Kathryn "Kay" Appleguist
BRISTOLVILLE Kathryn "Kay" Appleguist, 73, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Forum Health Trumbull Hospital, Warren.
Mrs. Appleguist was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of Frank and Haddie (Wilson) Yager. A long-time resident of the area, she wintered in Fort Myers, Fla.
She married Lyle S. Appleguist Oct. 18, 1958 in Bristolville.
A bank teller at Middlefield Banking Co. for many years, she enjoyed playing cards, sewing, and going to flea markets and garage sales. She was a member of the Bristolville High School class of 1945.
She is survived by her husband; three brothers: James Yager of Bristolville, Frank Yager Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and John Yager of Warren.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Albert Yager; and one sister, Betty Styno.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 275 E. Main St., West Farmington. The Rev. Marty Dennis of Champion Church of the Nazarrene will officiate. Burial will be at Sager Memorial Cemetery, Bristolville.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rondie L. Graham
CLEVELAND - Rondie L. Graham, 68, of Clay Street, Jefferson, OH, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
He was born in Amigo, WV on March 4, 1935, the son of Hobert M. and Bessie M. (Dillon) Graham. He has lived in the Jefferson area for the past 22 years, moving here from Mentor, OH. He married Glenda R. Spangler on June 1, 1957 in Painesville, OH.
He was an employee for 28 years with the Lubrizol Corp. in Painesville as a Security Guard, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, the Masonic Temple 28 of Painesville, and a Mentor firefighter for 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, golf, billiards, and was a model car collector.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda; three sons, Rondie M. (Kimberly) Graham, and Michael D. of Painesville, Steven D. (Heather) of Jefferson; five grandchildren, Jessica, Victoria, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Steven Graham II; one brother, Vernie R. Graham of Mentor; and three sisters, Lillie Mae Bonar of Amigo, WV, Violet Grubb of Mentor, and Marilyn L. Lambert of Orlando, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lawrence H., and Otis R. Graham.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the FLEMING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson, OH, with Minister Troy Elam officiating. Contributions will be made to the First Baptist Church of Jefferson. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Oakdale Cemetery.

Kenneth C. Graham
MARIETTA - Kenneth C. Graham, 81, of Iroquois Dr., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Melbourne, Australia, the son of Alfred and Nora Graham, and was a Jefferson resident before moving to Marietta in 1970.
Mr. Graham served six years in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II. He married Sue Baber on June 23, 1945 in Jefferson. He worked for Union Carbide Corporation in Jefferson, Charleston W.Va. and Marietta, and retired in 1981.
He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, was a certified safety professional and past master of Tuscon Lodge No. 342, F & A.M. in Jefferson. He was also a member and past president of the Jefferson Rotary Club and a member of the B.P.O.E. in Marietta.
He is survived by three daughters; S. Kay Maidens of Marietta, Linda J. Bryce of Casper Wyoming and Sandra L. Hara of Dayton; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and an infant brother.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 318 Front St., Marietta, the Rev. Linda N. Steelman officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson at the convenience of the family.

Amy A. Ermatinger
CATONSVILLE Md. - Amy Alma Ermatinger, 76, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Mariner Health Nursing Home in Catonsville.
She was born July 1, 1926, in Nitro, W.Va. the daughter of Robert L. and Gertrude (Pritchard) Bailey.
She worked from 1948-58 for AT&T in Ashtabula, as a telephone operator and volunteered as a nursing assistant at Little Sisters of the Poor in Catonsville.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Ermatinger; her parents; sons, Robert of Catonsville, James of Cape Girardeau, Mo., John of Baltimore, and Paul of Douglasville, Pa.; a sister, Lorraine Burnside of Colorado Springs, Co.; and five grandchildren.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Hubbard Funeral Home, 4107 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore Md. 21229.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Rt. 40 and St. Agnes Lane, Baltimore. Father Cummings will officiate.

Mary Carter
LEXINGTON, N.C. - Mary Carter, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Pulaski County, Va., the daughter of Robert and Hattie (Tindell) Blevins.
Mrs. Carter retired from Young-Hinkle.
She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and a member of the Lexington Senior Citizens Club and the Woodman of the World Lexington Post, where she was a former president. She was a member of American Legion Post 8 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3074 Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Becky Watkins of Lexington, N.C.; sons Kenneth Cupp of Lexington and Daniel Cupp of Midland, Texas; stepsons Billy Carter and Jimmy Carter of Kinston; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert L. Blevins of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Cupp, in 1971; her second husband, Lehman Carter Jr., in 1997; a grandson, Kenneth Cupp, in 1985; and a sister, Veora Whaley.
Service is 2 p.m. Friday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, N.C. Burial will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Roy J. Beeler
CLEVELAND - Roy J. Beeler, 93, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in Lakewood Hospital in Lakewood.
Mr. Beeler was born June 20, 1909, in Hamilton, the son of Daniel and Louise Beeler.
A Cleveland resident for 50 years, he was a self-employed accountant.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; two sons, Richard of Chardon and James of Chicago; and two grandchildren, Amanda Montgomery of Uniontown and Ryan Beeler of Willowick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul; and sister, Helen Roll.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 468 Mentor Ave., Painesville, with the Rev. Gerald Kalb officiating.
The burial will be private.

Kenneth G. Jaskela
PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP - Kenneth George Jaskela, 49, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Jaskela was born Dec. 1, 1952, in Painesville. He lived in Plymouth for the past seven years and formerly lived in Painesville Township.
A 1971 graduate of Riverside High School, he owned and operated North Star Carpentry for the past 15 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Painesville, Alcoholics Anonymous, Carpenters Local 639 and the Plymouth Township Zoning Board.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy (Choate), whom he married June 17, 1989; son Shawn Richardson of Ashtabula; mother Mikie Jones of Madison; brother Keith Jones of Madison; and father Howard Choate of Mississippi.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
