Anna B. Lingro
MIDDLEFIELD - Anna B. Lingro, 94, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence in Middlefield.
Mrs. Lingro was born Aug. 4, 1907, in Lambert, Pa. Formerly of Cleveland, she had lived in Middlefield since 1972.
She worked in clothing manufacturing in the Cleveland and Willoughby areas for 40 years before retiring in 1970.
Among her hobbies were crocheting, making quilts, gardening and yardwork. She was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Middlefield and was active with the Middlefield and Geauga County Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her son, Richard Lingro of Auburn Township; four grandchildren, Richard Lingro Jr., Roseann Fugman; and Michael and Robert Lingro; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brother, John Chick; and two sisters, Mary Bolous and Julia Miller.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, 16280 Kinsman Road, Middlefield, with the Rev. John Burkley officiating.
Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
Calling hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
Michael Miller
MIDDLEFIELD TOWNSHIP - Michael Miller, 11 1/2 weeks old, of Shedd Road, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, of numerous complications.
He was born July 18, 2001, in Claridon Township, to Perry and Katie Ann (Yoder) Miller.
Survivors include his parents; brothers Danny, Marlin, Mark and Steven, all at home; and grandparents Joe J.S. and Sara Miller and Mose L. and Martha Yoder.
Funeral is 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at 15230 Shedd Road, Middlefield, officiated by Bishop Roman Mullet. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery in Parkman Township. Visitation is anytime at the residence.

Lydiann Hochstetler
MIDDLEFIELD TOWNSHIP - Lydiann Hochstetler, 89, of Middlefield Township, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 17, 1911, in Middlefield, a daughter of Jacob and Mary (Gingerich) Hochstetler. She was a lifelong residence of Middlefield.
Mrs. Hochstetler was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She married William J. Hochstetler Oct. 17, 1940.
She is survived by a daughter, Esther Yoder, of Middlefield; a son, William W. Yoder, of Middlefield; one sister, Ella Troyer, of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, John.
Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at 16109 Shedd Road, Middlefield. Bishop Eli Troyer will officiate. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery, in Parkman Township.
Friends may call at the residence anytime.

Rosemary E. Troyer
PARKMAN - Rosemary E. Troyer, age 3 months, 19 days, died Sunday October 19, 2003, of Congenital Heart Problems at her home.
She was born June 30, 2003, in Middlefield, Ohio, to Eli C. and Lydia M. (Byler) Troyer.
She is survived by her Parents; 1 Brother, Emanuel; Paternal Grandparents, Chris and Ruth Troyer of Orwell; Paternal Great-Grandparents, Jemima Troyer of Parkman, and Jake and Saloma Leslein of Mesopotamia Twp.; Maternal Grandparents, Mervin R. and Betty W. Byler of Parkman; Maternal Great-Grandparents, Elmer C. and Emma Weaver of Parkman, and Dorothy T. Byler of Huntsburg; Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Paternal Great-Grandfather, Mose Troyer; and Maternal Great-Grandfather, Rueben Byler.
The family will receive visitors anytime at their residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Wilmer Miller residence, 17048 Madison Rd., Parkman. The Bishop Jake Byler will officiate.
She will be laid to rest at Weaver Cemetery in Parkman Twp.

Leonore J. Smallwood
MIDDLEFIELD - Leonore J. Smallwood, 80, of Middlefield, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital, Claridon Township.
She was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Pittsburgh, Pa, the daughter of Austin Weaver and Mabel Clark.
She graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 1939 from Huntsburg High School.
She married Leonard "Bud" Smallwood on May 23, 1942, in Covington, Ky.
Mrs. Smallwood retired after working as a clerk in retail sales at API in Chesterland.
She loved nature and art, was interested in history and liked to cook. She enjoyed being with her family.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Middlefield.
Survivors include her son, Leonard of Sugarland, Texas; three daughters, Leslie Porter of East Claridon, Kathy Pierce of Middlefield and Cindy Miller of Chagrin Falls; her twin sister, Lorraine Duncan of Middlefield; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1993; and two sisters.
Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield. The Rev. Robert Barber of the Huntsburg Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
Calling hours are noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sarah P. Erb
MIDDLEFIELD - Sarah P. Erb, 77, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at UHHS-Geauga Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Erb was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Charm, the daughter of Phineas and Lydia (Miller) Troyer. She had lived in the area for 45 years.
She was a housewife and former owner of Erb Variety Store. Her hobbies included quilting and crocheting. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin, whom she married May 28, 1958, in Baltic; two sons, Phineas and Roy; three daughters, Marie, Ruth and Ida; 19 grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Troyer of Baltic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; sister; and granddaughter.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the family home in Middlefield, with the Rev. John Henry Yoder officiating.
Burial will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery. Friends may visit at any time.

August P. Luoma
MIDDLEFIELD - August P. Luoma, 81, of Middlefield, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence in Middlefield.
He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Burton Township, the son of Jacob and Evelina (Hila) Maki.
He married Betty J. (Connors) in July 1951 in Angola, Ind.
Mr. Luoma was a telegraph operator for the B & O Railroad, a maple syrup producer, bricklayer and was a self-employed concrete contractor.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in the South Pacific Theatre. Mr. Luoma's ship the U.S.S. Erie was torpedoed and sunk in 1943.
Mr. Luoma was a 1938 graduate of Burton High School and the U.S. Navy radio-operator school.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9678 Geauga County and the Maple Syrup Producers of Middlefield.
Mr. Luoma enjoyed hunting as a young man, making maple syrup and stopping for coffee at Belle's Restaurant.
Survivors include his brothers, Wayne Luoma, and Kit Luoma, both of Burton Township, and Ed N. Luoma of Middlefield; a sister, Ann Hollo of Burton Township; and three grandchildren, Heidi Luoma of South Carolina, Dirk Luoma of California and Erika Luoma of Brunswick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 1989; a son, Dr. John R. Luoma; his parents, and brothers, William, Emil and Martin.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield, with the Rev. D. Ray Mullett of Burton officiating.
Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
