Madelyn "Cis" E. Gillette
CLEVELAND - Madelyn "Cis" E. Gillette, 60, of Geneva, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland, OH.
Born on January 6, 1943 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of Harry and Madeleine (Lees) Martell and was a resident of Geneva for 48 years.
She attended Kent State University and was a Home Health Care Worker for 20 years, until she retired in July of this year.
Madelyn was a very caring, compassionate and dedicated person. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved animals and supported many local charities. Her presence and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by many who loved her.
Survivors include two daughters, Darla (Donald) Guesman of North Kingsville, and Paula (Scott) McClure of Ashtabula; two grandchildren, Nicole Rae Kennison, and Ryan Scott McClure; and a sister, Regina White of Albion, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Shirley Clark, and Doris May Martell.
A Funeral Service will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2003, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. Reverend Paul Tobin, of Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva, will be officiating.
Calling Hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2003, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME OF GENEVA.

Mable Louise Luce
PERRYVILLE PLACE - Mable Louise Luce, 79, of Perryville Place, died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at her home.

ROAMING SHORES - Jack Cone, 67, of Roaming Shores, a longtime Madison resident, died Thursday, June 12, 2003 at Hospice of the Valley, Mesa, Arizona.

Angeline T. Felix
CARSON CITY, Nev. - Angeline T. (Vocca) Felix, 81, a long-time Ashtabula resident, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, in a Carson City, Nev. hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Ashtabula, to Nickolas Vocca and Carmella Fasulla. Her early life was spent in Ashtabula.
After graduating from high school, she married William F. Felix Jan. 11, 1947. The couple stayed in Ohio until 1959, when they moved to Anaheim, Calif. In 1989, they retired and moved to the Carson City, Nev. area.
Survivors include her husband; son William Felix Jr. of Carson City, Nev.; brothers Francis Vocca of Ashtabula and Donald Vocca of Pataskala; sister Lucille Licata of Ashtabula; and grandchildren Justin McKibben and Nicholas Felix, both of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Memorial Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1200 E. 21st St., Ashtabula.

Mildred M. Smith
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Mildred Mary Smith, 96, formerly of Andover, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at the Seabrook Frazier Center, Hilton Head, S.C.
She was born Nov. 14, 1906, in Kingsville, to Glenn W. and Nellie (Lees) Aldrich.
Mrs. Smith lived in Hilton Head Island, S.C., since 1996. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School and attended Wooster College. She married William A. Smith March 21, 1930.
For many years, Mrs. Smith worked with her husband in operating the Andover Hardware Store.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover, where she was active in the Rainbow Sunday school class. She served on the board of trustees of the Andover Public Library and was a member and past matron of the former Floral Chapter 54, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include son William Aldrich Smith of Andover; daughter Barbara L. Cain of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, her parents, and brothers Layland and William Aldrich.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, officiated by the Rev. Jeffrey W. Stoll, pastor of the Andover First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.
Calling hours are noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Edna Mae C. Melugin
PRYOR, Okla. - Edna Mae Campbell Melugin, 95, of Pryor, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002.
She was born Oct. 18, 1906, in the New Canaan Community southeast of Pryor Indian Territory. For the past 59 years, she lived at her farm west of Pryor.
Mrs. Melugin attended Pryor High School until 1925. She was a farmer-stockwoman and entrepreneur, working part time many years, and a mother and homemaker. From the 1960s to the mid-1980s, she served as a judge for all the elections held in the Osage School community. She volunteered for many years at the Pryor Rescue Mission; belonged to a quilting club, which donated proceeds from quilt sales to local charities; and was a member of the Mayes County Home Extension Club. She also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include one son, Duane of Pryor; three daughters, Juanita Erickson of Ashtabula, and Beverly and Maj-Brit Melugin, both of Lafayette, Calif.; a brother, Jack Campbell of Pryor; six grandchildren, Diana Hutter of Augusta, Kan., Denise Swift of Madras, Ore., Robert Melugin and Leigh Melugin-Johnson of Pryor, Aaron Wiseman of Anchorage, Alaska, and Erin Nichols of Santa Barbara, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Willie M. (Bill) Melugin, in 1994; a son, Donald; and one grandson, Brooks.
Funeral services took place Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerold Pilant officiating.
Burial will be today at Graham Memorial Cemetery.

Richard R. Sasala
DORSET TOWNSHIP - Richard R. Sasala, 71, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Sasala was born March 22, 1931, in Cleveland, the son of Steve and Rosa Sasala.
A former 16-year employee of the Home Juice Co., in Cleveland, as a home delivery and sales representative, Mr. Sasala had lived in Dorset since 1993. He also worked for Auto Parts Unlimited in Cleveland for 10 years, as a sales clerk.
He was in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara M. (Blaha), whom he married July 2, 1955; two sons, Richard S. Sasala of Wellington, and Ronald J. Sasala of Pierpont; a daughter, Linda J. Ottenweller, also of Wellington; a brother, Joseph Sasala of Brook Park; a sister, Rose Coleman of Parma; nine grandchildren, Ricky Sasala, Andy Sasala, Joe Sasala, John Sasala, Jeff Sasala, Joe Kraley, Jenny Sasala, Kelly Ottenweller and Cecelia Hopson; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Nick, Steve and Sam Sasala; and a sister, Mary Heym.
Service is 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, with the Rev. Larry Frient officiating.
Burial is 2 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.

Carolyn F. Musgrave
BRADENTON, Fla. - Carolyn Frye Musgrave, 58, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, of cancer.
She was born in Princeton, Ind., and moved to Florida with her parents in 1957. She graduated from Manatee High School in 1961 and worked as a dental assistant for more than 30 years. She served as president of the Manatee-Sarasota Dental Assistants Association. She was office manager of two family dairies as well as other cattle and family real estate interests.
Mrs. Musgrave was an active member of Evangel Baptist Church of Bradenton, Fla. She played piano at her church, as well as other churches in the area as needed.
Survivors include husband Roger Musgrave, a former Ashtabula County resident; daughters Natalie Ray of Dunedin, Fla., Valerie Cauthen of Franklin, Tenn., and Kimberly Schmidt and Laurie Peebles, both of Bradenton, Fla.; sons Timothy Moffett and Arlie Musgrave, both of Bradenton, Fla.; father Morris Frye of Hayesville, N.C.; sister Jackie Fralish of Bradenton, Fla.; brother John Frye of Sarasota, Fla.; and grandchildren Brandon Ray, Ashley and Cody Cauthen, Heather and Caleb Schmidt, and Amanda and Dustin Peebles.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Jim (Tiny) Moffett in 1973, mother Ruperta Frye and brother Richard.
Services were April 29 in Oneco, Fla.
