Funeral service for Jean M. Seymour, age 77 of Madison will be held Tuesday March 11, 11a.m. at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave. Mentor.
Mrs. died Friday, March 7, 2003 at Mentor Way Nursing and Rehab Center in Mentor.
She was born August 1, 1925 in Cleveland, she lived in Euclid before moving to Madison 10 years ago.
Mrs. Seymour was a secretary for Royal insurance company for 18 years retiring in 1980.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and belonging to the Euclid Singleton Club.
Survivors include her sons Richard (Jackie) Seymour of Florida and James (Carolyn) Seymour of Mentor, grandchildren (8): Nathan, Allen, Stacy, Christopher, Sean, Ashley, Jason, and Joseph and two great grandchildren: Morgan and Marley.
Her Husband, Jack, daughter Patricia Santangelo and dear friend Steve Savel are deceased.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral service Vieno M. Sillanpaa, age 88, of Painesville Twp. will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hungarian Reformed Church 601 Plum St., Fairport Harbor.
Mrs. Sillanpaa died Sunday, March 23 at Lake Hospital Systems in Painesville.
She was born September 19, 1914 in Ylistaro, Finland.
Mrs. Sillanpaa was a homemaker. She was a member of Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor. She loved to cook, sew, and play bingo.
Survivors include her daughters Ritva (Michael) Laszlo of Painesville Twp. and Mary Harley of Painesville Twp.; grandchildren Linda Susanna Laszlo, Latasha Harley, Andrea Harley, and Robert Harley Jr.; great-grandchildren Andrew Laszlo, Jaeson Proctor, and Adrianna Norwood; sister Laina.
She was preceded in death by first husband Johan Venta; 2nd husband Paavo Sillanpaa; grandson Michael Laszlo Jr.; brothers Sulo, Ahti; sisters Ilmi, Helle, Aune, Helmi; 4 deceased children.
Family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Franklin A. Hoffman, age 87, of Mentor for the past 30 years formerly of Eastlake, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Lake Med Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Painesville. He was born June 1, 1924, in Bryan.
Mr. Hoffman was a retired maintenance supervisor for the former Chase Brass and Copper Company in Euclid and General Electric. Franklin belonged to Hope Ridge United Methodist Church in Concord Township, Mentor V.F.W. Post 9295, and enjoyed all sports including fly fishing and fly tying. Franklin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family.
He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Evelyn May (Parker) Hoffman; children, Ruth (Rodney) Spencer of Virginia Beach, Va., Franklin T. Hoffman of Phoenix, Ariz., David (Cheryl) Hoffman of Fredericksburg, Va., Dennis Hoffman of Newport News, Va., and Beth (Richard) Fellenstein of Concord Township; grandchildren, Michael (Abbie) Fellenstein, Robert (Kathryn) Fellenstein, Kristen Hoffman and Jonathan Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Carter, Landon, Kaleah and Kai; sister, Margaret (Dave) Lee of Indiana; brother, Bill (Ladonna) Hoffman of Coldwater, Mich.; and brother-in-law, Anthony Pignataro of Florida.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Frank A. and Hazel M. Hoffman; stepmother, Mary Hoffman; sister, Susan Pignataro; and brother, Robert Hoffman.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday September 3, 2011 in the chapel at Hope Ridge United Methodist Church, 9870 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at the church.

Funeral mass for Katherine Monika Parey, age 39, of Mentor will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor.
Ms. Parey died Saturday, March 15, 2003 at her residence after a 2 year battle with cancer.
She was born November 12, 1963 in Cleveland.
Katherine was an office manager at Mentor Mitsubishi for 6 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her daughter. She was an avid runner.
Survivors include her daughter Marissa; siblings Veronica (Steve) Burkhalter of California, Stephen Parey of Columbus, Joseph (Mary Ann) Parey of Mentor, Elizabeth (Gene) Andrews of Strongsville, John (Sharon) Parey of Brunswick, and Anna (Bill) Szappanos of Eastlake; nieces and nephews Zsuzsi, Steve, Drew, Monika (Gary) Nowakowski, Stefanie, Melissa, Christine, Theresa, Michele, Jaclyn, Angel, Cali Ann, Billy, Lisa; fiancé Bill Schmidt of Eastlake.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Veronica Parey.

Graveside service for Herman R. Phillips, age 85 of Mentor will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Chapel, 11521 Chillicothe Rd, Chesterland.
Mr. Phillips died Tuesday, April 8 at Altercare of Mentor.
He was born on July 25, 1917 in Flint, Michigan, he lived Eastlake and Cleveland before moving to Mentor 50 years ago.
Mr. Phillips was a retired Weaver and Inspector for Lindsay Wire Weaving Company in Mentor for 24 years before retiring in 1983. He was also a previous owner of Jackets Confectionary until 1963 and took pride in his home and garden.
He is survived by his children: Herman (Carolyn) Phillips of Concord, Margaret (Richard) Salajcik of Eastlake, Nancy Boyden of Willowick, Charles Phillips of Cambridge and Susan Dowen of Eastlake, 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Marguerite, grandchildren Mary Margaret Salajcik, Dan Butler, Robert Dowen and Richard James Phillps, brother Floyd Phillips, and sisters Viola Smith, Harriet Nagy and Lillian Oast are deceased.

Gregg A. Brooks, age 56, of Mentor, formerly of Northfield Center. Mr. Brooks was owner/operator of the former Bedford Transmission in Walton Hills. He was a volunteer fireman in Northfield Center. You will be missed "Hootie-Hotter".
