Mahlon D. Boley
SARASOTA, Fla. Mahlon D. Boley, 82, died Saturday, June 2, 2001.
He was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Greentown, the son of Joseph and Katie (Troyer) Boley. He had moved from Burton to Sarasota in the early 1970s and had been a building inspector.
Mr. Boley was a member of the Palm Grove Mennonite Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Boley of Sarasota; daughters, Mary J. Boley and Sally Tidmarsh, both of Sarasota; a son, Larry Boley of Pelham, Ga.; sisters, Lizzieann Miller of Dover and Fannie Stutzman of Massillon; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church, 10587 Market Ave., N., in Hartville, with Mervin Wagler officiating. A final viewing will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday in the Mapleview Mennonite Church in Burton. The graveside committal will follow immediately in Mapleview Mennonite Church Cemetery in Burton.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church and one hour prior to services on Thursday in the church.
The Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville is in charge of arrangements.
Roy Elliott
PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP - Roy Elliott, 58, of Carson Road, died Tuesday, June, 5, 2001, at his home.
Born Sept. 27, 1942, in Dony, Ky., he was a son of Francis and Darkie (Alley) Elliott and had been an area resident most of his life.
He married Susan E. Fetch on Nov. 14, 1964, in Winchester, Va.
Mr. Elliott was a partner and operator of Roy & Ray's Automotive Service, Main Avenue, Ashtabula, for the past 35 years.
He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Baylor Post 943, the Moose Lodge, the American Legion and the Dusty Boots Riding Club.
He loved Ford automobiles, woodworking and NASCAR racing.
Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Mary F. Jewell of Ashtabula; a grandson, Kyle D. Jewell; two brothers, Andrew of Florida and Francis of Kentucky; and five sisters, Lona Martin of Indiana, Oma Moore, Leona Mitchell and Lucy Schmittou, all of Michigan, and Hazel Nichols of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William, Hershel and Curt.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Cremation will follow at the Family Care Group Cremation Center.
Private burial of ashes will be Monday at Hickok Cemetery, Jefferson Township.

Anne Licate
STOW Anne Lucille (Foglio) Licate, 85, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Cuyahoga Falls Community Hospital.
She was born May 28, 1916, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Joseph and Stephanie (Colucci) Foglio.
She married James Licate in 1939.
Mrs. Licate worked at Morrell's Dress Co. and Molded Fiber Glass Co., and for many years, she and her husband operated a grocery store at the west end of Ashtabula on Prospect Road. After her retirement, they moved to Stow to be closer to her family. They also had lived in Steubenville and North Kingsville.
She was an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed her family, visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking for them and gardening.
Mrs. Licate was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Ashtabula.
Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Craig of Munroe Falls and Mary Lou Adams of Mentor; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers John Foglio of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Joseph Foglio of Ashtabula; and sisters Christine DeAngelo of Elwood City, Pa., Audrey Wood of Ashtabula and Diana Miller of Indianapolis, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Virginia (Licate) Spahr; and brothers Carmen and Andrew Foglio.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was held May 31 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The Dunn-Quigley-Cirello and Carr Funeral Home of Stow was in charge of arrangements.
James O. Rose
MANSFIELD James O. Rose, 57, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at MedCentral Hospital.
He was born Aug. 20, 1943, in Ashtabula, the son of Ralph and Rose (DeZolt) Rose. He came to Mansfield in 1951 and was a graduate of St. Peter's High School.
Mr. Rose served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was owner and operator of Rose and Rose Data Services for 37 years.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the National Rifle Association, the Moose and the Marine City Yacht Club.
Survivors include his fiancee, Anne Vail; three sons, John Rose of Mansfield, Jason Vail of Mansfield and Kristopher Prosser of Cincinnati; a daughter, Amanda Vail of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Braden, Tresten and Shelden Vail and Hayley Prosser; his mother, Rose Rose of Mansfield; two brothers, Ralph Rose of Mansfield and Terry Rose of North Palm Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Rose Marie Gray and Karen Riegel, both of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service at Geiger-Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, Mansfield.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter's Schools.
Janet Y. Sherwood
SEVEN LAKES, N.C. Janet Young Sherwood, 77, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at her home. She suffered from emphysema.
She was born May 25, 1923, in Cleveland, the daughter of Frank Prime and Dorothy (Bromley) Young. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and from Flora Stone Mather College of Western Reserve University (now Case Western Reserve University).
Mrs. Sherwood was married for 54 years to Zalmon Omar "Bill" Sherwood, a general surgeon who retired to Seven Lakes in 1982.
She worked in retail sales as a buyer for the Halles Department Store in Cleveland until the birth of her first child in 1947.
Mrs. Sherwood and her husband were avid golfers and excellent bridge players. She shared their enjoyment of both games with many friends.
The Sherwoods lived in Geneva, where Mrs. Sherwood served on the school board for several years. She was an active volunteer with the schools, Girl Scouts, Christ Episcopal Church and Geneva Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Round Table, Madison Country Club, the Ashtabula County Medical Auxiliary and several bridge clubs. She was the proud recipient of Silver Life Master status in the American Contract Bridge Association.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Ann Sherwood Sentilles, Patricia Sherwood Smith and Dr. Dorothy Sherwood Berner, all of Dallas, Texas; a son, Zalmon Omar Sherwood Jr., of Sarasota, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Sarah Young Sentilles, Emily Ann Sentilles, Irwin F. Sentilles IV, Della Grace Sentilles, Misty Crosby Smith, William Sherwood Smith and Peter. F. Derner II.
Services will be held 2 p.m. today at the Seven Lakes Chapel in the Pines.
Memorial contributions can be made to Geneva Memorial Hospital or Christ Episcopal Church.

Harold L. Sanborn
COLEBROOK - Harold L. Sanborn, 95, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Grand Valley Country Manor in Windsor.
He was born Feb. 8, 1905, in Kirtland, the son of Harry and Helen (Wakelee) Sanborn. He lived in Colebrook for 46 years.
Survivors include two grandsons: Mark of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Shawn of Littleton, Colo.; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera, in March 1986; his second wife, Helen (Shatto), in 1991; a son, Leslie; an infant daughter; and three brothers: Ralph, Kenneth and Perry.
He will be cremated with ashes buried in Chardon.

Joseph A. Carmigiano
SOLON - Joseph A. Carmigiano, 81, of Seneca Drive, Solon, formerly of Mayfield Heights, died Friday, June 6, 2003 of an unknown cause.
Mr. Carmigiano was born in Cleveland, OH, and he was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed as a truck driver for Picker Corporation.
Survivors include his children, Betty Lou Williams and husband Alvin of Geneva, Leonard F. Carr and wife Linda of Gates Mills, and William J. Carmigiano and wife Cheryl of Solon; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Seccia and her husband Sam.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2003 at St. Francis of Assisi Church 6850 Mayfield Rd., Gates Mills, OH.
