William W. "Bill" Wilde, age 86, of Mentor, died July 31, 2010. William was a lifelong resident of Lake County.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving his term in the South Pacific.
He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Melrose); loving father of Jeffrey (Terri) Wilde, Debra (Ante) Kardum, and Lorraine (Stan Fleshman) Wilde; dearest grandfather of Monika (John) Sisa, Andrew (Katie) Kardum, Jennifer (Cory Kovach) Hinkle, Anthony (Samantha) Kardum, Melanie (Tommy Missus) Kardum and Benjamin Wilde; and dearest great-grandfather of Alan Sisa, William Sisa and Grant Missus.
A private funeral service for the family will be held at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Mentor on Wednesday, August 4. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
Robert & Evelyn Buzbee, of Mentor, died from injuries sustained from an automobile crash that occurred on Oct 27, 2002. Evelyn Buzbee, 79, died soon after the wreck on the 27th. Robert, 78, died on December 17th in the Cleveland VA Hospital after weeks in Intensive Care.
Evelyn was born August 20, 1923 in Laredo, MO. Robert was born June 26, 1924 in Fredericktown, MO.
Robert and Evelyn, separately served in the Navy during WWII. They met at the University of Missouri where they received their bachelors degrees (Evelyn in Accounting and Robert in Journalism) and were married in June of 1948. They lived in Texas, Missouri and Kentucky before moving to Mentor in 1963.
They were active members of Mentor Christian Church since 1963 serving in a wide variety of capacities. Evelyn served as Deaconess, teacher, CWF officer, church historian and co-author of the church's Sesquicentennial Scrapbook. She was one of the organizing members of the Lake County Meals on Wheels program. She used her considerable artistic talents throughout her church life in the various craft groups and to create a hand drawn gallery of all the former pastors of the church.
Robert served as Elder, Deacon, Trustee, teacher, worship leader, board financial secretary and was a member of the church choir for over 20 years.
Evelyn held various accounting positions, most recently with the Lake County Mental Health Center. Robert was Business Manager for the Painesville Telegraph and Cleveland Jewish News. Both had been enjoying their retirement for many years.
Evelyn enjoyed travel and American history. Robert enjoyed golf and was a ranger at Fairway Pines CC.
Robert and Evelyn are survived by their son, Ken and his wife Arlene of Mentor; their grandchildren, Samantha and Joshua of Mantua and Evelyn's sister, Marian Campbell of Trenton, MO.
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan 4th at 2pm at Mentor Christian Church with a private burial to follow.

Funeral mass for Anne Callahan, age 57, of Concord Twp. will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gabriel Church 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord Twp.
Mrs. Callahan died Monday, January 13, 2003 at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus.
She was born May 25, 1945 in Binghamton, New York.
Mrs. Callahan was a teacher at St. Gabriel School and a member of St. Gabriel Church in Concord Twp. She graduated from Darien High School in Connecticut. She earned degrees from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and Boston University in Boston.
She was a former board member of Lake Geauga Headstart; active in 4-H and equestrian events in Lake County in the past years; loved to teach her students about dinosaurs and the natural world. In the past years she enjoyed skiing, tennis, riding and hiking.
Survivors include her daughter Kerry Callahan of Concord Twp.; son Rory (Amy McLanahan) Callahan of Upper Arlington, Ohio; grandchildren Evan and Emma Callahan; former husband Dennis Callahan of Kirtland Hills and their friend Jamie Carpenter of Willoughby; mother Barbara Batten of Saratoga Springs, New York; sisters Kathryn Oppedisano of Saratoga Springs, New York and Mary Preston of Wilton, Connecticut; nieces Rebecca Preston of London, England and Samantha Preston of Whitefish, Montana; nephew Ian (Nina) Preston of Long Island City, New York.
She was preceded in death by her father Fred Batten.
Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Inurnment will be private.

Funeral mass for Elizabeth J. (Eberle) Zames of Concord Twp. for 33 years formerly Lafayette, Indiana, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at St Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd, Concord Twp.
Mrs. Zames died Thursday November 21, 2002 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Mrs. Zames was a realtor in the area for 20 years, most recently with Realty One, member of St Gabriel Catholic Church, Concord Twp.
Survivors husband of 42 years Robert, daughters Kelly Zames, Cheri Zames and Leigh (Dean) Orbell of Woodbridge, VA.; Sisters Mary Margaret (Donald) Mortell Kankakee, ILL, Catherine (Wes) Lods of Lafayette, IN, Bernadine (Fred) Lux of Lafayette, IN and Rita (Lynn) Cooper of Carmel, IN; Brothers John (Mary) Eberle of W Lafayette, IN and Robert (Sue) Eberle of Lafayette, IN; Many nieces and nephews who adored her.
She was preceded in death by parents Walter and Rita Eberle.

Funeral service Rose M. (Stegh) Schock, age 84, will be held Monday at a time and place to be announced.
Mrs. Schock died Thursday at Grand Pointe Nursing Home in Richmond Heights.
She was born Jan. 4, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio she lived most of her life in Mayfield Hieghts and Highland Heights.
Mrs. Schock was retired from Sherman Baron Insurance Co. in Mayfield Heights where she was a bookkeeper for 23 years. She was a founding member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, and is a member of Fellowship United Church of Christ in Willowick.
Her life was taking care of her family and her home.
She is survived by her Son Christian (Susan) Schock of Eastlake, Daughters – Cyndi (Dan) Brotherson of Price, Utah, and Claudia (Ed) Pollock of Mentor, Grandchildren: Christian (Lori), Katie, Edgar, Carl, Keith, Joanie (Kim), Robert, Richard (Wendy), and John, 3 Great-grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her husband – Carl Schock, Daughter – Cheryl Schock, Son – Karl Schock, Brothers – Joseph and Christian Stegh.
Interment Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.

Marguerite F. Caton, age 86, of Mentor for the past 48 years, formerly of Elyria, a homemaker, went home to be with her Savior Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Elyria.
She was a member of Bible Community Church in Mentor, loved reading, and was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be dearly missed.
Survivors are her daughter, Laura (Mark) Hatt of Mentor; stepdaughter, Cathy Caton of Florida; granddaughters, Janeen and Lindsey Hatt and Connie Hobson; brother, Charles (Bea) Schaffer of Elyria; and sister-in-law, Florence (Jerome) Hinkel of Mentor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Caton.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday October 29, 2010 at Bible Community Church, 8600 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial service for Leonard T. Skeggs, Jr. Ph. D., age 84, of Kirtland will be held Monday 10:30 a.m. at Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church, 34201 Eddy Rd., Willoughby Hills.
Mr. Skeggs died Wednesday December 4, 2002 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was born June 9, 1918 in Fremont, Ohio, he lived in Strongsville before moving to Kirtland 36 years ago.
A medical investigator in Hypertension for the Veterans administration from 1947 – 1982, also a Professor Emeritus, department of biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. His life touched millions of people, most of them benefited from his medical research into an artificial kidney, his work on high blood pressure and his invention of the AutoAnalyzer, a revolutionary way to perform a battery of blood tests. His field of work with Hypertension led to the development of Ace-inhibitor blood pressure medication.
Chief executive officer of the Zinc Air Power Corporation in Cleveland. He was on the board of trustees for the Lake County (Ohio) YMCA, Grand River Academy, in Austinburg and The Holden Arboretum, in Mentor.
He attended Youngstown College from 1936 – 1940 and Western Reserve University, Department of Biochemistry in Cleveland, where he received his Ph. D. in Biochemistry in 1948. He received his D. Sc. (Honorary) from Youngstown State University in 1960 and his D. Humane Letters (L.H.D.), (Honorary) from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1980.
He holds 24 patents ranging from biochemistry to breeding fish. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, receiving the Purple Heart. An avid horseman, gardener, wood worker and master chef.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jean (Hossel); children Laura (Michael) Tradowsky of Kirtland, David (Cynthia) Skeggs of Kirtland and Josephine (Loren) Naji of Twin Lakes; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Frances Ella Skeggs; sister Elizabeth Aubrey; brother David Skeggs.
