Pamela J. Shively
ANTIOCH, Calif. - Pamela J. Shively, 42, died Friday, May 17, 2002, in Antioch, Calif.
She was born Feb. 2, 1960, in Warren, the daughter of Douglas L. and Marilyn J. (Elliott) Shively.
Ms. Shively lived in northeast Ohio much of her life, but also lived in Florida, Denver, Los Angeles, and, for the past year, in the San Francisco area.
A Champion High School graduate, she worked for several companies during her career as a computer programmer.
She was a member of the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Pose; raised and showed golden retrievers, and loved horses and computers.
Survivors include her mother, Marilyn Whiting of Jefferson; her father and stepmother, Joan M. Shively of Warren; a grandfather, Raymond E. Elliott of Vancouver, Wash.; three brothers, D. Keith Shively of Denver, Colo., Jeffrey L. Shively of Northfield, and Frank L. Shively of Warren; and two sisters, Denise A. Wilks and Kerry S. Neubauer of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Whiting; and grandparents, Iva Bickerstaff and Virgil and Virginia Shively.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oakdale Cemetery, North Market Street, Jefferson, with the Rev. Paul Daug of Champion Presbyterian Church officiating.
Following the service, about 2:30 p.m., friends will gather at Mug's Restaurant, 18 S. Chestnut St., Jefferson.
The Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, has charge of the arrangements.
James V. Otto
NORTH CANTON - James V. Otto, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born in Geneva, and graduated from Geneva High School, where he held basketball honors and was a member of the Geneva Letterman's Association.
He was an avid golfer, a member of the Buckeye State Golfing Association, the Sharp Shooters Team, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5047.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Otto was a retired Stark County sheriff's deputy.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his fiancee, Sara Cook; a son, James of Dallas, Texas; and a granddaughter, Leslie Otto of Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn; his second wife, Donna; and his parents.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 522 30th St., Canton, with the Rev. Russell Long officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Garden.
Calling hours are 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton.

Glena Jean Norris
BOARDMAN - Glena Jean Norris, 54, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 9, 1947, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Donal G. and Ruth E. (Hewins) Woodard.
Mrs. Norris moved to this area in 1966. She retired from Postal Church Services, Youngstown, in 1986, where she had worked from 1979 until 1986.
She was a member of the Boardman Christian Church.
She married Harold F. Norris on April 18, 1996. He died Sept. 30, 1997.
Survivors include her mother of Andover; a son, Mark A. Bogadi of Austintown; a daughter, Teressa Y. Timms of Boardman; three brothers, D. Rex Woodard of Jonesville, Va., Brian G. Woodard of Ashtabula and Craig L. Woodard of Kinsman; two sisters, Jill Lewis and Ann McNeilly of Andover; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin; and three sisters, Arlene, Cheryl and Leigh Woodard.

Karl D. Welty
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Karl D. Welty, 92, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, in Sandy, Utah.
He was born July 18, 1909, in Bucyrus, the son of John Godfrey and Rosa (Leuthold) Welty.
He married Evelyn Hope Krumbach on Aug. 26, 1934. They were married 59 years until Evelyn’s death on Nov. 28, 1993.
He grew up and went to school in Bucyrus and as a youth was active in the 4-H club.
Mr. Welty started and managed the Quality Dairy, Bucyrus. He later moved to Ashtabula and managed the Sealtest-Telling-Belle Vernon Dairy, Murray’s Soda Bar and owned and managed the Welty’s Soda Bar.
He later worked as a security guard at Rockwell Standard. While in Ashtabula he was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. Mr. Welty also was a 32nd degree Mason.
He retired to Ojai, Calif., where he was an honorary deputy sheriff for Ventura County and worked as a gardener. Mr. Welty was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Carpinteria, Calif.
Survivors include his sons, John F., James L., Jeffrey M., and Jay D.; daughters, Johanna S. Welty and Jaynee A. Ghaeini; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard L.; a brother; and five sisters.
Service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, with the Rev. Reuben Leuthold officiating. Burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Audrey Mari Hanrahan
HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP - Audrey Mari Hanrahan, 46, of Harpersfield Township, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at her home.
Born Sept. 5, 1954, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Margery Hanrahan and Charles Cremeans.
She was an area resident for 11 years, having moved from Cleveland Heights.
She worked as an operator for nine years at Plasticolors.
She enjoyed nature and bird watching and loved animals.
Survivors include her mother of Cleveland; one sister, Lenore Reese of Cleveland; and two brothers, Michael Cremeans of Cleveland and Bob Cremeans of Montville.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Behm Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva.

Dollie J. Simpkins
KELLOGGSVILLE - Dollie J. Simpkins, 65, 4722 Church St., died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at her son's home in Paden City, W.Va.
She was born Sept. 22, 1935, in Logan, W.Va., the daughter of Grover C. and Lennie M. (Stollings) Bias.
She lived in Ohio for several years. She was employed as a housekeeper for Grand Valley Country Manor in Windsor.
She was a member of Denmark Pentecostal Church of God and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4035 in Andover. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, dancing, camping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons: James and David, both of Paden City, Everett of St. Marys, W.Va., and Jeffrey of Kelloggsville Township; three daughters: Diana White of Williamsfield, Mary Brown of Cherry Valley and Rhonda Perry of North Kingsville; and a sister, Virginia Butcher of Mertztown, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Ivy, Henrietta and Annelene Bias; four brothers: Emmett and Archie Bias and Everett and Edward Sawyers; and two grandsons: Darrell Edward Simpkins and Ronnie Allen Tackett.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Denmark Pentecostal Church of God, routes 167 and 193 in Denmark Township. Burial will follow at Cherry Valley Cemetery, Cherry Valley Township.

Marie I. Johnson
CLEVELAND - Marie I. Johnson, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at her Cleveland home.
She was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Croatia, the daughter of Stjepan and Jelka Mesic, and lived in Ashtabula for many years shortly after her marriage.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Patrick Church in Cleveland.
Survivors include neices and nephews: Maria Bower, Anka Valentic, Jelka Marinic and Anthony Mesic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Johnson; and a brother, Miko Mesic.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Dec. 21 at St. Patrick Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
