PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP - Gladys L. Orchard, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Carington Park Nursing Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, 85 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. William L. Offutt officiating.
Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 85 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, 44047, or to the Salvation Army, 3527 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, 44004.

William R. Baker
RIDGECREST, Calif. - William R. Baker, 57, formerly of Conneaut, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000.
The son of Thomas and Dorothy Trask Baker, he was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Ashtabula.
He resided in Conneaut until he moved to California in 1953.
Mr. Baker was a manager for a furniture company, retiring this year.
He served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed stamp collecting and reading.
Survivors include one sister, Sally Sillanpaa of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services or calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.
Charles Edward Benn

Charles Edward Benn, age 65, of Ashtabula, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on July 8, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Samuel and Betty (Daniels) Benn. Charles was a 1968 graduate of Conneaut High School, where he played football and basketball.
Chuck enjoyed cooking for family and friends. His family was first in his heart. His philosophy was to never give up, battling his cancer to the end.
Chuck is survived by his brothers, Everett of Chicago and Robert (Jen Zigmont) of Ashtabula; sister, Brenda (Mike Heidelberg) Williams of Ashtabula; nephews, Michael (Crystle) Williams, Brian (Lavazhia) Williams, Jeffrey (Davina) Williams and Douglas Williams; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry in infancy; sister, Patricia Goebel; sister-in-law, Cynthia Benn; nephew, Shaun Benn; and good friend, Evelyn Bright.
A Memorial Service will be held 5 p.m., Friday, April 8th, at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. Calling Hour will be 4 p.m. until time of Service at the Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vargai and staff, the Hospice unit of the Cleveland Clinic, Lighthouse Harvest Foundation, and Country Club Retirement for their caring efforts.

Daniel J. Lemire
CLEVELAND - Daniel J. Lemire, 57, of West 25th St., Cleveland, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 20, 2003, at his residence.
He was born June 24, 1945, in Cleveland, the son of George A. and Matilda M. (Simon) Lemire, and has lived the past 15 years in Cleveland. Mr. Lemire previously lived in Richmond Township.
Mr. Lemire was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He attended St. Malachi's Catholic Church in Cleveland.
Survivors include two sisters, Jeanne M. Novotny, of Ashtabula, and Therese L. Hoffman, of Vermilion; three brothers, Leonard P. Lemire of Akron, Jerome A. Lemire of Jefferson, and Richard A. Lemire of Richmond Township; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George in 1977, and Matilda, in 2002; and two brothers, Thomas J. Lemire, in 1972, and Timothy G. Lemire, in 1999.
A memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Malachi's Catholic Church, Washington and West 25th streets, in Cleveland, with the Rev. Anthony Schuerger, of the church, officiating. Cremation took place at the Care Group Cremation Center in Jefferson.

Mark J. Anderson
WAUKEGAN, ILL. Mark Jeffery Anderson, 43, of Waukegan, Ill., died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Condell Memorial Hospital, Libertyville, Ill.
He was born July 14, 1959, in Chicago, Ill., to John Anderson and Ruth Coach. He was a former resident of Ashtabula.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was president of the Kiska Association.
He is survived by his father of Anderson, Texas; his mother of Ashtabula; wife, Sharon; stepchildren Caitlin and Steven White; one brother, John Anderson of Ohio; one sister, Mary Czuchra of Geneva; half brothers Brian, Brent and Barry Anderson; half sisters Colleen Jeffers and Karen Coach.
Services took place Wednesday at the Peterson and Patch Funeral Home, 408 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, Ill.
Frank W. Buehner
MALVERN - Frank W. Buehner, 61, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Cleveland, the son of Frank J. and Matilda M. (Gramc) Buehner.
Mr. Buehner was an Army veteran and a former truck driver.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge 481 in Massillon, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid Bob Dylan fan.
Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Thompson, Frank O'Connor and Alfred O'Connor, all of Arizona; a brother, William Buehner of Rock Creek; and sisters, Elaine Sintic of Eastlake, Carol Landis of Willoughby, Virginia Miller of Levittsburg and Linda Rhodes of Chandler, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, William Robinson; and a stepbrother, Nelson Robinson.
Service is 3 p.m. Friday, at the Paine-Simpson Funeral Home, 3119 W. Water St., Rock Creek. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
Calling hour at the funeral home is 2 p.m. Friday until time of service.
Martha E. Roboski
HEATH - Martha E. Roboski, 80, formerly of Gore Road in North Kingsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at the Heath Nursing Care Center in Heath, where she had lived the past three years.
She was born July 16, 1922, in Conneaut, the daughter of Andrew and Hilda (Kauppi) Jarvi.
She was a homemaker and a former member of the Finnish Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruth D'Amico of Phoenix, Ariz., Betty J. Gress of Heath and Sharon Flesher of Ashland; a son, Terry D. Strong of Silver Creek, N.Y.; three sisters, Leah Kleimo of Conneaut, Viola Twitchell of Ashtabula and Ruth Linwood of Sandusky; a brother, Vernon Jarvi of Conneaut; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward W. Roboski, in 2000; a son, Charles Roboski, in 1995; four brothers, Ralph Jarvi, and Frederick, Oliver and Edward Jarvi; and three sisters, Helen Jarvi, Sylvia Kantola and Catherine Schlaich.
Service is 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. The Rev. Raymond Thomas, pastor of St. Mary and St. Frances Cabrini churches, will officiate. Entombment will be Monday at the mausoleum of Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
