USA High School Yearbooks by State and County

Warren W. Doman, age 33, a lifetime resident of Concord Twp. Warren died March 18, 2010 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Twp. He was born September 21, 1976 in Willoughby.
Warren graduated from Mentor High School in 1995, he received his associate’s degree from Lakeland Community College and his bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University, where he won numerous film writing awards. In addition to his accomplishments, Warren also composed the musical scores for the films he created. He worked as a substitute teacher for the Riverside local school district and the city of Painesville city school district.
His passion was filmmaking and film writing, he had several films shown at the Cleveland Cinematheque. He was a member of a writers group that met monthly at Barnes & Noble. Warren was a gentle soul, that touched so many lives through his laughter, stories, and caring of family, friends, and animals. He will be in our hearts forever with the memories he has left: movies, music he has created, and the love he had for all of us.
Survivors include his parents David and Sally Doman of Concord Twp; sister Rebecca (Dan) Doman-Nehrer of Willowick; paternal grandmother Gladys Doman of Olmsted Falls; aunts Sharan (Dave) Carr and Stephanie (John) Cole; uncle Kevin (Diane) Doman; beloved canine companion Sadie. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents William and Elizabeth Trepoy; paternal grandfather Steven Doman.
Funeral mass will be held 10am Tuesday March 23, 2010 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord Twp., OH 44060.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
Interment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.

Funeral mass for Kevin Keith Cook, age 41, of Cleveland will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.
Mr. Cook died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at St. Augustine Health Campus in Cleveland.
He was born June 12, 1961 in Painesville, he lived in Painesville and Mentor before moving to Cleveland 10 years ago.
Mr. Cook was an owner of the former RC Construction in Painesville. Very active outdoorsmen, former member of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in Mentor.
Survivors include his daughter Jessica R. Cook of Perry and son Jeff L. Cook of Perry; wife Coleen Cook of Perry; father Sylvester “Cy” Cook of Mentor; sisters Debbie Cook of Mentor, Edie Landers of Mentor, Mary (Gordon) Weishner of Eastlake, and Susan (Steven) Parker of Mentor; brothers Rick (Donna) Cook of Andover, Leonard (Sherie) Cook of Painesville, Sylvester (Janine) Cook Jr. of Painesville, Randy Cook of Eastlake; 12 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Coletta Cook; brother Jeffrey Cook; 1 nephew.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Dennis S. Canterbury, age 39, of Mentor, formerly of Madison, died Sept. 7, 2010, at his residence. He was born Oct. 12, 1970, in Cleveland.
Mr. Canterbury worked as a driving instructor for Mentor Driving School and in maintenance for Dave's Auto. Prior to that, he worked as a truck driver for Warner Trucking. He enjoyed reading, watching movies, had an infectious laugh, enjoyed having a good time and working with his hands making and building items out of wood.
Survivors include his mother, Donna Canterbury of Madison; brothers, Allan Mark Canterbury of Mentor and John E. Canterbury of Mentor; stepmother, Cheryl Canterbury of North Ridgeville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Emory Canterbury; grandparents, Allan and Bessie Grief and Marion and Geneva Canterbury.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family will host a luncheon at the East Heisley Church of God in Mentor following the burial at Mentor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dennis S. Canterbury Memorial Fund at any First Merit Bank.

KINGSVILLE - Carol May Appleton, 69, formerly of Ashtabula and Dorset, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born August 21, 1934 in Cleveland, the daughter of William A., Sr. and Olive E. Jaehn and had been an area resident most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at Kennametal and previously for Chardon Rubber. She also operated her own pet store on Lake Road called �The Bird Room�, for over 10 years.
She loved birds and also enjoyed hunting and crafts.
Survivors include three children, William A. and Robert E. Appleton, both of Ashtabula and Theresa Whitmire of Virginia Beach, VA; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her twin brother, William Jaehn of Kirtland Hills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Appleton in 1973, and her parents.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 3, 2004 from 3 to 5 PM at the Ducro Funeral Services - Jefferson Home, 17 North Market Street, Jefferson.
No formal services will be held.

Brian D. Ashley
PLYMOUTH TWP. - Brian David Ashley, 24, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at his home.
He was born December 7, 1978 in Phoenix, AZ and was raised by his parents, Donald L. and Bonnie (Lane) Ashley. He moved to Ashtabula when he was six.
Brian attended Ashtabula High School and graduated in 1998 from the ACJVS Welding Program. He also attended Kent State University, Ashtabula and Lakeland Community College.
For the past 2 1/2 years, he worked as a nurse�s aid for Broadfield Manor in Geneva.
A longtime Coca-Cola collector and fanatic, he loved working with his patients, camping, four-wheeling, and cars.
Survivors include his companion of 8 years, Linda Dewey of Ashtabula; his mother, Bonnie Ashley of Ashtabula; his paternal grandmother, Helen V. Ashley; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Lane of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Ashley; his paternal grandfather, Charles Robert "Bob" Ashley; and his maternal grandparents, Levi D. and Ruth Lane.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 AM Monday, October 6, 2003 at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
A service will be held 11 AM on Monday at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Broadfield Manor Activities Fund, 7927 Middle Ridge Rd., Geneva, OH 44041.

Roger D. Ashley
JEFFERSON - Roger D. Ashley, 51, of Doyle Road died Saturday, August 31, 2002.
He was born October 4, 1950 in Jefferson, the son of Lloyd B. and Clara (Tomkins) Ashley and had been a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Ashley worked eight years as a U.S. postal carrier and had also worked numerous construction jobs. He currently ran Ashley Moores horse farm with his wife.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was an avid baseball fan and played Minor League Baseball in his younger years. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, helping others, and children. His nickname was "The Candyman".
Survivors include his wife, Marie (Potokar), whom he married November 24, 1988; a son, James Ashley at home; one daughter and granddaughter of New York and another daughter and grandson, Roxanne and Dillon of Maryland; two step children, Tehfeh Moores of Paris Island, SC and Jeffrey Moores at home; seven sisters, Marge Ventura of Ashtabula, Joyce Meyers and Freda Boudrie, both of Mesa, AZ, Alice Mick of Jefferson, Dolly Frazee of Niceville, FL, Judy Jewell of Dorset, and Sheila Gutzman of Southgate, MI; and three brothers, Carl Ashley of Ashtabula, Richard Ashley of Merryville, LA, and Dennis Ashley of Albion, PA.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Paul Ashley; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held 1 P.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at Mr. Ashley's home, 1269 Doyle Road, Jefferson. Pastor Bill McMinn of the Eagleville Bible Church will officiate.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Ducro Funeral Services - Jefferson Home, 17 North Market Street, Jefferson has charge of the arrangements.

Beatrice L. Atkins
CONNEAUT - Beatrice L. Atkins, 75, of Rowe Street died Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Inn-Conneaut Health Center.
She was born September 16, 1925, the daughter of Emery and Amy Beatrice (Knapp) Taylor and had been a lifetime Conneaut resident.
A graduate of Rowe High School, she was a member of the East Conneaut United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family
Her survivors include her husband of 51 years, Clyde D. Atkins, Sr.; one grandson, Clyde D. "Chip" Atkins, III of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Courtney, and Cameran; two sisters, Jean (Claude) Loomis of Conneaut and Janet (Chuck) Smith of Apex, North Carolina; and her mother, Amy Downing of Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by he son, Clyde Atkins, Jr.; her step-father, Roland Downing; and her father.
A service will be held at the family gravesite at 1 P.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2001 in East Conneaut Cemetery. The Rev. Armando Arellano, Pastor of the East Conneaut United Methodist Church, will officiate.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Conneaut United Methodist Church, 809 Furnace Road, Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.
