The Funeral Mass for Jerry J. Intorcio, age 83, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, October 25, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe.
Mr. Intorcio, beloved husband, father and brother, passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2010, in Denver, Colo. At his side were his three children. A Cleveland native, he graduated from Collinwood High School in February 1945. Soon thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II. He was deployed to Japan where he served as a member of the U.S. Army Occupational Forces. Following two years of service to his country, he returned to Cleveland and enrolled at John Carroll University, where he majored in English. He was awarded his bachelor's of arts degree from John Carroll in 1951 and later earned a master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University.
In 1963, Mr. Intorcio began his career in teaching at Cleveland St. Joseph High School (VASJ). He taught English, journalism and Latin. He also served as the varsity golf coach -- taking the team to the state tournament in the early 70s. Throughout his life, Jerry was also an accomplished musician and an accordionist. In 1966, he married Maureen Wunderle, a Catholic school teacher, and the couple settled in Euclid. A year later he moved his family to Willowick, where they raised their three children. After 26 years at St. Joseph, Mr. Intorcio retired from teaching and pursued his love of golf.
At the age of 77, and more than 11 years after his wife Maureen's death, he relocated to Denver, Colo. to be near his daughter and son-in-law. Known and loved by his family for his positive attitude and sense of humor, Jerry's tenacity and resilience in the midst of serious health challenges is an inspiration to his loving family and all those who knew him. He was a dedicated member of the DAV, the American Legion, Local 4 of the American Federation of Musicians, and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors are his children, Thomas, Edward, and Mary Jo (Eric) Gerd, all of Denver, Colo.; grandsons, Maximilian and Charles; sister, Doris Pette of Willoughby Hills; and his brother, Robert Intorcio of Willoughby.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060. The rite of Christian burial will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

Memorial mass for Dominic T. Federico, age 88, of Mentor will be held 11a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Federico died at his residence Thursday December 5, 2002.
He was born January 22, 1914 in Matrice, Italy, he lived in Euclid before moving to Mentor in 1975.
A retired tool & die maker for Lincoln Electric, where he worked for 38 years, retiring in 1979 He was a member of Madison Country Club for 21 years, a former member of St. Felicitas Church, Euclid and currently a member of St Mary Church, Mentor.
Survivors include his wife Antoinette “Babe” (Gambatese); 3 children Frank (Valerie) Federico of Mentor, Patricia (Jerome) Sheehan of Seattle, Wa., and Kathleen (Roger) Munson of Mentor; 10 grandchildren: Audrey (Tom) Joyce, Amy (Wm.) Young, Lisa (Joel) Bozano, Tina Federico, Kathleen (Ed) Burgess, Erin & Michael Sheehan, Adam (Maureen) Munson , Anthony & Max Munson; 4 great-grandchildren; Monica, Matthew, Joseph & Francis; Brother Joseph (Florence) Federico South Euclid; Sister; Frances Grand S. Euclid
He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers; Anthony & Louis Federico.

Funeral service for William “Bill” Leonard Davis, age 74, of Painesville Twp. will be held 11a.m. Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor.
Mr. Davis died Monday November 18, 2002 at his residence.
He was born November 12, 1928 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he lived in Concord Twp. before moving to Painesville Twp. 3 years ago.
Mr. Davis was a production supervisor at GM for 30 years retiring in 1983, and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of George Hayward VFW Post 9295 in Mentor, attended Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church in Painesville, avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife Myrtlene C. Davis; daughters Yulonda (Bruce) Stevenson of Hartsgrove and Tammy (Jeff) Brown of Birmingham, Alabama; sons Peter (Sherry) Davis of Cleveland and Michael (Rose) Davis of Concord; grandchildren Peter Jr, Amanda, Anthony (Bonnie), Michael Jr, Matthew, Nancy and Cynthia, Bruce Jr., Chad, Davis and Madison; great-grandchildren Brianna and Alexia, 3 sisters Jewell (Millard) McGee, Christine (Dewey) Jenkins and Marie Fowler.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Autis Holeman, Mattie Porter and Maxine Collins and brother, Hannis Davis.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Stephen E. Malenda, age 77, of Mentor will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Malenda died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Lake Hospital Systems in Willoughby.
He was born May 14, 1925 in Belle Valley, Ohio.
Mr. Malenda was a retired longshoreman from the port of Cleveland. He loved golf, sports, hunting, and fishing. U.S. Army Air Corp. Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Mary of 52 years; sons Edward Malenda of Frackville, PA and Thomas Malenda of Mentor; daughter Mary Zalokar of Mansfield; grandchildren Thomas (Kristy) Malenda and Tessa (Jason) Kuntz; great-grandchildren Kellin, Jacob, and Joseph Malenda.
He was preceded in death by his son Timothy John Malenda; brothers Joseph, Andrew, and Michael Malenda; sisters Helen Vincent, Ann Kovach, Marie Mazgay, Martha Pachasa.
Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral mass for Alberta “Bertie” McMullen, age 84, of Mentor will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mrs. McMullen died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 28, 1918 in Monessen, Pa, and lived in Ashtabula 32 years before moving to Mentor 12 years ago.
She had worked for Millbrook Bread in Ashtabula for 12 years as a manager. She was a member of the Teamsters Local # 19, a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church, and loved collecting Beanie Babies, Bears and had over 400 precious moments figurines.
She is survived by: Daughters – Geraldine “Dee” McMichael of Mentor, Susan (Tim) Square of Madison, Christine McMullen of Mentor, Son – Dennis (Barbara) McMullen of Sun Lakes, Arizona, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, and parents – John S. and Emily Beaumont.

Funeral mass for Angel Pacheco Miranda, age 49, of Painesville will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church 242 N. State St. Painesville, Oh.
Mr. Miranda died Sunday November 3, 2002 at his sister’s residence in Chicago, Ill.
He was born June 15, 1953 in El Saus De Armenta GTO, Mexico, he lived in Leon GTO, Mexico before moving to Painesville 25 years ago.
Mr. Mirnada was a laborer for Penn-Ohio Nursery in Perry for the past 12 years. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Painesville and he loved fishing & playing pool.
Survivors include his wife Horalia Pacheco Marquec of Leon GTO, Mexico; daughters Sandra Pacheco Marquec of Painesville, Martha Pacheco Marquec of Leon GTO, Mexico, Araceli Pacheco Marquec of Painesville and Gabriela Pacheco Marquec of Leon GTO, Mexico; sons Juan Pacheco Marquec of Euclid, Octavio Pacheco Marquec of Leon GTO, Mexico, Felipe Pacheco Marquec of Painesville and Albaro Pacheco Marquec of Painesville; 7 Grandchildren; mother MaLucia Pacheco Miranda of Leon GTO, Mexico; sister Martha (Hilario Torres) Miranda of Chicago.

Mrs. Griffin died Friday, November 8, 2002 at her residence.
She was born April 19, 1942 in Cleveland, she lived in Cleveland before moving to Painesville 20 years ago.
Mrs. Griffin was a full time astrologer and community involvement coordinator for Mentor Wal-Mart for the past 5 years. Past president and current board member of Friends of Morley Library; Member of Lake County Astrological Association, volunteer at Forbes House; member of St. Mary Painesville.
Survivors include her daughters Lisa Griffin of Euclid and Amanda Griffin of Painesville; son Jeffrey (Barbara) Griffin of Bedford Heights; grandchildren Julie (Donald) Jackubzak and Kelley Mayne; great-grandson Donald Edward Jackubzak; mother Margaret J. “Marge” Showalter of Cleveland; brothers John (Marilyn) Showalter of Cleveland and James (Kerri) Showalter of Centerville, Virginia; former husband Paul Griffin of Euclid.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles R. Showalter and her sister Judy Hearty.
