Betty Cook
SPRINGFIELD - Betty Cook, 83, of Springfield, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at the Ohio Masonic Home of Springfield.
She was born Oct. 17, 2001, in Rock Creek, the daughter of Newt and Bessie Bender.
A high school graduate, she was self-employed in the motor home sales industry for several years.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Metzger; and nephews and nieces who live in the area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harland Cook, in 1992.
At her request, the body will be cremated and the urn buried at 2 p.m. Oct. 17, at Union Cemetery in Rock Creek.
The Woods-Allgier Funeral Home of Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
Irene E. Yenco
PARMA - Irene E. Yenco, 77, of Parma, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at Mount Alverna Home in Parma.
She was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Windsor, the daughter of Frank and Mary Kaminski, and was a Windsor High School graduate.
She was retired from the General Motors plant in Parma, and was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. Columbkille Church and the Polish American Club.
Survivors include nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin; a sister. Helen Dobos; and two brothers, Walter and Stanley Kaminski.
Prayer service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma. A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Parma. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Michael Milan
SEBASTOPOL, Calif. - Michael Milan, 73, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, after an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Middlefield.
Mr. Milan served in the U.S. Armed Forces and worked for the U.S. Department of Forestry.
Survivors include his wife, Anastasia Milam of Sebastopol, Calif.; two sons, Matthew of Loomis, Calif. and Mitchell of Sebastopol, Calif.; three grandchildren, Megan, Alexander and Christopher Milan; a brother, George Milanich of Painesville; and three sisters, Marge Kormos of Mayfield Village, Vera Milanich of Willoughby, Helen Lardie of Woodbridge, Va.
A memorial service will be held at Sebastopol Assembly of God Church at a later date.

Mabel L. Call
FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Mabel L. Call, 101, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at the Collinsville Nursing Home, Collinsville, Ala.
Mrs. Call was born Dec. 10, 1899, in Lenox Township, the daughter of John C. and Eva Springer.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for the former Wright's Grocery in Conneaut and was a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church of Conneaut.
She lived the rest of her life in Fort Payne, Ala.
Survivors include son Kenneth of Fort Payne, Ala.
Mrs. Call was preceded in death by her parents and husband Samuel Call.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in East Conneaut Cemetery, with the Rev. Ronnie Highfield officiating.
The Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut is in charge of arrangements.
Carl W. Light
WINDSOR TOWNSHIP - Carl W. Light, 72, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 25, 1928, in Charleston, W.Va., he was a son of Everett and Pearl (Harris) Light and had been an area resident since 1942.
He married Vera Parsons on May 13, 1951, in Ripley, W.Va.
Mr. Light was employed as a setup man for the former Addressograph-Multigraph, retiring in 1966. He and his wife owned and operated Maple Nursing Home in Munson Township from 1966 to 1994 and Maple II Nursing Home, Hiram, from 1976 to 1984.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War.
Survivors include four daughters: Darlene of Hartsgrove Township, Donna of Newbury Township, Deanna Berlinski of Troy Township, and Dorene Hallbom of Auburn Township; a son, David of Hartsgrove Township; 11 grandchildren; and three sisters: Katherine, Grace and Joann.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Dennis; a his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with the Rev. Tom Ross of Miracle Temple, Hartsgrove Township, officiating. Burial will be in Hartsgrove Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Michael J. Tenan
PARMA - Michael J. Tenan, 41, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Cleveland Clinic.
Born Dec. 16, 1958, in Cleveland, he was a son of Harry D. and Mary (Matosek) Tenan and had worked as an automobile service technician.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Samac); four children: Jeffrey Alan, Brenda Marie, Matthew Ryan and Angela Nicole; his mother; and five siblings: David, Patrick, Robert, Kris and Deborah.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Service is 10 a.m. Friday at Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home, 5677 State Road, Parma. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Parma.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Anne M. Dunnell
ROME TOWNSHIP - Anne M. Dunnell, 89, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren.
Born Sept. 21, 1911, in Drakes, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Vanyo) Brisinsky
Mrs. Dunnell enjoyed playing board games, the outdoors, fishing, gardening, embroidery, cooking and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy DeVore of Niles; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, on April 13, 1977; a son, Frederic; a sister, Mary Sutherland; and four brothers: Alex, Louis, Joseph and Theodore Bryson.
Service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Paine Funeral Home, 3119 W. Water St., Rock Creek.
Calling hour is from 1 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Helen J. Adolphsen
YOUNGSTOWN – Helen J. Adolphsen, 84, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Northside Hospital.
She was born September 18, 1921 in Carnegie, PA, the daughter of Adolph and Marcella (Matuszewski) Janc and had been a Youngstown resident since 1992.
After graduating as valedictorian of Princeton High School, she joined the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) during World War II before being honorably discharged.
She worked 9 years as a teller for Peoples Bank in New Castle, PA before marrying her husband, Albert Adolphsen on January 3, 1954 and moving to Ashtabula.
A member of First Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her survivors include two sons, Arthur Adolphsen of Youngstown and Chris Adolphsen, Doctor of Physics at Stanford University, of Menlo Park, CA; one grandson, Jacob; and her sister, Eugenia “Jean” Burd of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1986; two brothers, Chester and Richard Jance; and her parents.
A service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Long, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, N. Kingsville, OH.
A calling hour will be held Saturday from 12 to 1 PM at the funeral home.
