Elvira "Sis" Muster, 92, of Mentor for the past 70 years, died Aug. 28, 2011, at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born June 14, 1919, in Euclid.
Mrs. Muster had retired as an inspector from Fluid Control in Mentor.
She loved making ceramics, playing bingo, traveling and spending time with her family. She was one of the kindest, most caring ladies and she loved to hug everyone.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Thomas Rice; sister-in-law, Frances Rauth; grandchildren, Mike (Cindy) Rice, Lori Sickles, Scott (Lisa) Rice, Angela (Lee) Harris, Heather Byrd, and Samantha (Larry) Clement; 14 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Carol Rice; son, Tim Muster; daughter-in-law, Robin Muster; parents, Jacob and Freida Rauth; and six brothers.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
Memorial service for Richard Webb Young, age 81, of Mentor, formerly of Lakewood will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at St. Paul’s Church, 2747 Fairmount Blvd, Cleveland Heights, OH.
Mr. Young died Monday at Mentor Way Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Mentor, OH. He was born March 27, 1927 in Altoona, PA to the late Hobart H. & Nelle Young. He served in the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Young was formerly employed at IBM/SBC, Reynolds & Reynolds, Bernard Haldane, Dillard’s & worked security at Cleveland Stadium. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He is survived by 3 sons: Robert Young of Columbus, David Young of Mentor-on-the-Lake & Roger (Stacie) Young of Richmond, VA; brothers of Philip H. (Betty Jean) Young of San Rafael, CA & Roger S. Young of San Diego, CA. He is preceded in death by a brother Robert A. Young and his former wife Barbara Young.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM Wednesday until time of service at the church.

Memorial mass for Leslie S. “Papa” Hagara, age 71, will be held 12 noon Monday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, Ohio.
Mr. Hagara died Thursday Jan. 23, 2003 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 27, 1931 in Cleveland, he had lived in Cleveland before moving to Mentor 18 years ago.
Mr. Hagara retired from Bescast Inc. in Willoughby in 1994 after 38 years service where he was General Manager. He owned trotters and raced at Northfield Park over the past 18 years, he enjoyed golfing and was a member at Legend Lake Golf Course where he was a member of the animals, and enjoyed boating.
He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic church, and was a United States Marine Corps Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Lucy Brown Hagara of 18 years, Step-daughters – Amy (Lee) Watson of Mentor, Beth (Dan) Davis of Mentor, Cathy (Todd) Moyer of Cincinnati, Julie (Gregg) Sotka of Franklin, Tenn., Michelle (Anthony) Kaylor of Painesville, Nancy (Joe) Tracz of Mentor, Step-son – David (Lynne) Brown of Columbus, Grandchildren – Rachel, Sarah, Adam, and Hannah Watson, Mandi and Emily Davis and Micah, Andrew, Caylee, and Justin Moyer, Taylor, MacKenzie and Sydney Brown, Nathan and Nolan Sotka, Jo Anna, Courtney and Anthony Kaylor, Madelyn Tracz, Brother – Robert (Judy) Hagara of Painesville Twp., Sisters – Edith (Michael) Stropki of South Euclid, and Shirley (William) Snyder of Mayfield Heights, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Mary Hagara.

Memorial Service for Robert A. "Bob" Tuckey Sr., age 70, of Mentor for the past four years, formerly of Painesville, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at First Baptist Church of Painesville, 10801 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Painesville. Mr. Tuckey died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at his residence. He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Sidney, N.Y.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Painesville. He loved to watch TV, especially the Cleveland Indians and Browns. Mr. Tuckey was a retired maintenance man in the local area.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Natalie (Anderson) Tuckey of Mentor; daughters, Debra (Dennis) Hartman of Madison, Tamara Setler and Teresa (Richard) Sturm, both of Mentor; sons, Robert Tuckey Jr. of Painesville and Rick Tuckey of Mentor; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Tela Stringer of Undilla, N.Y., Shirley (Harlan) Stringer and Helen (Raymond) Curtis, both of Sidney, N.Y. and Jeanette Belcher of Hartford, N.Y.; and brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Tuckey of Sidney, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gary Setler Jr.; parents, Floyd and Viola Tuckey; sister, Dolores Jones; and brothers, William, Roland and Floyd "Junior" Tuckey.

Funeral service for Jack I. Heasley, age 83, of Willoughby will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Heasley died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was born February 8, 1919 in Cleveland, he had lived in Euclid before moving to Willoughby.
Mr. Heasley worked at TRW in Cleveland as a millwright for 43 years. He was a member of the Old Guard at TRW; he was an accomplished artist. He was a sculptor, photographer, and potter.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie of 9 years; son Thomas (Bonnita) Heasley of Mentor; daughter Sue Ellen Gortz of Bucyrus, Ohio; daughter-in-law Charlotte Heasley of Willoughby; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; step-children Holly, Mike, and Carol.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Margaret Heasley; son Jack Heasley; brother Ken Heasley.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral mass for Marjorie “Marge” A. (Smithhisler) Heckman, age 80, of Mentor will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor.
Mrs. Heckman died Wednesday January 15, 2003 at Kemper House in Mentor.
She was born April 16, 1922 in Cleveland, she had lived in Unionville before moving to Mentor 47 years ago.
Mrs. Heckman was a homemaker who had also enjoyed playing cards. Marge was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, she had previously attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. She had been a member of the St. Mary bible study and of the St. Martha’s guild. She had also been a Eucharistic minister and had laundered, ironed and pressed the linens for the St. Mary altar.
Survivors include her children Mary Ann Heckman of Madison, Richard W. (Pam) Heckman of Westlake, Dolores (Del) Stephens of Concord Twp., Peg (Gene) Lindsay of Raleigh, N.C., Rose (Andy) Kwarciak of Middleton, N.J., Joe (Brenda) Heckman of Chardon, Jim (Paula) Heckman of Chardon, Tom (Connie) Heckman of Concord Twp., Mark (Patti) Heckman of Durham N. C. and Kitty (Paul) Rozewski of Mentor; grandchildren Melissa, Sue, Del, Jerry, Jennifer, Michelle, Lisa, Kristen, Scott, Andy, Cody, Jeff, Tiffany, Kristy, Tracy, Tom, R.J., Andrea, Kim, Tish, Paul, Dan and Darlene; great grandchildren Mac, Amanda, Mara, Shane, Justin, Josh and Kaitlyn; brother Raymond Smithisler; sister in law Glenna Smithhisler; cousins Dot and Wally Camp.

Barbara J. (Simpson) Polson, age 82, of Mentor for the past 10 years and formerly of Willowick, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born May 21, 1929, in Cleveland.
Barbara was a bookkeeper for the former Cleveland Press for many years.
She was a member of D.A.R., Colonial Dames, Lake County Democratic Party and Willowick Women's Club. Mrs. Polson volunteered for many years for both the U.S. Forest Service and Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Barbara "Mom" was a loving and devoted mother ahead of her time. She raised two girls (Diane and Linda) as a divorced women working full time at the Cleveland Press. "She held our hands through life and would still reach to hold our hand when driving or walking along. She told us she loved us everyday and kept an active loving interest in our life to the very end."
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Mekus of Mentor and Diane (Gene) Miller of Mentor; grandchildren, John A. (Amber) Sandy, Veronica Mekus, Bryan (Shannon) Miller and Erika Miller,; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Alyssa, Ava, Giovanni, Brooklyn, Camille, Zachary, Jordan, Brandon and Kayden; niece, Leesa (Kirk) Easley of Atlanta, Ga.; nephew, Mark (Jeanne) Mattern of Lyndhurst; friend for 69 years, Ernie Sweigert of Mentor; and loving adopted daughter, Lynn Topolski of Willowick.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Polson; parents, William A. and Frances Simpson; and sister, Doris (Bud) Mattern.
A Celebration of Life will be will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Father Tom Johns of St. John Vianney Church will have closing prayers at 7:45 p.m.
