Another legacy has come to an end as Donna L. Musgrave Lowe begins a new journey as she has ended her journey here as of 7:47 A. M. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the Hospice Unit at the Ashtabula Co. Medical Center. While traveling thru this life she has very lovingly touched many people’s hearts and lives; and even though her journey has ended; her legacy and her love will continue to live on through the lives she has touched.
She was born on January 23, 1929 in Plymouth Twp., the daughter of the late Raymond & Hilda (Allen) Franklin. On June 12, 1947 she married Austin Glenn Musgrave. In the 1950’s they were noted for barn dances held at the Musgrave barn which we were told that Mr. Musgrave did as a fund raiser for the Pierpont American Legion and we still hear people talk today of the barn dance days. They also enjoyed farming together. Mrs. Musgrave enjoyed being a homemaker and was a wonderful mother and grandmother, sewing clothes for both her children and grandchildren. When Mr. Musgrave died on May 5, 1992, he left behind a wonderful woman whom her children loved very much. After six years of widowhood, Mrs. Musgrave met another wonderful man, Eugene H. Lowe; they were wed on September 23, 1998 and spent their golden years together until his death on March 15, 2012.
Although both of the loves of her life are gone there are many left behind that will miss her laughter and her love but she will continue to live on in our heart forever. Sadly we say goodbye to her for now but hope to join her again someday. Those surviving include daughters, Barbara (Ken) Eastabrooks of Brentwood, TN & Martha Chambers of Kingsville, sons, David (Barb) Musgrave of Mayo, FL & Denis (Judy) Musgrave of Greenville, PA, where she spent a few weeks with before returning to the hospital, 33 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren & a brother, Richard “Dick” Franklin of Tryon, NC.
