Catherine M. Santich
PARKMAN - Catherine M. Santich, 99, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.
She was born Nov. 23, 1903, in Leckrone, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kalafut) Pachnar.
She was a coordinator at Santamary Florist and Greenhouses for many years. She retired from Eaton Manufacturing Co.
Mrs. Santich was a past member of St. John Nepomucene Church and its Altar and Rosary Society and Parent-Teacher Association. She also was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Parkman.
She was an honorary member of Parkman 55 Plus Club, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Elizabeth Lodge Court 586.
She was famous for her pierogis.
Survivors include her son, George Santich of Stow; three daughters, Emma Gale of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Eleanor Gassner of Solon and Rosemarie Santamary of Parkman; brother, John Pachnar of New Middleton; 10 grandchildren, David Santich, Richard Santich, Peg Henry, Marilyn Vinca, Albert and Tom Gassner, Cathy Nenadal, Allen Jesunas, Karen Kiefer and Lyn Bronaka; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, who died April 9, 1953; 12 brothers and sisters; and daughter, Dorothy.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 16150 Center St., Parkman, 44080. The Rev. Harry S. Winca and the Rev. John T. Burkley will officiate.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home Inc., 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, 44231.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.

James R. Williams
PARKMAN TOWNSHIP - James R. Williams, 87, of Parkman, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Blossom Hill Nursing Home, Huntsburg Township.
Born Oct. 4, 1913, in Cedarville, W.Va., Mr. Williams was the son of Rufus Clyde and Allie Virginia (Moyors) Williams and had lived in the Parkman area since 1965.
He married Virginia "Peggy" (Tucker) Warner on May 29, 1976.
Mr. Williams was an industrial engineer with BF Goodrich in Pennsylvania. He also worked in Findlay and most recently worked at Johnson Rubber for 15 years.
He attended the University of Akron and was a graduate of Akron Central High School. Mr. Williams also attended Goodyear Industrial University.
He was a member of Parkman Congregational Church, serving as a trustee; of Joppa Lodge 517 Free & Accepted Masons, Akron; and of Jerusalem Commandery 15, Phoenixville, Pa.. He was a former Shriner in Baltimore; and was a member of Yusif Kahn Grotto in Portage County.
Mr. Williams also was a member of Crescent Chapter Order Eastern Star 7, Garrettsville; Royal Arch Masons, of the American Legion for more than 50 years, of the Parkman 55 Plus Club, of Parkman Historical Society, the Geauga County Historical Society and was very active in Parkman community affairs.
He served as chairman of the Parkman Township Appeals Board and received the Geauga County Senior Citizen of the Year Award in 1993.
Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Parkman Congregational Church, 18255 Main St., Parkman, with the Rev. Gerald Sanders officiating.
Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Parkman.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund, P.O. Box 655, Parkman 44080.

JOHN BRATNICK
PARKMAN, OH - John Bratnick, 83, of Parkman, OH, died Thursday evening, October 2, 2003. He was a sign painter and graphic Artist at Ravenna Arsenal. A Memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at Parkman Community Hall, 16295 Main Market (Route 422), Parkman, OH. RUSSELL GOLDEN RULE FUNERAL SERVICE in Middlefield, is in charge of arrangements.

William H. Barringer
PARKMAN TOWNSHIP - William H. Barringer, 60, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1942, in Columbus, the son of Harold and Thelma (Waterman) Barringer. He was a lifelong resident of the area.
Mr. Barringer married Juanita Ames on March 16, 1968, in Hartsgrove.
He worked at Geauga Industries, Newbury Industries and Mar-Bal in Chagrin Falls. He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, gardening and reading the Bible.
Mr. Barringer was a 1961 graduate of Cardinal High School and a member of Abundant Life Church of God, both in Middlefield.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Denise Zarack of Painesville; granddaughter Hannah; two sisters, Anne Phillips of Middlefield and Edna Perry of Oklahoma; brother Arthur Barringer of Middlefield; and step-brother Daniel Popp of Chardon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Bessie Barringer.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, with the Rev. Roy Rosso of Abundant Life Church of God officiating.
Burial is in Middlefield Cemetery, Middlefield.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 300 W. 185th St., Cleveland, 44119.

Timothy Crites
PARKMAN TOWNSHIP - Timothy "T.O." Crites, 45, of Hosmer Road, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, of cancer at University Hospitals in Cleveland.
He was born Nov. 3, 1955, in Painesville, the son of Lewis F. Crites and Barbara R. Clemmer. He had been a Parkman resident for 11 years and was formerly of Painesville.
Mr. Crites graduated in 1974 from Riverside High School, Painesville Township
Mr. Crites worked at Ohio Sealants in Mentor for 10 years and was a saw operator for Kraft Maid Cabinetry in Middlefield.
He enjoyed bicycle riding, reading, camping and enjoyed being with family.
Mr. Crites was a member of the United Methodist Church in Painesville and DeMolay in Painesville.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara; his wife, Connie; stepsons, Tom Conley of Mesopotamia and Scott Conley of Parkman Township; a stepdaughter, Vickie Conley of Parkman Township; sisters, Carol Ivory of Painesville and Christine Adams of Michigan; a brother, Ken Crites of Madison and grandchildren, Bailey and Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis F., in 1985; and a granddaughter, Amber Conley.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Overlook Cemetery, Parkman Township.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at The United Methodist Church of Painesville, 71 N. Park Place, with the Rev. Gerald D. Kalb officiating.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.

Jim Shelton
PARKMAN TOWNSHIP - Jim Shelton, 73, of Nash Road in Parkman Township, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.
He was born May 16, 1928, in Dewdrop, Ky., the son of Harry and Della (Kegley) Shelton. He moved to the area 30 years ago from Windham.
A tree cutter, he was known by his nickname, "The Woodman." He enjoyed delivering wood, fishing and spending time at the local coffee shop.
Survivors include his companion, Lalah Lawrence; her children, Theresa Bolyard of Burton, and Vicky Reynolds of Garrettsville; a brother, Rosco Kegley of Kentucky; sisters Melvnih Wheller, Lorene Duty, Jean McCormick, Lena Raiff and Audrey Mase, all of Kentucky; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Junior Kegley and Jack Kegley.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield. Burial will be at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Harold G. Miller
PARKMAN TOWNSHIP - Harold Glenn Miller, 62, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital, Claridon Township.
He was born July 29, 1940, in Warren, to Raymond E. and Evelyn M. (Smith) Miller.
Mr. Miller attended East Liverpool High School. He was a machinist at Kirkwood Industries in Parma from March 1967 until retiring in June 1997.
He was an avid hunter, fisher and bowler. He enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his two brothers, Roger Miller of Lake Milton, and Ronald Miller of Parkman; and a sister, Janet Cunningham of East Liverpool.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gordon Miller; and a sister, in infancy.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at Russell Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield. The Rev. William Norman, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Middlefield, will officiate. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Parkman.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Care Corp. or to the Parkman Fire Department.
