Memorial service for Sylvia M. (Johoda) Lacey, age 90, of Painesville Twp. will be held 7 p.m. Thursday March 27 at Lake Med Nursing & Rehabilitation Center 70 Normandy Dr. Painesville Twp., with Pastor Stephen Spence officiating.
Mrs. Lacey died Sunday March 23, Lake Med Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Painesville Twp.
She was born April 16, 1912 Cleveland, Oh., she had lived in Mentor on the Lake before moving to Painesville Twp. 4 years ago.
Mrs. Lacey was a member of Bible Community Church in Mentor, loved to travel, read and classical music.
Survivor include her husband of 49 years Robert G. Lacey of Painesville Twp.
She was preceded in death by her parents Barney and Anna Johoda and 2 brothers.
Interment Highland Park Cemetery, Cleveland.

Funeral service for Kenneth O. “Did” Lette, Sr., age 72 of Mentor will be held Wednesday, April 9, 8:30 p.m. at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor.
Mr. Lette died Friday, April 4, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Mentor on Oct. 15, 1930, he lived in Painesville Township before moving back home to Mentor just fifteen months ago.
He worked as Head of Maintenance for the City of Painesville Light Plant for more than 20 years retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Rod & Gun Club in Geneva where he enjoyed the Turkey Shoot and enjoyed racing and building stock cars at Painesville Speedway racing #09.
Survivors are his daughters: Vicki Tomlinson of Mentor, LuAnne Lette (fiancé Chuck Bolden, Jr.) of Mentor, Evie (Dave) Simmons of Painesville; sons: Ken Jr. (Marcy) Lette of Mentor and Gary (Terry) Lette of League City, Texas; thirteen grandchildren: Patrick, Dawn, Brandi, Lance, Mallory, Heidi, Heather, Sarah, Danielle, Chuckie, Chadd, Garrette and Monica; three great grandchildren: Hunter, Anthony and Christian; 3 sisters: Louise (Jack) Yeager of Concord, June (Dan) Rife of Mentor, Carol Ann (Jerry) Reynolds of Painesville; 4 brothers: Ralph (Vivienne) of Perry, John of Mentor, David (Carolyn) of Eastlake and Harold (Dolly) Lette of Painesville; sister in law Mary Lette of Painesville and brother in law Ralph Reed of Fairport Harbor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Lette; sister: Virginia Reed; sister in law: Kay Lette, brother: Donald Lette; former wife Kenna Lou Justinger and grandchild: Sydney Chase Lette-Bolden.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral mass for Helen C. Lorek, age 82, of Mentor will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Lorek died Monday March 17, 2003 at Lake Hospital System in Painesville.
She was born June 12, 1920 in Cleveland, she had lived in Eastlake before moving to Mentor in 1974.
Mrs. Lorek was a baker in the dietary department at Lake Hospital system in Willoughby. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Mentor.
Survivors include her sons William (Mary Alice) Lorek of Fla. and David (Kathy) Lorek of Fostoria; daughter in law Renee Lorek of Kirtland Hills; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Marie (Piney) Darrow and Rita Wilkes.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; son Richard; sisters Ann, Theresa, Loretta and Florence; brother John.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Private family services will be held Renee E. Gibbs, age 80 of Mentor.
Mrs. Gibbs died Tuesday, March 11 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville.
She was born January 18, 1923 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was a lifelong Mentor resident.
Mrs. Gibbs was an executive secretary for Gould Company and the Clevite Corporation for 30 years retiring in 1982.
She was past president for the former Greater Cleveland Secretary’s Association and a member of the Mentor United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher until 1997 at the age of 74.
Survivors are her husband of 21 years, James A. Gibbs, daughters: Linda Lee (Carl) Kurz of Katy, Texas., Cheryl Renee (Michael) Getzy of Concord Twp., grandchildren: Renee, Wendy, Mark, Kym, and Rick; great grandchildren: Darian, Remy, Cole and Maddy; Sister: Josephine Digby of Lakewood and brother Lloyd Powell of Phoenix, Arizona.
Her son, Jack Logan, grandsons Michael and Billy and brother Bobby Powell preceded her in death.
Family will receive friends at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor from 2-6 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service for Alberta Georgia (Toll) O’Connell Heth, age 91, of Painesville Twp., will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio.
Mrs. Heth died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
She was born Jan. 12, 1912 in East Cleveland, and had lived in Painesville Twp. the past 47 years.
Mrs. Heth was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking and growing flowers and vegetables.
She is survived by her sons James Heth of Painesville Twp., Ronald (Agnes) O’Connell of Houston, Texas, Grandchildren – Theresa Waring, Laura (Michael) Baciu, Thomas O’Connell, Jeffrey (Jennifer) O’Connell, Elizabeth O’Connell, Kelly O’Connell, Angela Campbell, and Great-grandchildren – Nicholas, Meghan, Courtney, and Jennifer.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Raymond Heth, and Parents Albert and Minnie Toll.
Family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside service for Homer J. Hill Jr., U.S. Army WWII veteran, age 81, a lifelong Lake County resident will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Rd., Mentor (Section 22, lot 90) Please meet at the grave.
Mr. Hill died Friday, April 04, 2003 at Mentor-Way Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mentor.
He was born October 27, 1921 in Olean, New York.
Mr. Hill was a lifelong machinist. Volunteer fireman for City of Mentor in the 1960s.
Survivors include his daughter Cynthia (Dennis) Granc of Ravenna; sons Homer J. Hill III of Mentor-on-the-Lake and Gregory R. (Rose) Hill of Willoughby; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd Hill of Willoughby.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Hill; sisters Ethel Houghtailing and Laura Lette.
Emma Vodila, age 88, of Concord Township for the past four years, formerly of Euclid, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Altercare of Mentor. She was born July 26,1922, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Vodila was a homemaker and also was a cook at Reliance Electric in Euclid and Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe.
Survivors are her sons, Stephen J. (Tanya) Vodila of Kingston, Tenn. and Gary (Marie) Vodila of Concord Township; grandchildren, Shawn (Cindy) Vodila, Christina (Jim) Stanko, Stephanie (Derrick) Henderson, Ben (fiancée, Ashley Atkinson) Vodila, and Amber (Nester) Dalto; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Albert (Janice) Yambor of Dorset.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Vodila; daughter; two brothers, Zolton and Gaza Jambor; and four sisters; Sarah Dietz, Helen Kloczko, Irene Salvatore and Margaret Jambor.
Graveside services will be at Williamsfield Cemetery in Williamsfield at a later date.
