Memorial service for Timothy R. “Tim” Grubb, age 46, of Mentor will be held 6 p.m. Saturday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor.
Mr. Grubb died Saturday November 9, 2002 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born December 6, 1955 in Cleveland, he lived in Eastlake before moving to Mentor 15 years ago.
Mr. Grubb was a machinist he was also a self employed as a home improvements specialist. Mr. Grubb loved to fish and he also enjoyed reading. A U.S Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his son Randy Grubb and daughter Amanda Grubb both of California; parents Charlie and Freda Grubb of Mentor; sisters Mikki (Ed) Gardner of Eastlake, Sherri Lang of Painesville and Kelli Grubb of Mentor; 4 nieces; 2 nephews; 1 great nephew; and many other family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

William J. "Bill" Esselstyn, age 88, a longtime Mentor resident passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Hospice House in Cleveland of which he was a founding father 29 years ago. He was born July 15, 1923, in Lansing, Mich.
Mr. Esselstyn worked at Diamond Shamrock for 36 years prior to his retirement.
He attended Westerville elementary schools, Otterbein College, where he graduated in 1947 and the U.S. Army Laboratory Technicians School at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas in 1944. He was an Eagle Scout of Boy Scouts of America, the Ohio National Guard, the American Chemistry Society, the New York Chemist Club, Hope Ridge United Methodist Church, National Investor Relations Institute, Diamond Technical Society, REX Advisory Services, the Diamond Shamrock Retirees Association and the Painesville Senior Golf Association. He had also served on the Hospice of the Western Reserve Board.
Mr. Esselstyn was a World War II U.S. Army Medical Corps veteran. His hobbies included golfing, sailing, fishing, boating, playing in his bridge groups, travel all over the world, cookouts with family and friends, musical programs, cooking and reading. He was especially fond of spending time with his family.
Survivors are his wife, Jane T. (Mauter) Esselstyn of Mentor; children, Robert D. Esselstyn of Willoughby, Michael (Barbara) Mauter of Texas, Marcia Mauter of Cleveland Heights, John (Lynn) Mauter of Chardon Township, James (Bridgette) Mauter of Painesville Township and Mary Kay (Scott) Carter of Massachusetts; and grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Laura, Meagan, Melissa, Justin, Hannah, Zachary, Zane, Logan and Nohl.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Alice Esselstyn; parents, Albert and Edna Esselstyn; daughter, Nanci Biddle; and sons-in-law, Jim Biddle and Lester Stumpe.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Hope Ridge United Methodist Church, 9870 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be held at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.

Funeral service for Helen R. Guthrie (Ross), age 63, of Mentor will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Episcopal Church 7989 Little Mountain Rd, Kirtland Hills, Oh.
Mrs. Guthrie died Monday at her residence.
She was born March 15, 1939 in McKeesport, Pa., she has lived in Mentor for the past 39 years.
A retired Elementary School teacher from the Willoughby-Eastlake School System. She taught mainly at Longfellow & Edison Elementary schools for 37 years retiring in 1999.
She was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal church in Mentor, recognized in Who’s Who of American teachers, Watercraft Director at summer camp for Salvation Army for several years, America Red Cross Volunteer, 1971 Graduate of Lake Erie College, Loved Crafting and sewing.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years William Guthrie, daughters Barbara (Robert) Kovacs of Hambden Twp. and Kathleen (Michael) St.Amand of Richmond, Ky.; son Robert (Nancy) Guthrie of Perry Twp.; grandchildren Daniel Kovacs, Tyler & Ross St.Amand, Bradley, Alexander & Ethan Guthrie; sister Sally (Michael) Kosco of N. Versailles, Pa.; brother Robert (Cheryl) Ross of N. Huntingdon, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Edith Ross; sister Nancy Minnicks and brother William Ross.

Helen (Stachewicz) Maculewicz, age 85, of Madison, formerly of Richmond Heights and Bedford, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Mentor Way Care Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Cleveland.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Leiby of Rocky River and Carol (Dennis) Kapostasy of Mentor; grandchildren, Adam (Suzanne) Leiby, Evan Leiby, Rebecca (James) Basso and Philip (Amanda) Zarko; great-granddaughter, Lauren Leiby; sister, Claire Pommier of Bedford; and other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S.; parents, Stanley and Teophala Stachewicz; sisters, Sophie Wagen, Veronica Stachewicz and Pearl Brzozowski; and brothers, Ray and Adam Stachewicz and Tony and Henry Ziernicki.

Funeral service for Richard A. Hambrecht, age 88, of Mentor will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave. Mentor.
Mr. Hambrecht died Tuesday November 19, 2002 at the residence.
He was born April 5, 1914 in Minneapolis, Minn., he lived in Mentor for the past 25 years.
Mr. Hambrecht was a retired machinist from the Former TRW Main Plant in Euclid where he worked for 37 years until his retirement in 1979. He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran.
A member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Mentor, he loved bowling, fishing & golfing.
Survivors include his daughters Roberta (James) Nason of Eastlake and Stephanie (Michael) Comstock of Mentor; sons Art (Patricia) Lothman of Mentor and William Hambrecht of Mentor; 9 grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy M. Hambrecht; sons Richard & James Lothman.

Funeral mass for Mary Madalyn Hine, age 75, of Willowick will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Noel Church, 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills.
Mrs. Hine died Tuesday at Malachi House in Cleveland.
She was born December 9, 1926 Albany, Ny., she lived in Willoughby and Mentor before moving to Willowick.
Mrs. Hine was a retired Nurses Aide from Lake Hospital in Willoughby, a member of St. Noel Church, Willoughby Hills, Loved Cooking Soup, reading & cross word puzzles. The family would like to extend their their appreciation to Malachi House & Hospice of the Western Reserve for all of their loving care for Mary.

Funeral service for Doerine (Darash) (Marsey) James, age 50, of Cleveland will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. James died Friday, November 29, 2002 at her sister’s residence.
She was born July 12, 1952 in Cleveland, she lived Denver, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada before moving Cleveland.
Mrs. James was a homemaker and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include her daughters Danielle and Jennifer Marsey of Denver, Colorado; father Raymond Darash; mother Delores Donald of Cleveland; sisters Denise Rakar of Mentor and Melissa (Jason) Janouskovec of Fairport Harbor; brothers Wayne and Kenny Darash; grandmother Mabel Davis of Cleveland; former husband Bob Marsey of Denver, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Albert Lamb.
