Zella C. Rodgers
Gibsonton, Fla. Zella C. Rodgers, 98, of, Fla., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at the Brandon Community Hospital in Brandon, Fla.
She was born on July 4, 1903, in East Orwell, the daughter of William H. and Sarah Jane (Addicott) Jones.
Mrs. Rodgers lived in Orwell most of her life until she retired to Gibsonton in 1987.
She was a member of Orwell Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star, the Orwell Garden Club, and the Orwell Grange. She also belonged to the Senior Citizens of Gibsonton, International Independent Showmen's Association of Gibsonton, and Showfolks of Sarasota, Fla.
Survivors include two sons, William of Gibsonton, and Dave of Madison; four grandchildren, Dave and Dean Rodgers, Denise Sines, and Debbie Woodworth; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle; and two sisters, Marie Dillon of Ashtabula, and A. Polly Taylor of Orwell.
Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Orwell North Presbyterian Church, 135 N. Maple St., Orwell, with the Rev. George Dauler officiating. Burial will be in Orwell North Cemetery.
No calling hours will be observed

Mary F. Krempasky
HUDSON - Mary F. Krempasky, 72, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at Geauga Regional Hospital in Clairdon Township.
She was born April 30, 1929, in Cullman, Ala., a daughter of William and Willie Jay (Turner) Howse. She had lived in Hudson since 1978, having moved there from Macendonia, where she resided for 22 years.
Mrs. Krempasky was a seamstress for Fisher Body in Euclid, before retiring in 1965.
She enjoyed gardening, roses, and her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hudson, a 30-year member of Alcoholic's Anonymous and a former member Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Barnabas Catholic Church, both of Macedonia. Mrs. Krempasky was also a member of the First Catholic Slovak Union 777, of Bedford.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen, whom she married Jan. 28, 1955, in Cleveland; two sons, Stephen Francis Krempasky, of Carlisle, Pa., and Lawrence Krempasky of Finnleyville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Eric W., Courtney Lynn, Stephen Scott, and Anna Margaret Krempasky; and two sisters, Nellie Teele, of Brookville, Fla., and Edith Self, of Cullman, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alfred E. Howse; and her step-mother, Trudy (Cobbs) Howse.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury. Fr. Jay McPhillips will officiate. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon.

James Stanley Beran
WOODINVILLE, Wash. - James Stanley Beran, 46, died Friday, March 30, 2001, in Issaqua, Wash., of injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born Sept. 25, 1954, in Warren and grew up in North Bloomfield. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1972.
Mr. Beran worked as an electrical lineman and an IBEW member for 25 years in Ohio, Idaho, Alaska, Pennsylvania, Georgia and most recently with Puget Sound Energy in Seattle, Wash. He spent 14 years volunteering for the community as a soccer and baseball coach.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; daughters Sarah and Jessica, a son James; his mother, Marilyn of Bloomfield; and three brothers, Joe and John, both of Bloomfield and Don of Windsor.
Service was Tuesday at the Green Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place, Bellvue, Wash., 98015.

Leroy Snodgrass
CRYSTAL WATER, Fla. - Leroy Snodgrass, 89, of Conneaut during the summer months, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at his winter home in Crystal Water.
Mr. Snodgrass was born Dec. 13, 1911, in Cleveland. He married Janette Johnson. He retired in 1972 from Gould, where he was a machinist.
He is survived by a daughter, Elda Markle; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and a son, Kenneth.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Zele Funeral Home, 452 E. 152 St., Cleveland with Dr. Walther Marcis of St. John Nottingham Lutheran Church, Cleveland, officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Katie A. Miller
DALTON - Katie Ann Miller, 86, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community.
The daughter of Andrew E. and Mattie (Beachy) Burkholder, she was born Nov. 18, 1913 in Walnut Creek.
Mrs. Miller lived in Wayne and Holmes counties all her life. She was a member of the Sonlight Chapel Church in Maysville and previously belonged to the Gospel Light Chapel Church in Wilmont.
Survivors include four sons: Raymond J. of Wooster, Moe of Middleberry, Ind., Andrew J. of Tangent, Ore. and Wayne of Orrville; four daughters: twins, Mary Taylor of Wooster and Clara Schlabach of Mt. Eaton, Susan Byler of Middlefield and Martha Eveleth of Chewelah, Wash.; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Henry of Millersburg and Dan of Holmesville; and seven sisters: Ella Yoder and Susan Miller both of Fredericksburg, Sarah Yoder, Mary Miller, Emma Schmucker, Lovina Yoder and Clara Stutzman, all of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Catherine; one brother, Eli; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Sonlight Chapel, in Maysville, with the Rev. Ray Shaum officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church Monday.

Denise A. Georgia
HOLLY HILLS, FLA. - Denise A. Georgia, 47, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, Fla.
The daughter of Merlin T. 'Bud' Mooney and Carol (Nutter) Bennett, she was born March 11, 1953, in Erie, Pa.
Mrs. Georgia was previously employed as a nursing assistant at Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut and at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. She lived in Florida since 1985, and was a manager at Scotty's Hardware in Clewiston, Fla.
Mrs. Georgia attended River Bend Baptist Church in Daytona, Fla. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, bowling and oil painting.
Survivors include her mother; her step-father, Richard Bennett of Conneaut; her fiancé, Don Koons of Holly Hills, Fla.; one daughter, Kathleen Fritz of Clewston, Fla.; one son Joseph Fritz of El Paso, Texas; five brothers: Larry Phillips of Monroe Township, Gordon Lindsay of North Kingsville, Scott Lindsay of Ashtabula, Dan Georgia of Monroe Township and John Edwards of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two sisters: Angie Bowers of Conneaut and Brenda Hendry of Big Pine Tree Key, Fla.; and two grandchildren: Steven Garcia and Ciara Jones.
She was preceded in death by her father; her step-father, Harry Lindsay; and her grandparents.
Graveside services are pending and will be announced by the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
Joyce A. Burtt
DORSET TOWNSHIP - Joyce A. Burtt, 70, of Route 193, died Friday, April 6, 2001, at the home of her daughter in Conneaut.
She was born May 8, 1930, in Hillsdale, Mich., the daughter of Leo and Eloise (Baukes) Hand and had been an area resident most of her life. She married William A. Burtt on Aug. 20, 1946, in Conneaut Lake, Pa.
Mrs. Burtt attended the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene and the Jefferson United Methodist Church. When her children were growing up, she was a Cub Scout leader and managed a Jefferson Area Girls Softball major league team. She was always involved with her families activities, enjoyed bowling and was an avid Indians and Browns fan.
Mrs. Burtt is survived by her husband; six children, Fred E. of Beaumont, Texas, Rebecca M. Dietrich of Jefferson, Donald L. of Andover, David A. of Dorset Township, Randy M. of North Kingsville and Dawn N. Dale of Conneaut; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Geri M. Bowler; a son, Fern A.; and two grandsons, Samuel Burtt and William Bowler.
Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Jim Sabin of the Christian Assembly Church, Richmond Heights, officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
