge of arrangements.
Harold C. Eddleblute
Harold C. Eddleblute, 75, of Newark, died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at Autum Health Care in Newark.
He was born June 1, 1928, in Stockport, a son of the late Delbert and Virgie Rowland Eddleblute.
Mr. Eddleblute was a construction worker and retired from DCSC where he was a general personal assistant. He was a WW II and Korean Conflict Air Force veteran, and a member of the United Methodist Church in East Fultonham.
He is survived by one son, Ronald (Jean Schwarz) Eddleblute of Columbus; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sarah Jo Eddleblute of Newark, Debbie and Jimmie James of Reynoldsburg, and Marta and Tim Murphy of Pataskala; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Karen Eddleblute of Vienna, WV; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Charlotte Milnor; and a special caregiver, Susan Brawler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Imogene Hemmeger Eddleblute; two brothers, Carroll and Clyde Eddleblute; and a sister, Janet Ohlinger.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral Home with Evangelist Harry Welch officiating.
Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
