Linda Marie (Gresh) Martin, 61
Linda Marie (Gresh) Martin, 61, of Leetonia, Ohio, took the hand of Jesus at 5:34am on Wednesday, September 16th at her home with her loving husband close by.
She was born March 3rd, 1959 in Salem to her parents Paul and Else (Wastl) Gresh. Linda was a 1977 graduate of Lisbon High School.
She married her sweetheart on October 13, 1979 and together they were blessed with 2 loving sons. Linda had a passion for health and wellness and was able to create a career sharing that passion through Young Living.
She was an active member of Greenford Christian Church and part of a 'First Impressions' team on Sunday mornings. Linda lived her life wide open. She had a love for the great outdoors and thrived on planning their next big adventure.
She loved to travel anywhere and everywhere. From trips out west, to gazing upon the splendor of the mountains, from soaking up the peaceful serenity of the ocean beaches, to girlfriend get-aways in Vegas, even the lazy days of summer spent by the pool, these were Linda's happiest times. Not only because of where she was, but most importantly because of who she was with. Linda loved her family beyond words and treasured the memories made and shared with them. Linda was welcoming and warm.
She was a beautiful person both inside and out. Everyone that knew her loved her and she them. The word stranger was not a part of her vocabulary. To her, you were family. Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, Robert Duane Martin, two sons; Heath Alan (Megan) of Leetonia, Derek Robert (Heather) of Boyertown, PA, two grandchildren; Reed and Nolan. In addition, she is survived by three brothers; Paul (Debbie) Gresh Jr. of Lisbon, Bob (Carol) Gresh of East Liverpool, and Kurt (Melanie) Gresh of Lisbon. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, from 1 - 6pm, at Hidden Oaks, 16410 Irish Ridge, East Liverpool, OH.
Henrietta 'Yetta' Doyle, 93
SALEM - Henrietta 'Yetta' Doyle, 93, died Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 24, 1926 in Tienen, Belgium, daughter of the late Adolf Alexander and Madeleine Marie - Louise (Janssens) Janssens. Her husband, Joseph L. Doyle whom she married January 12, 1947 in New York, NY preceded her in death January 6, 2003. Yetta met Joseph in June 1945 at the street fair on the market square in Tienen. In 1946, prior to her marriage, she worked for the United States Army in Brussels. She had worked in the dietary department at Salem Hospital for 11 years and a precinct worker in Salem for 25 years. Her uncle, who was a tailor in Belgium, taught her to sew. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and refinishing furniture. Yetta spoke three languages, Dutch, French, English and also had some knowledge of German.
Survivors include two sons, James Doyle of Houston, TX and Michael (Cynthia) Doyle of Struthers; step-granddaughter, Melanie Chudik of Hilliard; best friend, Estelle Ursu of Salem and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, a sister, Janine Kustermans preceded her in death.
Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady's Purse c/o St. Paul Church, 935 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460 in appreciation for bringing Yetta communion. Per her wishes, there will be no service. An inurnment will take place later at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for both Yetta and Joseph.

Robert 'Pimp' O'Neal, 82
Robert 'Pimp' O'Neal died on September 15, 2020 at the age of 82, after an extended illness at Altercare of Alliance Nursing Home.
He was an only child born to James and Ruth Geter on Dec. 12, 1937 in Tuskegee, Alabama. Mr. Robert William O'Neal graduated from Tuskegee High School and attended Tuskegee Institute.
He was an entrepreneur and owned his own business. He enjoyed watching football and going fishing. Mr. O'Neal served in the United States Armed Forces during the Vietnam War as an Armor Crewman with Charlie Company, 4th MTB, 68th Armor Regiment. Robert served his country from September 27, 1961 thru September 20, 1963. He retired from the United States Army Reserves and honorably discharged on August 31, 1967. He retired from T&W Forge, Alliance, Ohio June after 35 years of employment.
He was a dedicated trustee, treasure, and member of the Cantell Elks Lodge #1417, 735 Ash Street, Alliance, Ohio. Robert married his loving and faithful wife Lola on March 30, 1970, they shared 50 years of marriage.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Robert 'Bob' and Mary O'Neal, parents, James and Ruth Geter, and granddaughter Nichole Dailene 'Leana' Holly.
Robert leaves behind three daughters; Darlene (Nick) Holly Sr., Charlene (Rick) Montford, Deana (Joseph) Salter, six grandchildren; Chantis Riddle, Natasha Holly, Jessica Hunter, Nickoles Holly Jr., Matthew Blair, and Alexis Blair. Three great-granddaughters; Lola - Nicole, Corilyn and Alivia, a host of family, friends, and a special cousin Nancy Oliver to grieve his loss. Friends and family are welcome to join us for Visitation on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 11 am to 1245pm at New Zion Baptist Church 1135 Jersey Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601. The funeral will follow at 1pm with Pastor Nik Holly Sr. officiating. Burial will take place at Alliance City Cemetery.

SALEM - Maribeth Graham, 38
SALEM - Maribeth Graham, 38, died Friday, September 11, 2020 at her home. She was born December 14, 1982 in Salem, daughter of the late Phillip and Terry (Graham) Wright.
Survivors include her daughter, Kyra Graham of Salem and sister, Deanna Graham of Chicago, IL. A celebration of Maribeth's life will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Centennial Park, Pavilion 1.

Richard H. Weingart, 67
SALEM - Richard H. Weingart, 67, died Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 5, 1953 in Salem, son of the late Huber and Shirley (King) Weingart. Richard worked as a welder at Electric Furnace (CMI), retiring in 2013.
He was a member of the Slovak Club and loved flying model airplanes.
He was kind, thoughtful and loved his family. He would do anything for anyone.
Survivors include his wife, Lana (Falk) Weingart of Salem, whom he married January 27, 1986; daughter, Andrea Weingart of Salem; stepson, Brandon (Cathy) Downs of North Benton; stepdaughter, Gina (Mike) Christy of Columbiana; siblings, Carol (Ed) Davis of Alliance, Terry (Chris McKinney) Weingart of Salem, Dan (Glorie) Weingart of Salem and Sam (Lisa) Weingart of Salem; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Olena) Holland of Plantation, FL, Cody Holland (fiance, Julie) of University Heights, Abi, Kate and Peyton Downs of North Benton, Delaney and Devin Christy of Columbiana and mother-in-law, Amelia Falk of Salem. Celebration of Richard's Life will be held at a later date.

Richard Scott Sindledecker
Richard Scott Sindledecker passed away on September 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Scott was born on January 4, 1942 in Warren Ohio, the only son of Paul and Lillian Scott Sindledecker. A lifelong resident of Warren Scott was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.
He was employed by the Trumbull County Highway Department as a Master Mechanic for thirty - three years. Upon retirement he began a twenty year career with Walmart in the maintenance department. Scott was happiest when outside especially during the summer months enjoying nature and his dog Dusty. He and his sons spent many days on the golf course taking in a round of golf. A proud grandfather he loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's athletic events. Scott is survived by his beloved wife of thirty - eight years Thelma Strong Sindledecker; his sons Brian (Tina) Sindledecker, Jeff (Lisa) Sindledecker and Jeremy Strong; grandchildren, Christie Szepietowski, Jessica Henline, Alex Sindledecker, Brad Sindledecker and Jennifer Sindledecker; Two great-granddaughters Savannah and Evelyn and his sister Lee Ewing.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for family and close friends will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 from Noon - 12:30 with a memorial service at 12:30 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel, 3966 Warren Sharon Road Vienna Ohio. In keeping with the practice of social distancing we ask that those attending please wear a mask.

Thomas L. Nevin, 59
NILES - Thomas L. Nevin, 59, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2020 at St. Joseph's Warren Hospital. Tom was born on October 5, 1960 in Warren, OH, raised by the late Lyle and Iva (Williams) Nevin. After graduating from high school, Tom joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country from November 13, 1979 until July 15, 2011, where he obtained the rank of Master Sergeant. In the Air Force, Tom was an electrical power production craftsman. While in active duty status, he toured with the Airforce Entertainment Ensemble known as the Tops in Blue. Tom was deployed seven different times to the Area of Responsibility in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. These deployments took place between January 2001 and September 2010. Three of those seven deployments took him to Iraq and a fourth deployment took him to Qatar where he was assigned to a Special Forces Unit in support of their power generation systems. In 2004 Tom was recognized and selected as the Warrior of the Year by the Association of America's Army and the United Service Organizations. Tom was involved in a few different organizations.
He was a member of the William Farr Masonic Lodge #672, where he held the title of Junior Deacon, the Cortland Masonic Lodge #529, the Order of the Amaranth, Progress Court #22, the Order of the Eastern Star, Sunrise Chapter #458, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Youngstown, and the Aut Mori Grotto where Tom was a clown known as Crash. Tom served as the treasurer and secretary at different times for the Trumbull County Fraternal Order of Police #195.
He was also the Senior Vice Commander for 6 years at the VFW Post #3521.
He was a member of the Western Reserve Fish and Game Association in Niles and was an honorary member of the Military Officers Association of America. One of Tom's favorite organizations to participate in, was Toys for Tots. The 910 Civil Engineer Squadron, that Tom was part of, would collect gifts and money every year at the main gate during the December Unit Training Assembly. Tom would volunteer to stand at the gate every single year to help with the collections. Most of this time, he would be dressed up as Santa Claus and he enjoyed every second of it. Tom had a variety of jobs throughout the years, but the one that he thoroughly enjoyed, was when he worked at Boardman Medical as a respiratory specialist. One of the countless hobbies that Tom loved to do, was photography and he was quite talented to say the least. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his bike, kayaking, fishing, and going to watch the Cleveland Indians and the Browns. Tom's dog Jayden 'Pickles' was a loyal companion and was loved dearly by him. Tom was a people person and never met a stranger.
He was a good friend and was loved by so many people. Tom will be deeply missed by his sister, Linda; his brothers, Steve, Jerry, and Mark; his friends, Gary, Kevin, Dan, Danny, KK, and Nick; and numerous other family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his extended family Mary and Phyllis. Visitation will be at the Lane Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel on Friday September 18, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

George Robert Basile
AUSTINTOWN - George Robert Basile passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at the Hospice House in Poland.
He was born January 26, 1934 to Salvatore and Mary (Finelli) Basile. George was a 1951 graduate of East High and furthered his education at Youngstown College, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in January of 1955 and a Professional degree in engineering in January of 1964. George began his career at Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He also worked for RMI and later retired in 1999 at Copperweld Steel as Metallurgical Engineer. An avid hunter, reader, and consumer of both morning and evening news, George was loved and respected for his honest, intelligent, and compassionate nature. He never refused to assist those who needed it and was well known for his desire to contribute in the success he saw so clearly around him. Whether this contribution was a word of encouragement or instruction, a well - prepared meal, or some muscle and sweat, it was never taken for granted and his family and friends will always remember - and miss - these selfless acts with happiness and gratitude.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Putko) Basile who he married on January 29, 1955 and who died May 12, 2019. He is survived by his children, Robert (Tamara) Basile, Karen (Jim) Best, Jeffrey (Tina) Basile, Samuel (Hebe) Basile, and Rick Basile; his sister Mary Helen Accattato; his 16 grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; his Uncle and dear friend Pat Finelli and his nephew George Accattato. Friends and family may call from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at Lane Family Funeral Homes - Austintown Chapel. Private services will be held. Sarena M. Polite, 34
BOARDMAN - Sarena M. Polite, 34, passed away Monday afternoon, September 14, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
She was born May 21, 1986 in Youngstown, a daughter of George W. and Patricia A. (Eaton) Hibbs, Sr. Sarena was a waitress at Station Square Restaurant for many years and recently at Blue Wolf Restaurant.
She was a 2004 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and then attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She also attended Youngstown State University. Sarena was chosen to join YWCA, Young Women with Bright Futures, a group that cultivates the power of diverse young women to be courageous leaders and creative changemakers.
She was a Mixed Media Artist and was gifted in Painting, Sculpting and Sketching.
She was also a talented Musician. Sarena is survived by her parents, George and Pat of Austintown; her brothers and sisters, Sarah (Larry) Harvey of Boardman, George (Lisa) Hibbs, Jr. of Austintown, Rebecca Hibbs of Austintown and Diana (James) Colopy of Akron; her nieces and nephew, Carissa (Michael) Maldonado, Blake (Gina) Hibbs and Mikaela Hibbs and her former spouse and friend, Khepri Polite of Youngstown. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes - Austintown Chapel. Wilbur Henry Kurtz, age 93
Wilbur Henry Kurtz, age 93 of Salem, died Tuesday September 15, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 5, 1927 in Salem Ohio, son of the late Earl R. and Mollie (Lehman) Kurtz. His wife, Ruby M. (Brozell) Kurtz, whom he married July 23, 1950, preceded him in death on September 25, 2019. Wilbur was a partner with his brother Edgar in the Kurtz Farm Dairy for 35 years, until his retirement in 1993. He previously worked as a route salesman for Sealtest Dairy.
He was a 70 - year member of the First Friends Church of Salem and served as an usher. Wilbur was an active member of the Green Township Fireman for 54 years and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity until he was 80 years old. He and Ruby enjoyed many years as members of the Salem Square Wheels Square Dance Club.
He was a 1945 graduate of Greenford High School and proudly served in the Ohio National Guard and the U.S. Merchant Marines. Wilbur and Ruby raised Gladiolus, which they took bouquets to individuals at their homes during illnesses and to nursing home residents. He also graciously shared the bounties of his garden with friends, family, and neighbors.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra K. (Sam) Grate of Salem OH; a son, Donald E. (Karen) Kurtz of Hartville, OH; grandchildren, Kassidy and Raegan Kurtz, Titus (Hanna) Kurtz, Mollie (Charlie) Welling, Valerie (Dominic) Williams, and Angela (Matthew Heim) Grate; great-grandson, Elliott Kurtz and brother Edgar Kurtz.
He was proceeded in death by a sister, Anna Marie Kurtz and brother, Raymond Kurtz. Services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at the First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem, OH with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating.
Calling hours will be held 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be Locust Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made in Wilbur's name to First Friends Church Building Fund, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem, OH 44460. The family would like to thank Wilbur's several home health aides, for their excellent care which allowed him to remain in his home for his final days.
