Mary F. Hall
SALEM - Mary F. Taylor Hall, 51, of East 5th Street, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 13, 1950, in East Liverpool, the daughter of John and Delores (Hayes) Taylor.
She had been a counselor at the Drug Prevention Clinic, Ashtabula, before moving to Salem.
Ms. Hall graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1969.
She had attended the Second Baptist Church, East Liverpool, and had volunteered for the Salvation Army and Goodwill.
Survivors include, her mother; stepfather, Earl Taylor Sr.; four brothers, Earl "Tookie" Taylor Jr. of East Liverpool, Hayes Taylor of Wheeling, W.Va., Guy Taylor Sr. of Midland, Pa., and Nelson Taylor of Marion; three sisters, Whitney Taylor-Washington of Youngstown, and Barbara Jean Harshaw and Vernie Williams of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Chapel of Riverview Cemetery, 2026 St. Clair Ave., East Liverpool, with the Rev. Roosevelt Thompson of First Baptist Church, Wellsville, officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 15874 St. Clair Ave., Calcutta.
Robert N. Basen
LAKEWOOD - Robert N. Basen, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, in Conneaut.
He was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Cleveland, the son of Jacob and Lillian (Carter) Basen.
He married Frances Stewart on Dec. 26, 1938, they were married 53 years before her death in 1991.
He attended school in Cleveland and in Conneaut.
Mr. Basen worked on Lake Erie ore boats and served in the U.S. Army before World War II, being stationed in Hawaii.
He then worked for the Railway Postal Service for 34 years, retiring in 1972.
Mr. Basen was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church for 55 years and was active in volunteer work and Sunday School at the church. He also was a member of the Barton Center, Lakewood.
He was a member of Rocky River Lodge 703 Free & Accepted Masons and enjoyed golf and bowling well into his 80's.
Survivors include his brother, Bill of Torrence, Calif.; six children, Helen Mackey of Conneaut, Ron of Conneaut, Jim of North Kingsville, Nancy May of Whitehouse, Robert of Rocky River and Mary Kaim of Cleveland; and 57 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Clayton, Walt and Frank and a grandson, Robert A.
Service is 3 p.m. Saturday at the Amboy United Methodist Church, 554 W. Main St., Conneaut, with Dr. John Graham and Rev. Gina Kim officiating.
The Saxton-Parker-Daniels Funeral Chapel Inc., 15800 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, has charge of the arrangements.
Barbara L. Krupsa
CHAMPION - Barbara L. Krupsa, 48, of Champion, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at the Kinsman home of her mother.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman.
Richard D. Brees
THE VILLAGES, FL - Richard David Brees, 70, formerly of Ashtabula, died Saturday, February 22, 2003.
Born on November 7, 1932, in Cuyahoga Falls, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Brees retired as a materials manager for General Electric Co. He moved to Florida, from Ashtabula, in 2000.
He was a member of the Second United Church of Christ in Ashtabula. Mr. Brees was a member and past master of Rising Sun Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, and El Kadir Lodge, both in Ashtabula.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Brees of The Villages, FL; two sons, Michael of Concord, and David of Medina; and a sister, Jeannette Messenger of Longview, TX.
Mr. Brees was cremated, and a Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Second Congregational Church, 319 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with Rev. Glen Warner officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Congregational Church.
William G. Price
PORT CHARLOTTE - William G. Price, 70, died Sunday, March 30, 2003.
He was born Aug. 27, 1932, in Jefferson, the son of Howard and Virginia Price, and was a 1951 Edgewood High School graduate.
Mr. Price was an Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War. He retired from the Chemical Division of General Tire Company in 1984.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Katheryn (Karvonen); sons, David of N. Kingsville, and Mark of Geneva; daughters, Robin Ettinger of Jefferson and Gail Kurdas of Erie; three granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
Before moving to Florida, Mr. Price was a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church of Ashtabula, and was an active volunteer for Habitat, Big Brothers and the Ashtabula Hospital. In Florida he volunteered at Meals on Wheels, Hospice and Charlotte Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Jefferson Square Dance Club.
A memorial service was at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church in Florida. Another service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at East Side Presbyterian Church, 3440 Edgewood Dr., Ashtabula.

Dennise C Bishop
December 17, 1951 - November 28, 2011
Dennise C. Bishop, 59 of East Center Street, North Kingsville died Monday (November 28th) surrounded by her loving family and Beloved dog “Gizzy” in North Kingsville. She was born December 17, 1951 in Portsmouth, Virginia the daughter of Ralph D. and Muriel (Tipple) Bishop.
She graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1970 and was employed at Towers Watson in Cleveland, Ohio.
Surviving her is her mother, Muriel Hunter in Kingsville, Ohio; six siblings, Ralph Bishop, Jr. of Seattle, Washington, Donna (Tim) Wood of Sheffield Township, Diane Hunter of Medina, Ohio, Doris (Dan) Harper of North Kingsville, Arthur J. Hunter of Kingsville and Brian S. Hunter of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; a Aunt, Anne Lee of England and her beloved dog, “Gizzy”. She was preceded in death by her father and by a sister, Lorraine M. Bishop.
At her request there will be no services. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the family in care of the funeral home. The Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth M Reasner

Elizabeth M. Reasner, 97 of South Ridge Rd. West, Saybrook Township died Saturday (Nov. 19th) at Saybrook Landing. She was born January 15, 1914 in Saybrook Township the daughter of Fred and Martha (Shipbaugh) Dubach and has been a life time area resident.
She had been a Bus Driver for Ashtabula Area Schools until her retirement. She and her husband, owned and operated “The Milky Way” dairy farm retiring in 1985. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, gardening and planting flowers.
She is a member of the Ashtabula Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Surviving her is her daughter, Martha Burlin of Ashtabula; three grandchildren Julie (Billy) Rose of Colorado Springs, Co., Janien (Brian) Orris of El Cajon, California and Martin Burlin of Ashtabula; one great-grandson, Andrew Burlin; a sister, Annabelle Swedenborg of Ashtabula; two brothers, Ralph and Robert Dubach and she was known as “Aunt Betty” to her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Reasner in 1990; her son-in-law, John Burlin; three brothers, George, John and Fred Dubach and a sister, Alberta in infancy.
Funeral service will be Tuesday (Nov. 22nd) at 1:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Donald Mack leading the service. Burial will be in Saybrook Township Cemetery.
Calling hour will be Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.
