Marino M. Frabutt
PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP - Marino M. Frabutt, 78, died Monday, May 6, 2002, in the Veterans' Medical Center of Erie.
He was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Ashtabula, to Paul and Mary (DelPrincipe) Frabutt.
Mr. Frabutt attended Ashtabula High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a sergeant and served in the 65th Signal battalion during World War II.
He married Angeline Licate August 6, 1949.
Mr. Frabutt and his brother Ernest owned and operated Frabutt's Golden Dawn on the east side of Ashtabula for 15 years. For 30 years, he cut meat for the A&P, Fitting's Super Duper and Moses Super Duper.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He also belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 943 and American Legion Dewey-Howlett Post.
Mr. Frabutt's hobbies included gardening, woodworking, wine making, golfing and traveling.
Survivors include son James of Greensboro, N.C.; daughters Marilyn Davies and Janet Kelly of Ashtabula and Carol Washburn of North Kingsville; grandchildren Michelle and Michael Davies, Kristen and Lori Kelly, Ann and Ashley Washburn, and Matthew and Jacob Frabutt; and sisters Jennie Fratis and Florence Rapose of Ashtabula and Laura Pizzuto of Erie, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2001, sons Thomas and Paul, and brother Ernest.
Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1200 E. 21st St., Ashtabula, officiated by the Revs. Ronald Nuzzi and Michael Balash. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
Raymond L. Kurkowski
WEST ASHLEY, S.C. - Raymond Lee Kurkowski, 44, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1957, in Geneva, to Henry and Bernice (Drozd) Kurkowski. He moved to South Carolina in 1984.
Mr. Kurkowski was a self-employed construction worker. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Geneva, and enjoyed boating.
Survivors include son Michael Bishop of Florida; daughters Breeze Wagner of Ashtabula and Brady Kurkowski of Seven Hills; brothers Henry of South Carolina and Bradley of New York, N.Y.; and sister Cynthia Kurkowski of Stow.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. There are no calling hours at the family's request.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Zoo or another charity.

Bertha Schebella
NORTH OLMSTED - Bertha Schebella, 83, formerly of Madison, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at HCR Manor Care, North Olmsted.
She was born April 12, 1919, in Cleveland.
Survivors include brother Louis Belohlavek of Cleveland, and sister Marcella Potocki of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by husband Leo Schebella in 1988 and brother Frank Belohlavek.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, officiated by the Rev. Luigi Miola. Burial will be in North Madison Cemetery.
Friends may call 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison.
Bernice F. Woolley
ROME - Bernice F. Woolley, 78, of Dodgeville Road died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Chardon.
Mrs. Woolley was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Gold, Pa., the daughter of Hiram and Pat Snyder.
A Rome area resident since 1950, she worked as a dietitian at the former Charlotte Nursing Home in Rock Creek. She then worked in housekeeping at the Village Square Nursing Home in Orwell. She retired in 1986.
She married Phillip A. Woolley Dec. 17, 1941.
Mrs. Woolley enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Henry J. Woolley of Rome; two brothers, Earl Snyder of Orwell and James Snyder of Genesee, Pa.; grandson, Bryan Woolley of Warren; three granddaughters, Brenda Swyers of Rome, Diane Sanchez of Rome and Denise Pawlowski of Jefferson; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1976; two brothers, Robert and Austin Snyder; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Woolley.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.
Burial will be in Orwell North Cemetery, Orwell.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Wilma L. Kelley
PALESTINE, Texas - Wilma L. Kelley, 59, formerly of Euclid, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas.
She was born Jan. 24, 1944, in Logan, W.Va.
Mrs. Kelley was a registered nurse for the University of Texas Medical Center in Palestine. She received her nursing degree from the Willoughby Career Center in 1985.
She loved crocheting and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis, whom she married in 1995; her mother, Marie Edwards, of Geneva; two sons, Donald Lockridge of Madison, and Daniel Lockridge of Geneva; a daughter, Erin Johnson of South Carolina; a brother, Clarence Pridemore of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister, Ellen Pridemore of Euclid; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Sydney Lockridge.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Lockridge, in 1985; and her father, Hersey Pridemore, in 1994.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. The Rev. Paul McCoy, of the Geneva Church of God, will officiate.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
Frank Reznak
TRUMBULL TOWNSHIP - Frank Reznak Sr., 83, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Madison Healthcare Nursing Home in Madison.
He was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Czechoslovakia, the son of Ladislav and Pauline Reznak.
Mr. Reznak was a retired grinder at Kennametal Inc. in Orwell. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his son, David Reznak of Trumbull Township; a daughter, Kathleen Moseley of Cordele, Ga.; two brothers, William Reznak of Rome Township, and Daniel Reznak of Madison; a sister, Mardge Grippi of Painesville; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Joseph and Larry Reznak.
Service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Paine-Simpson Funeral Home, 3119 W. Water St., Rock Creek. Mr. Gordon Emerson, a lay pastor from Rock Creek, will officiate.
Visitation is noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Rock Creek.
Edward G. Murphy

Edward G. “Jerry” Murphy, 69, Dodge Rd., Rome Twp., died Monday evening at the Louis Stokes Brecksville V. A. Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born August 17, 1937 in Cleveland, the son of Edward H. & Eleanor R. (Funk) Murphy. He was a graduate of Collinwood High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Germany. Since his discharge from the service, Jerry lived on the family farm Rome Twp., where he worked and help take care of the animals.
He was a member of the Rome Presbyterian Church where he was ordained as an elder. He also was very active in the Country Neighbor Program in Orwell and enjoyed fishing, photography, music, walking and playing the lottery.
Survivors include his mother, Eleanor in Rome Twp., three brothers and a sister, Brian D. Murphy of Plano, TX, Dennis M. Murphy of Jefferson, Kenneth J. Murphy of St. Clairsville & Marcia J. McMurphy of Rome Twp. and seven nieces and nephews: Tara, Heather, Shawn, Jeffrey, Susie, Travis & Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward in 1989, a brother, Robert A. Murphy in 1967 and a twin brother at birth.
Private funeral services will be held at the Jefferson Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Mary Jo Foust, lay pastor at the Rome Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Rome Center Cemetery.
