The Clark Memorial Home Inc., 180 Garfield Drive N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483, is in charge of arrangements.
There will no calling hours and a private service will be Monday.
Anna N. Miller
MIDDLEFIELD TOWNSHIP - Anna N. Miller, 71, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at her home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Burton, the daughter of Neil I. and Lydia (Kauffman) Hershberger. She had been a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Miller married Eli E. Miller Dec. 14, 1950.
She was a homemaker and a member of Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include her husband; seven sons; eight daughters; 106 grandchildren; six step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; seven sisters and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren; and three sisters.
Funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at 15588 Hayes Road in Middlefield Township with Bishop Emanuel Kempf officiating. Burial will be in Hayes Road Cemetery in Middlefield Township.
Calling hours will be anytime at the residence.

Janice J. Juergens
MIDDLEFIELD - Janice J. Juergens, 69, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence, Middlefield.
She was born March 23, 1933, in Cleveland, the daughter of Josiah Dow and Florence (Howard) Jenkins.
Mrs. Juergens had been a Middlefield resident for three years, coming from Fullerton, Calif.
She married Paul Albert Juergens on Feb. 8, 1975, in Montecito, Calif.
She was an associate dean of foreign and handicapped students at the University of California and retired from Cal State, Fullerton.
Survivors include a niece, Susan V. Mandalfino of Middlefield; two great-nieces, Stacey McNicolas of Kent and Michelle Mandalfino of Middlefield; and a great-nephew, Anthony J. Mandalfino of Middlefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1998; and a sister, Agnes Jenkins Vandenberg.
Memorial service is 7 p.m. Monday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, with the Rev. D. Ray Mullet of Burton officiating.

Dorothy R. Smallwood
MIDDLEFIELD - Dorothy R. Smallwood, 87, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 at the University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Born March 26, 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Smallwood was the daughter of John M. and Susan (Gura) Smallwood. She was a lifelong area resident.
She married John Smallwood on Jan 19, 1935.
A graduate of Huntsburg High School, Mrs. Smallwood worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Smallwood Packing Co. in Middlefield for 40 years.
She enjoyed gardening and was devoted to her family and to her work.
She is survived by a son, Richard W. Smallwood of Chardon; a daughter, Janet Hauter of Huntsburg; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Smallwood of Middlefield.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; son Johnny in 1956; two brothers, John and Ralph Ratzenberger; and one granddaughter.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield. The Rev. Richard W. Smallwood of Chardon will officiate. Burial will be in the Middlefield Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. a the funeral home.

Helmi A. Miller
MIDDLEFIELD - Helmi A. Miller, 86, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Blossom Hill Health Care Residence, Huntsburg Township.
She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of John Leonard and Amanta (Passi) Miller. She was a lifelong area resident and a 1934 Middlefield High School graduate.
Ms. Miller worked as a caregiver for the McIlroy family in Middlefield for 58 years. She also volunteered at the United Methodist Church and the Food Cupboard there, as well as the Thriftee Shop, Middlefield.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Middlefield
Survivors include two brothers, William and Paul of Middlefield; and two sisters, Iria Pitorak of Middlefield and Miriam Warat of Chardon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, John; two brothers, Larry and Pete; and a sister, Lydia.
Service is 7 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Middlefield with the Rev. William E. Norman officiating. Interment will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
No calling hours will be observed. At Miss Miller's request, cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Ellen Mae Cole
MIDDLEFIELD - Ellen Mae Cole, 89, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at The Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna.
Mrs. Cole was born Aug. 18, 1913, in Columbus, the daughter of Irvin and Ada (Cunningham) Vorse.
A longtime Andover resident, Mrs. Cole had lived in Middlefield for the past several years.
For 30 years, she was employed by the former General Electric Plant in Andover in quality control, until her retirement in 1976. She also was employed at Marx Toys of Girard, Pa., for 15 years.
Mrs. Cole was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover, where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society.
She also was a member of the 55-and-Over Club and the Quarter Century Club of General Electric. Mrs. Cole was known as Cookie Grandma and was well known for her collection of more than 4, 000 pairs of salt and pepper shakers.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Fisher of Middlefield; stepdaughter Mary C. Harley; two brothers, Giles Vorse of Geneva and Clarence Vorse of North Jackson; companion, Larry Greathouse of Andover; two granddaughters, Diane Goodwin and Linda Humphrey; grandson, Roger Fisher; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cole married her first husband, Michael R. Gurak, on March 21, 1932. He died Sept. 18, 1951.
She married her second husband, Francis J. Cole, in March of 1956. He died Nov. 1, 1962.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Robert Vorse, and her sister, Jenny Finnegan.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Andover, with the Rev. Larry E. Frient officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery.
Calling hours are 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.

PARKMAN TOWNSHIP - Jonas N. Gingerich, 84, of Parkman Township, died early Thursday morning, June 19, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the Jonas Gingerich residence, 16643 Madison Rd., Parkman Township.
