Ella M. Melvin, age 69, W. Erie St., Jefferson, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at her residence.
She was born February 20, 1945 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Roy & Gertrude (Gochneaur) Belden and has been an area resident all of her life. Mrs. Melvin worked in the kitchen at Eagle Pointe Skilled Nursing Home in Orwell, she also worked at Kennametal Corp. for many years before retirement.
Mrs. Melvin was affiliated with the S. Ridge Baptist Church in Conneaut and she enjoyed gardening and canning.
Survivors include a son, Kevin (Kathy) Collier of Buffalo, NY, two granddaughters and two sisters, Anna (James) Bushnell of Geneva and Marilyn (Richard) Trumble of Madison. Her parents, her husband, Ralph and a brother, Ronald Belden all preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 P. M. at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, with Pastor Roger Hogle of S. Ridge Baptist Church in Conneaut officiating. Burial will be in Orwell North Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12-1 P. M. at the funeral home. Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors has been honored to serve the Ella Melvin family.
Georgia A. Rubosky
March 16, 1930 - December 30, 2014

Georgia Ann (Mattes) Rubosky, age 84, of Huntsburg, OH, died peacefully on December 30, 2014 at the Blossom Hill Care Center, surrounded by family.
She was born on March 16, 1930, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George and Signe Mattes, the youngest of four siblings. On August 11, 1951 she married Albert John Rubosky, Sr., and they were happily married for 60 years.
Georgia was a home-maker, having raised five children. She enjoyed reading the bible, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. John Mark Lutheran Church in Homestead, Pa. for most of her life.
Georgia is survived by her daughter and four sons, Tammy Cook (Robert) of Roaming Shores, OH; Albert John Rubosky, Jr. (Barbara Cook) of Roaming Shores, OH; Steven Michael Rubosky of Concord, OH; William Charles Rubosky (Leanne Jones) of Xenia, OH; Luke Richard Rubosky(Erika Swanson) of New Castle, PA; grandchildren, Albert James Rubosky (Kelly Hadad), Beth Ellen Hooser (Brian), Jennifer Nicole Will (Brian), Steven Michael Rubosky, Jr., Joshua David Rubosky, Jessica Lynn Rubosky, Morgan Elizabeth Rubosky, and Zachary William Rubosky; one great-grandchild, Michael Nicholas Rubosky, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her sisters, Ruth Anderson, Ellen Everett, and Jean Mallesky, and their husbands.
At Mrs. Rubosky’s request, no formal service or calling hours will be held, and the burial will be private.

Douglas A. Featsent

Douglas A. Featsent, age 68 of Ashtabula, died Thursday afternoon at his residence following extended ailments.
He was born December 5, 1946 in Warren, the son of Noel W. & Betty J. (Filkins) Featsent and has lived much of his life in Ashtabula, living several years in Columbus and Florida. Doug attended Ohio University and graduated from Ohio State University. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving in the Vietnam Era. Doug was currently a substitute teacher in the Ashtabula City School System and did work for several years for the State of Ohio, Workman’s Compensation Bureau.
He enjoyed sailing and being part of the racing crew and was an excellent billiards player. Doug bartended locally through the years, as well as at his member clubs, EAC, VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors include two brothers, Rick S. (Jaclyn) Featsent of Ashtabula & Kim C. (Mary) Featsent of Plymouth Twp., five nieces and nephews, Bradley (Bethany) Featsent of Lyndhurst, Mindy (Dewann) Whetro of Orlando, FL, Kelly (Chris) Merski of Fairview, PA, Greg (Kristen) Featsent of Cummings, GA & Keith Featsent of Baltimore, MD and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother & sister-in-law, Larry & Trudi Featsent.

John H. Chapin

John H. Chapin, age 62, St. Rt. 46 in Lenox Twp, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at his residence.
He was born November 11, 1952 in Ashtabula, the son of the late Kenneth & Patricia (McClintock) Chapin and has been an area resident all of his life. He was married to the late Barb J. (Gallagher) Chapin on June 23, 1973 in Ashtabula.
John was a self-employed contractor. He was a hard worker and enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music and also playing on-line poker.
Survivors include three children, Jason E. Chapin of Lenox Twp., Timothy J. (Vicky) Chapin of Logan & Tammy L. (Eileen Sutton) Chapin of Shreve, four grandchildren, Katrina, Breanna, Josh & Zach and five siblings, Janie Fishman & Patti (Ron) Ensell, both of Saybrook Twp., Russ Chapin of Las Vegas, NV, Sue Edwards of Chula Vista, CA & David (Edie) Chapin of Payson, AZ.

Shawn D. Wright

Shawn D. Wright, age 44, Gates St., Andover, died unexpectedly early Monday morning in the emergency room at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover.
He was born December 8, 1970 in Ashtabula and has been an Ashtabula Co. resident all of his life. He was a graduate of Jefferson Area High School and the Warren Police Academy. He served a short time on the Andover Police Dept. and worked for several years at Redan Machine in Andover.
Shawn was a former member of the Andover Eagles, was an avid football and Steelers fan and enjoyed NASCAR.
Survivors include his mother, Marjorie C. Wright of Andover, a son, Jaret Austin Wright of Andover, one uncle, two aunts and several cousins.
