Nicholas R. Moretti
CLEVELAND - Nicholas R. Moretti, 84, of Geneva, died Monday, December 1, 2003 in Cleveland.
Born February 22, 1919 in Oakfield, NY, he was the son of Dominic and Ida (Comino) Moretti.
Mr. Moretti was a 1936 graduate of Oakfield High School in New York. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva, and the Painesville Elks. He was also a member of the Lake County Nurserymen’s Association where he was honored for his contributions to the nursery industry. He was the originator of “Bonanza Gold Barberry”.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater.
Mr. Moretti enjoyed riding his bike and spending winters in Florida.
He was the owner/operator of Moretti Nursery in Perry from 1947-1992.
He is survived by his son, Richard N. (Veneta) Moretti of Madison; his daughter, Margaret Ann (Robert) Hussey of Troy, OH; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers, Anthony and Bernard Moretti, both of Buffalo, NY, and Louis Moretti of Palm Bay, FL; two sisters, Splendora DiSanto and Lucy Constantino, both of Batavia, NY; and a sister-in-law, Florence Dennis of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pauline (Colavecchio), whom he married on June 26, 1947 in Painesville; his brother, William Moretti; and two sisters, Helen and Mary Moretti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street in Geneva. Reverend Paul Tobin of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 3, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 175 South Broadway, Geneva.

Harriet A. Davidson
AURORA - Harriet Ann Davidson, age 63, of Aurora, OH, died Friday, December 3, 2004, at Overlook House in Cleveland, OH.
She was born September 27, 1941 in Geneva, OH, the daughter of Dean D. and Marjorie N. (Michael) Follette.
She graduated in 1959 from Platt R. Spencer High School in Geneva, where she was Valedictorian, and she received her BA degree in English, minor in writing. Magna Cum Laude with department honors in 1992 from Hiram College, where she was Phi Beta Kappa, and she graduated from the Cleveland Culinary School in 1999.
She was employed with TRW Legal Department until her retirement in 2003.
She is a member of the Hudson Christian Science Church in Hudson, OH and the First Church of Christ Sciencetist in Boston, Mass the Mother Church. She is a member of the Wildwood Basketry Guild, The American Institute for Paralegal Studies, and she loved horses, cooking, sewing, and travel.
Surviving her is her sister-in-law, Joanie Follette of North Kingsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Davidson in 1994; and by three brothers, David A., Michael J., and Stephen J. Follette.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Arcola Cemetery in Madison, OH.

Cecil A. “Jr.” Fortier
HARPERSFIELD – Cecil A. “Jr.” Fortier, 75, of Harpersfield, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Born Sept. 18, 1929 in Maple Heights, he was the son of Cecil A. and Martha (Zuver) Fortier.
A lifelong area resident, he married Roberta E. Brail on December 23, 1948 in Austinburg.
He was self employed and owner of Fortier Equipment in Harpersfield for 50 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling with family. He also hauled grapes for local growers. He was 32nd Degree Mason; a member of the Geneva Blue Lodge F & M and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Roberta; five daughters, Bertha Clark, Lana Long, Rebecca Fortier, Nancy Kingston and Kim O’Neil; four sons, Lynn, Steven, Scott, Dustin; nineteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by a son, David; his parents; one sister and one brother.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva with Rev. Julie Hanneman of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Unionville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 at the funeral home with Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m.

Nina M. Holm
LEBANON, OH - Nina Mae Holm (nee: Fisher), age 53, of Lebanon, OH, died Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, OH, after a five year battle with breast cancer.
Nina was born February 2, 1951 to Wayne and Mary (Wellman) Fisher in Chardon, OH. She grew up in Orwell, OH where her family owned and operated the local dry cleaning business.
Nina worked as a licensed medical laboratory technician after graduating from Kettering College of Medical Arts. She later enjoyed landscaping work, designing the flowers for Hyde Park Square, businesses, and residences. Recently, her work at Tri-State Lymphedema Clinic positively influenced other cancer patients.
She felt most fulfilled as a wife and mother of four children. Her noble contribution to her family will never be forgotten.
Nina spent much of her free time outdoors. Caring for animals, being in the woods or just hearing the birds energized her. No wonder she loved gardening, walking, fishing, camping, backpacking, and other outdoor pursuits.
Dedicated to the Christian faith, she was very active in her church. Nina volunteered in the church office and accompanied the youth group to a local soup kitchen on multiple occasions. She helped kindergartners learn to read and invested in literacy efforts for adults as well. Charities she supported included: Ohio Right to Life, Campus Crusade for Christ, Race for the Cure (The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation), and Pink Ribbon Girls (an organization which provides support for young women with breast cancer).
Her family and friends will greatly miss her courage, loyalty, generosity and kindness.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Ray Holm of Lebanon, OH; son, Austin Holm (and wife Anna) of Livonia, MI; three daughters, Kelly Erbeck (husband, Greg) of Indianapolis, IN, Raina Holm of Cincinnati, OH and Carri Rodabaugh (husband, Tim) of Fairborn, OH; one grandchild, Cassy Erbeck; three sisters, Wynne Bogert of Painesville, OH, Laura Scarpate of Melbourne, FL and Kim Molnar of Lebanon, OH.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2004, at the Clearcreek Christian Assembly of God in Springboro, OH.

CLEVELAND – Jeanine (Finsel) Chatman, age 41, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004.
Survivors include her husband, David; two children, Whitney and David, two stepchildren, Daymar and Marlon; her parents, James and Sandra Finsel of 613 Buffalo Road, Garner, North Carolina; a brother, James (Dana) Finsel; a sister, Jennifer (Arthur) O’Brien and her grandmother, Margaret Finsel.

John A. Dubsky
ROAMING SHORES - John Anthony Dubsky, age 53, of Roaming Shores, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born September 21, 1950 in Painesville, OH, he was a son of Barney J. and Jeanne (DeRubertis) Dubsky and has been a lifelong area resident.
John was the owner of Saybrook Feed and Garden; and previously worked for the telephone company.
He was an avid hunter, golfer, commercial fisherman, and supporter of Ducks Unlimited.
Survivors include a daughter, Lindsay (Ken) Quinata of Leetonia; a son, Jeremy Dubsky of Ashtabula; his mother, Jeanne Dubsky of Geneva; two grandchildren, Leah and Isabel; longtime companion, Luanne Serpico of Roaming Shores; two sisters, Lisa Kellythorne of Concord and Diane Wayman of Geneva; and a brother, Barney J. Dubsky of Manchester, ME.
He was preceded in death by his father, Barney J. Dubsky.

THOMAS B. HACHA
METAMORA, MI -- Thomas Benjamin Hacha, age 49, died at his home in Metamora, Michigan, on Saturday, February 11, 2006.
Born on January 21, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, and a resident of Willoughby, Ohio, for over 20 years, Tom moved to Michigan in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Curry Hacha; his children, Carlie and Benjamin Hacha, both of Columbiaville, Michigan; his stepchildren, Katie Curry and Aaron Humble, both of Metamora, Michigan; his parents, Thomas H. and Janet N. Hacha of Ashtabula, Ohio; his sisters, Joanne N. Fisher of Richmond, Virginia, and Jennifer G. Richards of Silver Spring, Maryland; and his brother, Jeff S. Hacha of Sagamore Hills, Ohio.
