Michael J. Crosser
MUNSON TOWNSHIP - Michael J. Crosser, 85, of Munson Township, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at The Greens of Lyndhurst in Lyndhurst.
He was born Jan. 31, 1917, the son of Vasil and Annie (Kelah) Crosser, and was a Cleveland resident before moving to Munson Township 25 years ago.
He worked as an engineer/estimator in the construction industry for more than 40 years before retiring in 1987.
During the 1940s, he was an Ohio state representative for the Cleveland area, and served more than 10 years. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading and gardening.
He married Mary Shaffer on Aug. 16, 1941, in Cleveland.
Survivors include his wife, of Munson Township; and a daughter, Susan Mahoney, also of Munson Township.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James M. Crosser.
Private family services were held. The Rev. Henry F. Woodruff, pastor of the Chardon United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Township.
The Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 116 South St., s, had charge of the arrangements.

Eleanor Gobec
MUNSON - Eleanor Gobec, 70, of Munson died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at her home.
Born Oct. 11, 1930 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna Dopirak.
She married Frank Gobec on Aug. 13, 1949 and had live in Munson the past 33 years.
From 1973 to 1995, she was employed by Chardon School System. She was also a member of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon, Fairport Slovenian Senior Club and a volunteer for St. Mary's bereavement.
Survivors include her husband, son Matthew of Kirtland Hills, daughter Lisa Sopko of Perry, two grandsons: Justin and Jared Gobec; and two sisters, Margaret Babich of Lorain and Susan Jablonowski of Independence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Michael, Paul, Peter and John Dopirak, sisters Helen Dopirak and Mary Cervenka. She was also preceded in death by her son Phillip Andrew.
Service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
Family will receive friends at the Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made in Eleanor Gobec's name to Hospice of Care Corp., 831 South St., Chardon.

Kenneth J. Richter Sr.
MUNSON TOWNSHIP - Kenneth J. Richter Sr., 50, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Geauga Regional Hospital.
He was born Nov. 23, 1950, in Cleveland, the son of Glenn E. and Pauline Richter, and moved to the area one year ago from Painesville Township.
He was owner of 12 Oaks Landscaping in Munson Township for the past three years. Previously, he worked 25 years as a driver for UPS Worldwide in Cleveland.
He was a 1969 Chardon High School graduate. He enjoyed traveling with his sons, and liked boating, fishing, water-skiing and tubing on Lake Champlain in Vermont, where the family spent summer vacations.
Survivors include his mother of Munson Township; two sons: Kenneth Jr. of Detroit, Mich., and Thomas of Painesville Township; and a sister, Barbara Smiley of Walterboro, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his father, in 1982.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. Robert D. Penrod, pastor of Pilgrim Christian Church, Chardon, will officiate.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert M. Rozboril
MUNSON TOWNSHIP - Robert Mark Rozboril, 60, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at Hillcrest Hospital in Hayfield Heights. He was born Sept. 30, 1942 in Cleveland, the son of Michael and Theresa (Cicik) Rozboril.
He lived in Bainbridge and Lyndhurst before moving to Munson Township in 1974. Mr. Rozboril was a building superintendent at the First Realty Apartments in Lyndhurst for 35 years until August 2001 when his illness prevented him from continuing to work.
Mr. Rozboril was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chardon, where he was a Eucharistic minister. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Geauga Council #3304, where he served as trustee and was a past grand knight.
He enjoyed football, bowling in a league in Bainbridge and with his friends from Euclid, polka music, dancing with his wife and being a devoted grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen “Kathy” (Lazzaro), whom he married on June 5, 1971 at St. Clare’s Church in Lyndhurst; two daughters, Suzanne McCann of Eastlake and Deborah Savage of Lyndhurst; two grandchildren, Kailey and Cameron McCann; and a brother, Michael Rozboril of Richmond Heights.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 401 North St., Chardon. Gregory F. Schaut, associate pastor of St. Mary’s will officiate.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Burial is at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rozboril Family. Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon is handling arrangements.

Lester Glenn Hall
MUNSON - Lester Glenn Hall, 77, of Munson, died early Tuesday morning, July 24, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Cleveland, the son of Glenn and Lucy (Shelden) Hall, and moved to Munson in 1960 from Chardon and Chesterland.
A carpenter, he was affiliated with Local 404 and built homes. Most recently, he operated the H and H Farm Market in Chardon.
He served with the Navy during World War II, in the Asiatic Pacific and African-European-Middle East theaters.
He married the former Rosemarie Kral on Feb. 23, 1946.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; daughters Karen Stanison of Burton, and Alice Marie Hall of Munson; a son, Joseph of Munson; grandchildren Christopher and Erik Stanison, Kelly Judd and Toni Hall; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Christian; and a brother, Leon Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fred Hall.
Service is 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon. The Rev. Ray Mullet will officiate.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 7 p.m. Friday until the time of service.

Ellen M. Svoboda (nee: Hoar)
Born: July 16, 1956
Died: August 21, 2004
Services: Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2004, at 10:00 am at the Hambden Congregational Church, 13840 GAR Highway, Hambden Twp. Pastor John Dove of the church will officiate.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 25, 2004, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon (500 south of Chardon Square on Rt. 44)
Age 48, a lifelong resident of Chardon, and a patient registrant of Hillcrest Hospital. She married Richard Svoboda on June 27, 1975 in Chesterland, OH. In her spare time she enjoyed motorcycling, crocheting and traveling. Wife of Richard (Dick) Svoboda of Chardon; Mother of Rich of Chardon, Holly (Matt) Turner of Madison, and Sarah Svoboda of Chardon; Grandmother of Kaylee Carmigiano; Sister of Kenny (Kathy) Hoar of Burton, Chuck (Debbie) Hoar of Maine, Eileen (Roger) Schaffert of Chesterland, Joyce Bosley of Washington State, and Sally (Robert) Boveington of Chesterland. Family has suggested donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 7861 Crile Road, Concord, Oh 44077

Gladys Irene Leggett
Born: October 17, 1910
Died: August 21, 2004
Services: Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 24, at 8:30 PM at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon (500' south of Chardon Square on Rt. 44). Rev. Virgil Arp, the grandson of Mrs. Leggett, will officiate at the service. A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Montville Cemetery, Madison Road, Montville Township at 11:oo AM.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at the funeral home from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
Gladys I. Leggett, 93, resident of Montville Twp. for 72 years, died at the Briar Hill Nursing Center in Middlefield, OH on Saturday, August 21, 2004. Gladys I. Cramblett married Charles J. Leggett in Ripley, New York, June 20, 1932. She was a 1930 Graduate of Huntsburg High School; Member of the Lighthouse United Methodist Church (Formerly Montville United Methodist) where she had been the church organist for 26 years; and she enjoyed bowling at Ernst Lanes in Chardon for many years and golfing at area courses. Mrs. Leggett was an active member of the Montville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by: Husband, Charles J. Leggett of Montville Twp., OH; 3 Daughters, Joanna Ruth Arp of Claridon Twp., OH, Faith Ann Bond Simpson of Burton Twp., OH, and Dayle Bond VanderKaay of Middlefield Twp., OH; 10 Grandchildren; and 15 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, Jacob and Leona (nee: Ray) Cramblett; daughter, Charlene Bell Peake and one sister. The family has suggested donations be made to the Montville fire Department, 9755 Madison Road, Montville, OH 44064
